The Bible says, "When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty....." Matthew 12:43-44

Don't let the enemy gain reentry into your life. If he comes seeking rest, Put out your "NO VACANY" sign! Keep your house filled! Here are some practical steps to ensure you are filled with the spirit of the Lord when he comes.

In Luke 11:24-26 after deliverance, it says,*** 24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. 26 Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.

To maintain your deliverance, according to Luke 11:24-26 - the demonic comes back to check; a person must stay filled up with the Word of God and Worship. It is to keep the faith and not allow doubt and unbelief to enter into your heart. See seven steps to maintain deliverance.

Seven Steps to Maintain Deliverance

An overview of how to maintain your deliverance by teaching on deliverance.

1. Put on the Whole Armour of God

The Christian’s spiritual armor is outlined in Ephesians 6:10-18. There are seven pieces: (1) Loins girt about with truth, (2) The breastplate of righteousness, (3) Feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace, (4) The shield of faith, (5) The helmet of salvation, (6) The sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God, and (7) Praying in the spirit! Pay special attention to the helmet for guarding your thought life. Most demons seeking to re-enter assail the thoughts. Become watchful of any thoughts that could be considered negative; they are from the enemy. Separate their thoughts from your own. Refuse the thoughts they give you and replace them with positive thoughts. (See Phil 4:8) Resist the devil at the first sign of attack.

2. Make Positive Confessions

Negative confessions characterize demonic influence. Positive confessions are faith expressed. Any other confession will open the door for the enemy. (See Mark 11:23)

3. Stay in the Scripture

Jesus withstood Satan’s temptation by using scripture. The word is a mirror to the soul (James 1:22-25); it is a lamp unto the feet for guidance( Psalm 119:105); it is two-edge sword laying bare the heart (Heb 4:12); it is food for the spirit (1 Pet 2:2; Matt 4:4) No person can maintain deliverance apart from the Word of God as a primary factor in his life!

4. Crucify the Flesh

Take up your cross daily and follow Jesus. (Luke 9:23) Break old habit patterns. If fleshy appetites, desires, and lusts are not brought to the cross- a way for demons to return will be left open (Gal 5: 19-24)

5. Develop a Life of continuous Praise and Prayer life

Praise silences the enemy. Praise is not an attitude of heart; praise is the expression unto God of thankfulness, adoration, and joy by speaking, singing, shouting, dancing, leaping, playing musical entrustments, clapping the hands, etc. Pray in the spirit (in tongues) and also in the understanding. (1 Cor 14:14). “Pray without ceasing” (1 Thess 5:17)

6. Maintain a Life of Fellowship in a Local Church

It is the sheep that wanders from the most endangered flock. Find and fulfill your function within the body. (See 1 Cor 12:7-14) Keep yourself under authority

7. Commit yourself Totally to Christ - Surrender to Christ Daily

Determine that every thought, word, and action will reflect the very nature of Christ. Abide in Christ that the fruit of the Spirit might come forth in abundance. Demon spirits are enemies of the fruit of the spirit. Faith and trust in God is the greatest weapon against the devil and his lies. (See Eph. 6:16)

Note: Doing these seven things will ensure your “house” (life) is filled after being cleansed. No demonic attacks can return, much less bring any others in with him. (See Matthew 12:43-44) If one does trick you and regain entrance, see that he is cast out as soon as possible, either yourself or with the help of other believers. If other areas of demon activity are subsequently brought to light, seek deliverance. Jesus has made possible complete deliverance!

Daily Cleaning Prayer After Deliverance

It is essential to examine and cleanse yourself daily through the blood of Jesus to keep the doors closed since a curse causelessly cannot come. Examine yourself to ensure no unforgiveness towards anyone or self-bitterness by repenting if you self-accused, cursed yourself, or self-condemnation.

Children and teenagers bring things into your house. Or adults that go to garage sales, inherit old furniture, things given to you from friends or family that bring relics and idols from other countries dedicated to a foreign god. Below are demonic symptoms from cursed objects. 

