Curses from Satan always involve demon spirits. When a curse is placed, demons are sent to a specific person or family. The curse is a sending mechanism, and the spirits bring about the fulfillment of the curse.

There are several sources of curses, for example:

Where do demonic curses come from? 

• sins of the forefathers, generational curses
• dedication to Satan,
• bowing down to idols, 
• bringing cursed objects into a home,
• giving honour to demon gods,
• Participation with occultism or new age,
• touching Satan's territory, and
• Sin opens the door for curses*

*A curse can be invoked by disobedience to God's principles, commands and statutes, i.e. rebellion towards God and/or involvement in idolatry or the occult."

Freemasonry curses involve many of these facets.

Curses also come with words or oaths.  Curses are the observable out-workings of evil, negative patterns, in people's lives; in other words, the opposite of the blessings of God (Deut. 28).

As a curse is undone, all the demonic spirits associated with the curse needs to be commanded to leave.

Curses bring:

barrenness - not able to have children,
sickness - 80% of disease is caused by a curse
poverty - financial difficulties - never able to get ahead
defeat,
oppression and family breakdown - children on drugs, divorce, separation, etc.
accident-prone, and
many more examples

A person's life, for example, may have a history of disappointment and tragedy.  Marriages may be under constant strain.  There may be a recurrence of accidents and illnesses.  Cherished goals may not materialize, and the haunting sense of failure may be evident.  We may even struggle continually against an unidentifiable "something" that brings endless frustration or something blocking you and no matter how hard you try you feel like you hit a wall.  The cause is often a curse working.

A "legitimate" curse is when a person deliberately gives themselves to Satan and the power of darkness.  Legal rights are handed over.  Satan is empowered to act, and the curse takes effect.  It can only be broken when that handing over is revoked, and the covenant with Satan is specifically renounced.

An "illegitimate" curse is when a person pronounces evil upon another person without their knowledge or consent.  The same thing can then apply.

Curses have to be broken in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazareth, our Curse Destroyer.

Christians need to know that our inheritance of freedom is not automatic.  It has to be appropriated.  Only then can we be released into the fullness of our blessing in Christ.

Reiki and Christianity: Unmasking the Deception

Reiki Exposed: A Christian Warning About the Spirit Behind It

Reiki is a spiritual healing practice that has gained widespread popularity worldwide, often associated with health and well-being. It feels peaceful, even divine, but its roots tell another story. Reiki is not from God. It is a counterfeit system that taps into spiritual forces opposed to Jesus Christ.

Many Christians are deceived by the soft language of “universal energy,” “light,” and “love.” But as 2 Corinthians 11:14 warns us, “Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.” Reiki is another example of that deception—an open door to spirits that are not of the Holy Spirit.

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese word meaning “universal life energy.” Practitioners believe it is a healing force that flows through the hands to heal others. While it seems harmless or even helpful, it is deeply rooted in Buddhist mysticism and New Age practices.

The founder, Dr. Mikao Usui, was a Japanese Buddhist who claimed to have received the ability after fasting and meditating on Mount Kurama in 1914. He experienced what Buddhists call a satori—a moment of enlightenment. From there, Reiki was born.

Usui said he touched “an intense energy” that inspired him. But this inspiration did not come from Jesus Christ—it came through spiritual means foreign to Scripture. Reiki was never about God’s power but about channeling a universal force that supposedly unites body, soul, and the divine.

How Reiki Works—And Why It’s Dangerous

To become a Reiki practitioner, one must go through “attunement”—a spiritual initiation that opens a person to the flow of this “energy.” A Reiki master acts as a conduit, supposedly raising your frequency so that you become aligned with the universal force.

But what is this force? It is not the Holy Spirit. It is not the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Reiki’s source is vague and undefined—often described as “Source,” “Spirit,” or “the Force.” This spiritual ambiguity is not harmless—it’s demonic.

The ritual includes the use of symbols, mantras, and the invocation of unseen forces. The energy enters through the crown chakra and flows into the auric field, mirroring Hindu and Buddhist concepts. This mimics the laying on of hands in Christianity but originates from a completely different spiritual kingdom.

Reiki opens doors to spiritual beings. These are not angels of the Lord—they are counterfeit spirits. Former Reiki practitioners often report supernatural sensations: heat in the hands, emotional waves, vivid visions, or spiritual peace. But none of it glorifies God. Instead, it glorifies self.

A Former Practitioner Speaks Out

One former Reiki master shared:

"It was real. My hands heated up. People felt better. But God was not glorified. I kept looking for the next level of mastery, new symbols, new wisdom—until Jesus filled the void. When I gave my life to Him, I realized Reiki couldn’t fit with the cross. I tried to merge them, but God said no. Reiki leads people away from Jesus, not to Him.”

