Healing the Broken Heart and Wounded Spirit: God’s Path to Restoration - Part 6

Healing the Broken Heart and Wounded Spirit: God’s Path to Restoration - Part 6

Healing the Broken Heart and Wounded Spirit: God’s Path to Restoration - Part 6

“He restores my soul...” – Psalm 23:3

Focusing on God’s truth and denying Satan’s lies is not just a mental reprogramming. It is a divine strategy to overcome sin and spiritual torment through the life-transforming power of God. Healing from a broken heart and wounded spirit is critical—not only for your emotional well-being but also for your spiritual freedom and physical health.

Step 1: Acknowledge and Express the Hurt

The first step toward healing is facing your pain. The Lord cares deeply for every wound you’ve experienced. Begin by making a list—from early memories to now—of everyone and everything that caused hurt: emotional, physical, verbal, mental abuse, betrayal, or rejection.

Job, after losing everything, worshipped God and acknowledged His sovereignty (Job 1:20–22). We must do the same—acknowledge the hurt, express it before the Lord, and begin to release it.

Step 2: Deal with Anger, Bitterness, and Resentment

Don’t fear your emotions. Give God permission to pull up the pain. Cry if you must—but surrender it to Jesus.

“Be angry, and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil.” – Ephesians 4:26-27

Unresolved anger turns into bitterness—a spiritual poison that opens doors to the enemy. It spreads through families, marriages, friendships, and churches.

“Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.” – Ephesians 4:31
“For I see that you are poisoned by bitterness and bound by iniquity.” – Acts 8:23

Bitterness is a root that supports a demonic structure: bitterness leads to unforgiveness, resentment, retaliation, anger, hatred, violence, and murder (Matthew 20:21-24; Romans 12:17-19; James 1:18-21; Titus 3:3-5; Genesis 6:13; 1 John 3:15).

Release your pain to Jesus. "God can heal a broken heart, but He must have all the pieces."

Step 3: Forgive Others, Yourself, and Even God

Forgiveness is not a feeling—it’s a decision. Unforgiveness is spiritual cancer and opens demonic doors to torment and sickness. It brings a breach in your relationship with God and others.

“If you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” – Matthew 6:15
“A merry heart does good like a medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones.” – Proverbs 17:22

Emotional pain affects your immune system. Bitterness and unforgiveness are linked to diseases like cancer, arthritis, and heart issues. Sometimes, it’s a generational curse. But the blood of Jesus breaks all iniquities (John 10:10; Daniel 9).

Forgiving Yourself

Guilt, shame, and self-condemnation keep many in bondage. Romans 8:1 declares there is no condemnation for those in Christ. You are God’s creation—rejecting yourself is rejecting Him.

“When He speaks a lie, He speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.” – John 8:44

Discern the voice you’re listening to: God's loving conviction or Satan’s destructive accusation.

Forgiving God

Some carry hidden resentment toward God. They blame Him for their pain or unanswered prayers. But often, their perception of God is distorted by childhood wounds, ungodly authority figures, or misunderstanding His plan.

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart...” – Luke 10:27

Unforgiveness toward God results in spiritual separation, anxiety, torment, financial loss, broken relationships, and even diseases. Choose to trust that He is good, even when you don’t understand.

Step 4: Let Go of the Past and Move Forward

“...Forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead.” – Philippians 3:13-14

Though the memory may remain, the sting is removed when forgiveness takes place. Your healed wounds become a testimony. Let God turn your pain into power and ministry.

“Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.” – Proverbs 4:23

How to Stay Healed: The 8 R’s of Deliverance

  1. Recognize – Every thought has a source. Is it from the Kingdom of God or the enemy? (2 Corinthians 10:4-6)

  2. Responsibility – Own your responses, even if you were the victim. (Psalm 51:2-4)

  3. Repent – Turn away from sin and release it. (1 John 1:9)

  4. Renounce – Declare your rejection of sin and old agreements. (Romans 7:14-25)

  5. Remove – Cut off sources of temptation or triggers. (Matthew 4:1-10)

  6. Resist – Resist the devil’s accusations. (1 Peter 5:6-9)

  7. Rejoice – Praise is spiritual warfare! (Philippians 4:4)

  8. Restore – Help others get free. Share your testimony. (Isaiah 61:4)

How to Guard Your Healing

  • Fill your home with praise and scripture. (Ephesians 5:26)

  • Fellowship with believers. (Acts 2:42)

  • Don’t idolize trauma or illness. (Daniel 3)

  • Know your identity and worth in Christ.