• Pornography - of any kind (videos, magazines, books, internet, cable, satellite)
• Demonic music, Rock and Roll, and Subliminal music - operate on stimuli to awaken the energy center (in the brain) and to expand mental awareness, tapes or CDs of Indian/African drumming and/or chanting (rituals of channeling spirits) new age music or soaking music (music to go inward and open you up to the second heaven), TAPES, CD’S, OR EVEN INSTRUMENTS (i.e. rain sticks) WITH THE SOUNDS OF NATURE (used in false eastern meditation)
• Movies - Demonic movies aim to frighten, deceive, and familiarize children with hideous characters, to entice children to accept evil as good, etc.
• Fairy Tales and Walt Disney - Time Warner movies are full of cabalistic practices.
• Star Wars: The theme is based on a cosmic force taken from Zen Buddhism and Eastern religions.
• Movies containing horror, vampires, and werewolves. (*for important information about the vampire and the authentic evil sexual spirit behind its legend, see my document on ‘Lilith and vampirism’; and for important information on the were-wolf see my document on ‘Lycanthropy or mental shape-shifting’ – watching these movies is not entertaining but is spiritually dangerous*)
• Movies that promote time/mind travel – the equivalent to out of body [astral projection]; or the false belief that a person could have lived before in another time, which is the false belief of reincarnation. (Ecclesiastes 3:1-2:  To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.  A time to be born, and a time to die…; Hebrews 9:27:  And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.)
• Cartoons - Cartoons draw on Egyptology - Isis; mythology, witchcraft, occult, Smurfs, Dungeons " Dragons, Little People and Gremlins.
• Smurfs: (German word for demon) - Papa Smurf is a wizard who casts spells and mixes potions, often referring to Beelzebub (Satan) in the cartoons.
• AVATAR (a popular children’s cartoon. This is the name of a supreme god in Hindu philosophy/religion – in their religion, their false gods even have their own false god [avatar] who reigns over them)
• Video games - incite destruction and death.
• Board Games - These games open children to the influence of occult power, wizardry, violence, mind control, and witchcraft: Thundar-Barbarian, Pandemonium, Magic 8 Ball, Monster Mansion, Krull (occult with sorcerer), Herself the Elf, Gremlins, Dragon Master, Mythical Cards, Dungeon, Ouija, Dark Towers, Magical Crystals, Dragon Lords, Towers of Night, Forest of Doom, Fires of Shadarr, Star Wars and Yoda, Fantasy Card Game, Hell Pits of Night-Fang, Rune Quest, Chivalry, Sorcery, and Arduin-Grimoire.
• Demonic dolls/toys - Dolls originated in voodoo. The dictionary defines a doll as a small carved or molded figure serving as a cult object or representing a nursery story, cartoon, or puppet character.
• Cabbage Patch Dolls: Creates soul tie with child; mockery of life, death, and natural emotions.
• Gremlins: Violent, sadistic; use transformation (New Age concept), Cannibalism, and promotional schemes from the English word germane to vex.
• Ventriloquism Dolls and/or anything to do with ventriloquism or Patomomime The Hebrew word for ‘spirit(s)’ in Leviticus 19:31; Leviticus 20:6; Leviticus 20:27; Deuteronomy 18:11; I Samuel 28:7-8; II Kings 21:6; II Kings 23:24; I Chronicles 10:13; Isaiah 8:19; and Isaiah 19:3 is “owb, obe; …a mumble …skin (from its hollow sound); hence, a necromancer (ventriloquist, as speaking from a jar)… bottle… familiar spirit”.  Owb, obe is also the same Hebrew word for ‘spirit’ in Isaiah 29:4:  And thou shalt be brought down, and shalt speak out of the ground, and thy speech shall be low out of the dust, and thy voice shall be, as of one that hath a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and thy speech shall whisper out of the dust.  This scripture more accurately describes the voice of ventriloquism!  Also see Deuteronomy 18:10-11 and Isaiah 8:19.  (Important, see my documents on ‘ventriloquism’ and ‘pantomime’)
• Statues and pictures - stuffed animals, owls, frogs, unicorns, dragons, horseshoes; items from other countries such as Africa, China, and Japan; American Indian artifacts, carvings, pictures, and Buddha statues. The popular goose with the blue ribbon around its neck is an Egyptian god found on kitchen canisters, curtains, paper towels, plates, and baskets. Mexican sun gods; idols; Egyptian gods,
• Gargoyles (usually placed on the outer walls at Roman Catholic Cathedrals as some sort of protectors; Ezekiel 8:9-10:  And he said unto me, Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here.  So I went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, pourtrayed upon the wall round about.),
• Great Sphynx (bestiality),
• Snake statues and images - (In scripture, Satan is referred to as a serpent; he also used a serpent to beguile Eve – he can surely use an image/idol of one as a spiritual doorway into our home! II Corinthians 11:3; Revelation 12:9, 14-15; 20:2), Wolf Status - (popular image/power animal of the shaman; also see my document on ‘Lycanthropy or mental shape-shifting’)
• Pictures of Stonehenge (astrological monument)
• Pictures/images of any pyramids (including Mayan flat-topped pyramids because they were used for human, many times child, sacrifice)