This honest testimony reveals the spiritual hunger Reiki cannot satisfy. The peace it offers is temporary and counterfeit. True healing comes only from Jesus Christ (Isaiah 53:5).

Does Reiki Line Up With the Bible? Use Discernment

Ask yourself:

• Who was the founder, and what was his spirituality? (Buddhist mystic)

• What is the source of the healing energy? (Not the Holy Spirit)

• Does the practice lead people to Christ? (No—it leads them to “spiritual masters”)

• Is there scriptural precedent for such healing rituals? (No—God’s healing comes through prayer, not attunement)

• Who is glorified—God or self? (Always self)

Deuteronomy 18:10-12 warns us against divination, sorcery, and calling upon spirits. These practices defile us and lead us into bondage. Reiki fits this description and is not a “neutral” healing art.

Conclusion: Choose Christ, Not Counterfeits

Reiki may appear beautiful, but it is not from the Holy Spirit. It is another scheme of the enemy to draw people away from Jesus. It is spiritual poison coated in healing honey. God does not need symbols, attunements, or rituals to heal—He simply speaks the word.

If you have been involved in Reiki, repent and renounce it in the name of Jesus Christ. Break the spiritual ties and close the door to deception.

How to Grow in Biblical Discernment

1. Know the Word of God
   The Bible is the standard by which we test all things. Reading and studying Scripture regularly helps you identify what is true and what is false.
   Hebrews 5:14 says, "But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil."

2. Be Led by the Holy Spirit
   The Holy Spirit is our teacher (John 14:26). He gives insight and helps us discern motives, doctrines, and spirits. Ask Him daily to sharpen your discernment.

3. Test Every Teaching
   1 Thessalonians 5:21-22 says, “Test everything. Hold on to the good. Reject every kind of evil.” Don’t just accept something because it sounds good or is popular.

4. Stay in Christian Fellowship
   Godly counsel and accountability with mature believers can help you stay on track. Isolation makes you more vulnerable to deception.

The Danger of Ignorance

Just like unchecked chronic conditions like childhood asthma are rising and affecting quality of life, spiritual ignorance leads to emotional, mental, and physical strongholds. Bitterness, fear, and false beliefs open the door to torment and suffering. Deliverance and healing begin when we recognize the lies we’ve believed and replace them with the truth of God's Word.

Is really new age medicine and is energy healing.

Many so-called Christians have adopted this modality of quantum touch, known as energy healing! The truth is they are deceived. What I'm going to do is show how they are deceived today!

What is Quantum Touch?

Quantum touch is a healing technique developed by Richard Gordon. The method involves "running energy" through the practitioner's hands to the recipient's body or energy field. There is no physical manipulation of the client. By creating a field of higher vibration at the hands, the practitioner entrains the client's energy field, raising it to the higher vibration and allowing the client's body or energy field to respond.

In Quantum Healing, Deepak Chopra describes this force of intelligence as being active in originating and sustaining creation, not only in us but in the entire universe: "Clearly, there is a counterforce pushing evolution along, creating life, fending off the threat of entropy. The counterforce is intelligence, which, at the quantum level, is far more than a mental phenomenon. Intelligence holds together the blueprint of each cell in its DNA, and many scientists now believe the same holds true of the entire universe. Intelligence is a synonym for creative power."

Did you see the words used here? Running energy, energy field, high vibration, etc.

Quantum Spirituality is basically Unitarianism, a form of universalism. The theory behind this idea is purely Eastern mysticism.

2 Co 4:4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

Quantum Healing promoted Hindu concepts that combined Hinduism and Western medicine.

Who is really healing you? Yourself, the energy, or God. The answer is that the demonic realm is healing you. Unfortunately, the demonic world can heal, but it does not last. The sickness you were healed from comes back with a vengeance in another illness.

Deepak Chopra

Deepak Chopra is from India and describes him as "the poet-prophet of alternative medicine."

He came up with the Quantum Touch, Quantum Physics, etc.

Deepak Chopra elaborates on this perceptual shift by utilizing quantum physics as verification: "Your body appears to be composed of solid matter that can be broken down into molecules and atoms, but quantum physics tells us that every atom is more than 99.9999 percent empty space, and the subatomic particles moving at lightning speed through this space are actually bundles of vibrating energy. These vibrations aren't random and meaningless; however; they carry information." The accentuated perception is that matter is composed of energy.

What is energy field?

Deepak Chopra explains that quantum physics convinces us to adopt the perception that we are energy forms.