  • Walk by faith, not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7)

Scriptures for Healing the Broken Heart

  • Proverbs 12:25 – Anxiety leads to depression.

  • Proverbs 13:12 – Hope deferred makes the heart sick.

  • Proverbs 14:30 – Envy rots the bones.

  • Proverbs 17:22 – A broken spirit dries the bones.

  • Proverbs 18:14 – Who can bear a crushed spirit?

  • Hebrews 12:15 – Bitterness defiles many.

Final Word: You Can Be Whole Again

Jesus came to heal the brokenhearted and set the captives free (Luke 4:18). No matter how long you’ve carried the wounds, the Lord can restore you completely. If you're struggling, seek out deliverance ministry, prayer, and inner healing.

Healing the Broken Heart – Part 3: How to Heal a Broken Heart Through Christ

🙌 Healing the Broken Heart – Part 3: How to Heal a Broken Heart Through Christ

🙌 Healing the Broken Heart – Part 3: How to Heal a Broken Heart Through Christ

The Apostle Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 10:5 to "cast down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God." These “imaginations” are lies from the enemy—words, memories, and accusations that have lodged deep within our minds, especially from traumatic experiences. The devil constantly whispers lies: "You’re worthless. You’ll never be healed. God has forgotten you." These are not God’s thoughts.

There are two spiritual realities: God's truth and Satan's deception. A broken heart often opens the door to the latter, especially if your past includes trauma, rejection, or abuse.

Who Will You Believe?

Will you believe the lies spoken over you by a parent, abuser, teacher, or ex-spouse—or will you believe what God says about you in His Word? Healing begins when we replace demonic lies with God’s truth.

“Whose report will you believe? We will believe the report of the Lord!” – Isaiah 53:1

🧠 What Toxic Thoughts Do to Your DNA

Scientific research has proven that thoughts are not just abstract—they’re real, physical substances in your brain. Each thought you dwell on produces electrochemical responses, shaping your DNA, neurons, and even your heart. If you were sexually abused, bullied, or emotionally neglected, the emotions tied to those events still affect you today—unless healed.

Negative thoughts release toxic chemicals that alter brain chemistry, disrupt hormone balance through the hypothalamus, and reshape your heart’s cellular receptors—contributing to depression, anxiety, and even chronic disease.

Your brain literally forms “thought trees”—branched memory structures. If your thoughts are negative or fearful, these memory trees become toxic, unstable, and fragmented, creating confusion and even opening spiritual doors for demonic torment.

The Spiritual Reality of Thought

Faith and fear are both spiritual forces—but they also have chemical and electrical expressions in your body. That’s why you can’t truly walk in the peace and presence of God if your heart is broken and your thoughts are dominated by trauma and lies.

"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." – Psalm 147:3
"For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses..." – Hebrews 4:15

Jesus came not just to save our souls but to heal our broken hearts.

🩹 Signs You May Have a Broken Heart

Many people walk around spiritually wounded and emotionally broken, unaware they need healing. Do any of these sound like you?

  • Struggle to feel God's love or presence

  • Suffer chronic illnesses like Multiple Chemical Sensitivity

  • Constantly relive past abuse or rejection

  • Trouble reading or believing God’s Word

  • Live in emotional pain and isolation

  • Feel spiritually asleep or disconnected

  • Have authority issues from childhood wounds

  • Operate in fear, anger, sarcasm, or performance-based living

  • History of therapy, depression, or suicidal thoughts

  • Addicted to approval, pornography, food, or relationships

  • Easily rejected or offended

  • Blame others and feel stuck in self-pity

  • Suffer frequent negative cycles and bad luck

  • Lack joy, peace, and identity in Christ

If you identified with several of these, your heart likely has unhealed trauma, and the enemy has planted strongholds there.

🛡️ The Spiritual Battle: Cast Down Every Lie

Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 that “the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.” These strongholds are thought patterns, emotional wounds, and beliefs that resist the truth of God.

Replace the lies of the enemy with the Word of God.
Replace shame with righteousness.
Replace fear with perfect love.
Replace rejection with adoption.

🙏 How to Begin Healing Your Heart

  1. Repent of agreeing with Satan’s lies.
Lord, forgive me for believing that I’m unworthy or unloved. I break agreement with these lies in Jesus’ name.

  2. Renounce trauma as your identity.
Trauma is what happened to you—it is not who you are!

  3. Invite Jesus into the moment of pain.
Ask the Holy Spirit to take you back to the trauma. Let Jesus walk into that memory and bring His healing presence.