• drugs,
• Drawings and art - (Under hallucinogenic stimulus- art produced while under the influence of drugs)
• Ouija boards or other occult paraphernalia, good luck charms
• Books and literature – demonic books, new age books, witchcraft books - false religions, cults, the occult and spiritualism, anything connected with astrology, horoscopes, fortune telling, etc.,
• Books conjuring up angels, visionary dreams, or lucid dreaming (Jeremiah 29:8:  For thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Let not your prophets and your diviners, that be in the midst of you, deceive you, neither hearken to your dreams which ye cause to be dreamed.  Jeremiah 23:25: Ecclesiastes 5:7:
• Jewelry – masonic ring, hex signs, ancient geometric and mystical motifs. Jewelry is designed to bring good luck and act as a talisman to chase evil. Egyptian ankh, broken cross (peace symbol), chais, Polynesian tikki's of gods, African jujus, Italian horn, protectors from the evil eye, hand with index and little fingers pointing up, clovers, stars, wishbones, lucky coins, mystic medals, horseshoes, religious fetishes and statues, crystal jewelry to bring healing and protection, mardi gras necklaces.‟Thou hast also taken thy fair jewels of my gold and of my silver, which I had given thee, and madest to thyself images of men, and didst commit whoredom with them, And tookest thy embroidered garments, and covered them: and thou hast set mine oil and mine incense before them,”(Ezek. 16:17,18).

• Incense – Most incense are sold in curio and novelty shops was manufactured by devotees of the Hare Krishna cult and is dedicated to this demon god of the Hindus and can cause much trouble.
• Masks - African or Mexican masks, shields, statues, etc. Mask, frequently with an elaborate costume, is a way of concealing and submerging your personality and identifying yourself with a spirit or other supernatural character in dance or drama.13 African jujus (shaped like snakes, hands, figures, and other things.
• American Indian items - Any items that are used in the worship of false gods and witchcraft, dreamcatchers, medicine shields, Hopa dolls, Kokopelli (in Hopi),
• Totem poles (are associated with ancestral spirits; also, totems usually depict the false animal spirit worshipped by the family as the clan’s spirit guide. Isaiah 44:19:  …shall I fall down to the stock of a tree?)
• Kachina dolls - Indian spirit lore; they symbolize false gods),
• Pictures or statues of warrior Indians (full headdress and/or peace pipe; each feather being symbolic of an achievement done while under the direction of a false spirit guide, and usually accompanied with meditation),
• Things dug up from any type of sacred grounds (especially sacred burial grounds) – you are putting a curse on you.
• Catholic idols, Statues and articles of images of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, saints, Rosary beads, metals dedicated to saints and holy people, and relics (pieces of bone or objects from dead saints). "In almost all countries then, we meet with something like prayer counters or rosary beads. ". . . including a sculpture of ancient Nineveh, mentioned by Layard, of two-winged females praying before a sacred tree, each holding a rosary. For centuries, among the Mohammedans, a bead string consisting of 33, 66, or 99 beads has been used for counting the names of Allah. Marco Polo, in the thirteenth century, was surprised to find the King of Malabar using a rosary of precious stones to count his prayers. St. Francis Xavier and his companion were equally astonished to see that rosaries were universally familiar to the Buddhists of Japan. Among the Phoenicians a circle of beads resembling a rosary was used to worship Astarte, the mother goddess, about 800 B. C.
• Aroma Therapy (a new-age product, the label will typically say for the mind, body, and spirit – aroma therapy is holistic healing: in holistic healing they try to treat not only the body but the person’s spirit, the problem is this physical/spiritual healing has nothing to do with God’s Holy Spirit; also see my document on ‘perfumed oil’) - Some blends are man’s ideas and can have powerful demons attached to them.
• Healing Modalities – anything to do with yoga Pilates, Auric Healing, Reiki, (Channeling energy, feng shui, reflexology, healing magnetism (includes magnetic bracelets, bands, insoles, back braces, mattresses, etc. – healing magnetism allegedly generates a life-force, within one's own Self)
• Vitamins – be careful why they are made. Some are prayed or shaken to bring in the demonic world – energy.
• Beverages named after nature (such as earth, wind, fire, rain, etc; or beverages that are for the mind, body, and spirit; this includes tea; always read labels)
• Bones or Taxidermy (All bones are to return to the ground; Genesis 2:19: And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.
• Bonsai Trees (ones that have been shaped as a false god at the time of purchase or that have a paper claiming they bring good fortune)
• Gazing Balls (usually found in yards, gardens, etc, all are new-age)
• Hawaiian Lei (those worn by hula dancers are generally dedicated to false gods; check Hawaiian culture)
• Angels (pictures and/or status) (this includes the male, female (which is actually Lilith), and the so-called baby angel, which is really Cupid; ask for my document on ‘Cupid’, and for my document on ‘angel statues and images’ and most important on ‘Lilith’; also in Acts 7:42-43 the Greek word for ‘host’ is “stratia, strat-ee’-ah; …the angels, the celestial luminaries”.)
• Pagan monuments (pictures or status) - (this includes the Statue of Liberty and the Washington monument or obelisk; see my documents on ‘Freemasonry’ or on ‘Paganism and the Statue of Liberty’ for more on America’s pagan monuments)
• Witchcraft Modalities - Tarah Cards, satanic bible
• Wind Chimes (in Chinese false religious philosophy, it is believed that some wind chimes ward off what they refer to as lousy chi [life energy]; wind chimes are tuned to ward off evil – but in reality draw evil spirits)
• New Age Modalities - YIN/YANG SYMBOL (a false spiritual symbol that is based on the balance of forces, or Taoism; also see my document on ‘martial arts’)