"An even more recent revelation is the quantum field theory, which completely replaces the traditional notion that solid particles and the space surrounding them are separate and distinct. Solid objects are only temporary condensations of energy that come and go in that field. This is similar to what the oriental sages say about `form' and `emptiness' being the same thing."

Deepak Chopra's concept of energy is derived from ancient Indian teaching: "Prana is present in every mental and physical event. Prana is sometimes defined as `life force' or `life energy.'"

Deepak Chopra's new assumptions, along with the philosophy of his Ancient Wisdom, have induced the reader to adopt a philosophy parallel to the theory and practice of witchcraft. Witchcraft is not to be embraced or flirted with. It is forbidden by God and is a sin. The works of our sinful nature, which include witchcraft, are evidentially laid out in the Bible.

Astrology and the Bible: Why Christians Must Avoid It

Do you base your decisions on horoscopes or zodiac signs? Many today rely on astrology to guide their lives, unaware of its spiritual implications. But what does the Bible say about astrology? Is it simply a harmless belief—or is it something much more spiritually dangerous?

What Is Astrology?

Astrology is a form of divination—the occult practice of seeking knowledge of the future through supernatural means. It teaches that the positions of the sun, moon, planets, and stars influence human lives and world events. This pseudoscience has been practiced since ancient Babylon, where priests interpreted celestial patterns in connection with their gods.

The Babylonians developed the zodiac—twelve constellations that the sun appears to move through over the course of a year. Over time, people began associating personality traits, destinies, and guidance with these star signs. Today, astrology continues to thrive in horoscopes, psychic readings, and even apps that deliver “daily guidance.”

But is this compatible with God’s truth? Absolutely not.

Bible Verses That Warn Against Astrology

God's Word is clear: astrology is a sin. It leads people away from trust in Him and opens the door to demonic influence. Here are key Scriptures:

• Deuteronomy 4:19 (NIV):
  “When you look up to the sky and see the sun, moon, and stars... do not be enticed into bowing down to them or worshiping them.”

• Deuteronomy 17:3 (NIV):
  "...who has worshiped other gods, bowing down to them or to the sun or the moon or the stars..."

• Isaiah 47:13-14 (NIV):
  “Let your astrologers come forward... Surely they are like stubble; the fire will burn them up.”

• Jeremiah 10:2 (NIV):
  “Do not learn the ways of the nations or be terrified by signs in the sky.”

• Daniel 1:20 (NIV):
  Daniel and his companions were ten times wiser than all the magicians and enchanters of Babylon. Why? Because they followed God—not the stars.

God does not want His people to seek spiritual direction from the sky but from His voice and His Word.

The Purpose of the Heavens

God did create the heavens with purpose, but not for mystical guidance. Instead, the stars declare His glory:

• Psalm 19:1-2 (NIV):
  “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.”

• Genesis 1:14 (NIV):
  “Let them serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years…”

• Isaiah 40:26 (NIV):
  “Lift your eyes and look to the heavens… He who brings out the starry host one by one calls them each by name.”

Stars point to the Creator, not to our destinies. When people use the stars for divination, they replace God with false spiritual forces. That is idolatry.

Astrology Is Idolatry and Occult

Astrology is not harmless entertainment. It is a deceptive form of idolatry, worshiping the creation rather than the Creator. It invites spirits that do not come from God and subtly opens people to other occult practices—like tarot, crystals, or mediumship.

Even the Muslim crescent moon symbol can be traced to pre-Islamic moon worship. Islam’s founder, Muhammad, came from a culture steeped in astrology and paganism. This connection should alarm believers who dabble in “Christian astrology” or try to reconcile star signs with Scripture.

Real Stories, Real Consequences

Astrology has deceived many. Some have made major life decisions—like investments or marriage—based on planetary alignments. Others have suffered emotionally and spiritually by believing daily horoscopes or personality charts.

King Saul fell into this trap when he sought a medium at Endor. God punished him with death for consulting the dead instead of seeking the Lord (1 Samuel 28). In the same way, Christians today can suffer spiritual oppression when they open doors to occult influences—even unknowingly.

Use Biblical Discernment

To determine if a belief or practice lines up with Scripture, ask yourself:

• Who founded this practice?

• What were their spiritual beliefs?

• What culture did it come from?

• Did it honor God or false gods?

• What does the Bible say about it?

Astrology fails every one of these tests. It originated in pagan cultures, honors celestial bodies, and encourages people to trust in created things rather than the Creator.

Final Warning: Trust in the Lord, Not the Stars

Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us to trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding. That includes not trusting horoscopes, zodiac signs, or planetary alignments.

God alone knows the future. He is the source of wisdom, not the stars. If you've engaged with astrology, repent, renounce it in Jesus' name, and ask the Holy Spirit to guide your life.