  4. Command spirits of rejection, shame, fear, and brokenness to go.
Use your authority in Christ. Deliverance follows inner healing.

  5. Declare God’s truth over your heart.
I am loved, I am healed, I am chosen, I am whole.

🎯 Powerful Scripture Confessions

  • “I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” – Psalm 139:14

  • “God has not given me a spirit of fear…” – 2 Timothy 1:7

  • “By His stripes I am healed.” – Isaiah 53:5

  • “The peace of God guards my heart and mind.” – Philippians 4:7

🕊️ Final Thoughts

Healing a broken heart is not a one-time event—it’s a journey with Jesus. But the process begins by casting down every lie and stronghold the enemy has built in your mind and emotions. Jesus bore your sorrows, understands your pain, and wants to walk with you into freedom and healing.

Don’t wait another day. Your healing begins with truth and ends in restoration.

Why Christians Need deliverance - Breaking Spiritual Chains

Breaking Spiritual Chains: The Biblical Power of Deliverance Ministry

Breaking Spiritual Chains: The Biblical Power of Deliverance Ministry

🔓 Breaking the Chains: The Power of Deliverance Ministry

In a fast-paced, chaotic world, many Christians silently suffer under the weight of spiritual bondage. They struggle with hidden issues like addictions, deep trauma, generational curses, demonic oppression, and past involvement in occult practices or New Age healing modalities.

You may have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior, yet still battle fear, anxiety, depression, tormenting dreams, or strange illnesses. Why? Because salvation brings you into God's kingdom—but deliverance removes what’s still oppressing you from the old one.

🤔 Why Would a Christian Need Deliverance?

Many believers ask: If I’m saved, why do I need deliverance?
Because salvation secures your spirit for eternity—but deliverance sets your soul and body free now.

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge...” — Hosea 4:6

Spiritual doors can be opened through:

  • Personal sin

  • Sexual immorality

  • Witchcraft involvement

  • Family occult roots

  • Trauma, abuse, or rejection

  • Visiting a psychic, Reiki master, or yoga healer—even once

These open legal rights for demonic spirits to enter. If left unaddressed, Christians can suffer intense spiritual attacks, confusion, torment, and cycles of defeat.

🚫 Demonic Manifestations from Occult and Trauma Exposure

Here are real-life signs of demonic bondage if you or your ancestors dabbled in the occult:

  • Sleep paralysis or hearing voices

  • Chronic fear, suicidal thoughts

  • Tormenting dreams of snakes, shadows, or drowning

  • Financial ruin without cause

  • Repeated miscarriages or infertility

  • Intense resistance to reading Scripture or praying

  • Family patterns of abuse, addiction, or early death

“And give no opportunity to the devil.” — Ephesians 4:27

Even if the sin was committed by ancestors, demons can still claim legal ground through the bloodline (Exodus 20:5). Deliverance breaks those inherited chains.

🔥 What is Deliverance Ministry?

Deliverance ministry is a biblical practice of casting out demons and healing inner wounds caused by sin and trauma. It’s not spooky—it’s spiritual surgery.

Jesus said:

“These signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons.” — Mark 16:17

It involves:

  • Renouncing sin and occult involvement (yours or your ancestors’)

  • Breaking generational curses

  • Casting out demons in Jesus’ name

  • Healing the soul with the Holy Spirit’s power

🙌 How Can You Receive Deliverance?

  1. Acknowledge you need help

  2. Repent of personal and generational sins

  3. Renounce involvement in the occult, New Age, and trauma ties

  4. Seek trained deliverance ministers for one-on-one prayer

  5. Maintain your freedom by staying in the Word and worship

At Touch of God International Ministries, we offer:
✅ Personal ministry sessions
✅ A detailed Deliverance Prayer Manual
✅ Free bi-weekly webinars
✅ Thrive Group Mentoring for Women

📖 Biblical Proof of Deliverance

  • Jesus cast out demons daily — Luke 8:2, Mark 1:39

  • Paul delivered oppressed believers — Acts 16:16-18

  • We’re told to resist the devil — James 4:7

  • Deliverance is the children’s bread — Matthew 15:26

Jesus came to:

“Set the captives free... give liberty to those who are oppressed.” — Luke 4:18

So if you’re feeling stuck—it’s not weakness. It’s time for freedom!