Jesus Came to Set the Captives free. Shouldn't We Do the Same?

A deliverance minister is a person God has specially prepared for this work: teaching, ministry, and biblical counseling. As Christians, we should all be setting the captives free. 

There are special situations where it takes more experience than the ordinary Christian would have to deal with someone coming out of witchcraft, deep into the cult, a new age where a person experiences demonic attacks, etc.

The work of the Gospel is supposed to be done as a team (1 Cor 3:5-15). Some ministers are experts at teaching, preaching, pastoring, administering, organizing, counseling, praying, etc.

It was a big part of Jesus' ministry. He brought deliverance to many people such as Matt 18:18-20 - bind, loose, and agree; Mark 16:15-20 - Go ye into all the world (the church), cast out demons; Luke 4:18-20 - preach deliverance to the captives - sets at liberty them that are bruised; Luke 7:21-23 - Minister to the "blind, lame, lepers, deaf, dead, and the poor;" Acts 8:5-7 Preaching the Word - unclean spirits came out - healing by deliverance.

If you are in bondage and cannot get free, you can try other things that could help you get free:

1. Repent for your sins, receive the Lord's forgiveness, and forgive yourself. Don't allow the enemy to condemn you when you have repented to the Lord.
2. Fasting is a great way to break bondages from the enemy. God's word says in Isaiah 58:6-7 “Is this not the fast which I chose, to loosen the bonds of wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke, and to let the oppressed go free, and break every yoke?"
3. Be in the Word every day. Start reading and memorizing the Word. The Word is like water that washes you clean. It also renews your mind

4. Watch your thoughts when tempted to sin. It takes seven steps to sin James 1:13-15

13 "Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death."

What causes a person to sin? Entertaining the thought that gets conceived. The trick is to stop the thought and cast it down by 2 Cor. 10:5. Change your thought. That leads us to Step 5.

5. Thanksgiving and Worship: Start remembering the good things the Lord has done for you. Give Him praise and thanksgiving. That will get your mind off the sin issue and refocus on the goodness of the Lord. Then, you will not want to sin.

One thing to remember is you may fall again. Dash to the Lord, repent, so when guilt, shame, or accusation comes your way, you can tell the enemy you are forgiven. Don't receive the guilt. Second, forgive yourself.

The entire bible is based on these three things: 1. Love God, 2. Love Others, 3. Love yourself. That means forgiving yourself.

If you are still in bondage, stuck, tormented, or broken, you may need some help and receive deliverance.

Whenever there is any breach in these three areas, a feeling of separation from God happens. The bible is all about love. We are His creation. I've seen too many people who cannot forgive themselves for their past sins. We must appropriate the Word of God of truth to break free from bondages of self-hatred.

CAN A CHRISTIAN HAVE A DEMON OR BE DEMON POSSESSED?

The question should be asked: what demon has you? What part or aspect of your life does the demon have a stronghold in your life? What area of your life can you not control?

Christ has paid the price to set us free, but many Christians are not free. They are bound by compulsions or problems such as fear, guilt, hurt, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, anger, lust, hate, sickness, or other emotional disorders. Yet, many Scriptures promise freedom, here are some:

The answer lies in taking Jesus seriously. The Christian church in many places, particularly in the western world, has not accepted the threefold task given to it by Jesus, that is to preach the gospel, heal the sick, and cast out demons (Matthew 10:7-8, Mark 6:13, Luke 9:1-2).

What are Demons?

• Demons are fallen angels. Satan (Lucifer) was cast out of heaven, and took a third of the angels with him (Ezekiel 28:14-18; II Peter 2:4; Jude 6; Revelation 12:4, 9).
• These "fallen angels" (Matthew 25:41; Revelation 12:7) are either bound, confined to the pit (or abyss; Revelation 9:1-11; Luke 8:31) or are abiding in the "heavenlies" and bothering man kind (Ephesians 3:10; 6:12). They seek to control individuals (Ephesians 2:1-2), political governments (Daniel 10:13, 20), and world perspective and events (John 12:31; Ephesians 6:11-12; II Thessalonians 2:8-10; Colossians 2:8). They always bring destruction in the end, for their goal is to oppose God and steal from, kill and destroy mankind (John 10:10).
• In fact, demonic spirits are in peace when they are in you (Luke 11:21) and not in peace when casting out demons out of you (Luke 11:24). Demonic spirits manifest their character in you. When out of you, they suffer and want back in you.

When removed, you have to fill yourself with the word of God, or they will go and bring seven more stronger than themselves (Luke 11:26).

If you suffer from some type of bondage or behavior that controls you, you might consider a deliverance ministry to remove the demonic strongholds (deliverance from demons) in your life.

Did you know 80 percent of all diseases have a spiritual root cause causing your sickness or disease? Diseases do not come from God but from the kingdom of darkness.

Most of the time, there is an open door for demons to get a hold of you, causing emotional, physical, and spiritual issues.

Spiritual Strongholds

What are Spiritual Strongholds?

First of all, we need to realize there is an enemy, "satan," and his effort is to capture the minds of men and women and their souls through spiritual strongholds. The mind is the strong tower of the soul.

Under the anointing of the Holy Spirit, the mind rules our hearts and emotions and directs our lives. Satan knows if he can get hold of the way we think, he can expand his rule into every other area of our life.

Prov. 23:7 "for as he thinketh in his heart, so is he."

Satan wants to control your thoughts in the conscious mind but also your motives and thoughts in our subconscious minds.

II Corinthians 10:3-5 "For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses/storngholds. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ."

What is a fortress/stronghold? It is a walled city with access to its water supply and plenty of storage space for food. The enemy attacks with warfare against fortresses. When trying to break into a fortress, the enemy will dig under walls, climb over walls, bust down the main door, or whatever to get entrance by hurling bounders against the walls and firebombs over the walls.

Paul uses this knowledge to describe the attack needed against the spiritual strongholds of the mind. We can destroy every stronghold because our weapons are eternal and invincible.

The enemy tries to break in with lying thoughts, negative thoughts from others, or feelings that have developed a life of their own within us. We were created in the image of God, but somehow we believe what others have said, what satan says, the accuser or ourselves believes the opposite of God, and that is what a stronghold is. It is a thought or belief that is not true about you, but you believe it.

An individual stronghold is more than a habit. It is a belief of fleshly control within us that uses habits to maintain control over us. Like for example, through belief or feeling, a habit of temper can develop to defend or cover up the insecurity or jealousy of wants, believing God does not want you to be blessed, or developing alcoholism to cover up the pain you are not loved. God's word says you are the apple of his eye.

These strongholds are the fortresses of thought, emotion, feeling, or negative belief about self or what God says about you.