🛑 Dangers of Ignoring Deliverance

Ignoring spiritual bondage can lead to:

  • Lifelong cycles of defeat

  • Emotional torment or panic attacks

  • Marriage destruction

  • Unexplained sickness

  • Blocking of your God-given destiny

Don’t tolerate what Jesus already died to remove!

✅ Take Action Now

Deliverance is not a one-time prayer—it’s a process of healing, renouncing, and replacing lies with God’s truth. If you’ve:

  • Been to a psychic, energy healer, or medium

  • Practiced yoga, centering prayer, or reiki

  • Suffered abuse, neglect, or repeated trauma

  • Been born into Freemasonry or ancestral idolatry

👉 You need deliverance.

✝️ Final Thoughts

God wants you completely free—spirit, soul, and body. Jesus didn’t just come to save you but to liberate you from every chain.

“If the Son sets you free, you shall be free indeed.” — John 8:36

Now is the time. Take back what the enemy stole. Walk in healing, boldness, and freedom.

Signs You Need Deliverance

Signs You May Need Deliverance Prayer

Signs You May Need Deliverance Prayer

Get Your Free Deliverance Book

Are you facing challenges that seem spiritual in nature? You’re not alone. If you identify with any of the signs below, it may be time to seek deliverance prayer and healing ministry. Get in touch today and receive a free book to help you walk in freedom through Jesus Christ.

Do You Need Prayer for Deliverance?

Life’s battles aren’t always physical—many are spiritual. The Bible tells us that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of darkness (Ephesians 6:12). If you're experiencing the following symptoms, you may be under spiritual attack and in need of deliverance:

Common Signs You May Need Deliverance Ministry

1. Torment from Evil Spirits

Are you struggling with dark thoughts, disturbing dreams, or a heavy spiritual atmosphere around you? If you’re sensing torment from evil spirits, this is a red flag. Deliverance prayer can bring peace and restoration through the power of Jesus Christ.

2. Witchcraft Attacks

Do you feel spiritually attacked through curses, rituals, or manipulation? Witchcraft is real, and its effects can manifest as confusion, fear, mental fog, or chaos. If you’ve been exposed to such attacks, you need spiritual intervention and protection in Christ.

3. Chronic Stress and Anxiety

Overwhelming stress, fear, or anxiety that clouds your mind and creates distance from God may not just be emotional—it could be spiritual warfare. The enemy seeks to wear down the saints (Daniel 7:25), but prayer can break this oppression.

4. Guilt and Shame from the Past

Do past sins or painful memories still weigh heavily on you? Guilt and shame can become spiritual strongholds, preventing healing and freedom. Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18).

5. Spiritual Disconnection

If you’ve stopped praying, reading the Word, or seeking God, and feel spiritually dry or distant, this is not just a phase. It could be an open door the enemy is using to isolate and defeat you.

Emotional and Physical Signs of Spiritual Bondage

6. Addictions and Compulsive Behavior

Addictions—whether to drugs, alcohol, pornography, food, or anything else—can be rooted in demonic bondage. Deliverance prayer, coupled with repentance and inner healing, can break these chains.

7. Occult or Freemasonry Involvement

Have you or your family members participated in occult practices, astrology, Freemasonry, or other forbidden spiritual systems? These open doors to demonic influence and can lead to spiritual oppression, physical illnesses, or mental torment.

8. Negative Thought Patterns

Do you constantly battle feelings of hopelessness, worthlessness, or tormenting thoughts? These are often signs of mental strongholds that need to be torn down through spiritual warfare and truth from God’s Word.

9. Unexplained Physical Ailments

Some physical diseases or injuries may have a spiritual root. If doctors and medication are not offering relief, and the problem persists without cause, prayer for healing and deliverance may be necessary.

10. Emotional Trauma and Wounding

Were you neglected, abused, or deeply hurt in your childhood or marriage? Unresolved trauma can create emotional wounds that the enemy uses to keep you in bondage. Jesus came to heal the brokenhearted (Psalm 147:3).

11. No Relief from Medication or Therapy

If therapy or medication brings no relief to your emotional or mental struggles, it might be time to examine if the root is spiritual. Deliverance can bring lasting freedom when natural methods fall short.

There Is Hope and Healing

Deliverance ministry is not just about casting out demons—it’s about restoring your relationship with God, receiving emotional healing, and breaking the chains of bondage through Christ. Jesus came to set captives free and to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8).

If you're identifying with any of these signs, don't ignore the prompting of the Holy Spirit. Take the next step today.