The function of a stronghold is to put up smoke screens to keep things like sermons, teachings, and counseling from piercing our inner man with truths that could bring repentance and freedom.

A stronghold guards the untruths that bond us to self and the flesh. It keeps you from being able to renew the mind from seeing your own deceptions.

Strongholds give us tunnel vision, preventing us from seeing what common sense would tell us is wrong. It creates an inner captivity to deception and misery.

Again, the central core of strongholds are lies the enemy wants you to believe in, getting you to believe they are true about you.

God does not want your past to hold you back! God has made a way out, a way to unpack your bags of grief, pain, unforgiveness, guilt, shame, or even old patterns of relating.

This is a matter between you and God. I personally would not go to a chiropractor, and I did regularly in the past before my deliverance and healing. I believe, and we teach, that chiropractic's origins come from spiritualism and psychic healing. D. Palmer is the father of chiropractic, and he was a spiritist, etc. All schools of chiropractic are born out of psychic healing. I acknowledge that there are some wonderful Christian chiropractors out there, and we love them. But I am still not in agreement with their profession. I believe that going to a chiropractor opens up the door to the occult and the door to a spirit of pain. But you have to be persuaded in your own heart. Ask God to give you discernment in this area.

Prayer of Renunciation of the Mormon Church

The Mormon Church is not of God - It is to renounce its involvement

Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus Christ, your Son. I admit that I was involved in false teachings in the Mormon Church and ask for your forgiveness. Thank you for your blood that cleanses and sanctifies me. Thank you for your word, which is the truth, and that the truth sets me free.

I renounce my faith in the Book of Mormon, compiled by Joseph Smith, based on a meeting with the angel Moroni. I admit that I have sinned by adding this book to the word of God. I renounce my belief that this Book of Mormon is the verification and witness of the Bible, and I sever myself from all of Joseph Smith’s false teachings. I renounce the two prince spirits that rule over the Mormon Church, namely Moroni and Manasseh. I cut myself loose from these two spirits in the name of Jesus.


• I renounce the teaching that the godhead is three separate units.

• I renounce the teaching that God has a body of flesh and is thus limited to one place at a specific time.


• I renounce the teaching that Jesus is the firstborn of God’s children and that His position as God is attributed only to His obedience.

• I renounce the teaching that Jesus’ work of reconciliation is not for the salvation of souls but to save earth from death.

• I renounce the teaching that Jesus died only for Adam’s sin.

• I renounce the teaching that our sins can only be washed away through baptism.

• I renounce the teaching that The Holy Spirit is limited to one place at a specific time.

• I renounce the teaching that the Holy Spirit is the purest and most refined of all substances, a godly liquid.

• I renounce the teaching that every person is a god over his spiritual subordinates.

I confess that God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit are one, although they function as separate personalities. I confess that the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin. His sacrifice was perfect and complete! I renounce the teaching that the fall of man has no effect on mankind and that every person will pay only for his own sin.

I renounce the teaching that the fall of man brought eternal joy and happiness. I admit that according to the work of God, we are conceived and born in sin and that without repentance, the wages of sin is death.

I renounced the Book of Mormon as false scripture, and I abandoned my belief that this book is the verification and witness of the Bible. Father, your word declares in Rev. 22:18-19 that cursed is the person who adds to, takes away from, or cancels your word. I now ask your forgiveness for these practices and ask you to release me from the following curses:

• That you will lay upon me the plagues, afflictions, and calamities recorded in the book of Revelation

• That You will cancel and take away from me my share in the tree of life

• That You will cancel and take away from me eternal life in the city of holiness.

Thank you for setting me free and breaking these curses over my life. I sever myself from all of Joseph Smith’s false teachings. I declare that I have eternal life through the Lord Jesus Christ and can partake of the Tree of Life.

Furthermore, I renounce my baptismal covenants and all priesthood blessings I received. As a former temple Mormon, I reject all temple oaths and covenants that I have made. I also renounce the temple marriages as a sin. I renounce my patriarchal blessings as the sin of mediumship.

Using the sword of the Spirit, I now cut myself off from the strongmen:

• Mormo, God of the ghouls and the dead
• The spirit of Moroni
• The spirit of priestcraft
• The spirit of bishopric
• The religious spirit
• The false prophet in the heavenly
• The perverse spirit
• The spirit of error
• The spirit of confusion
• The spirit of whoredoms
• Spirits of lies and deception
• The seducing spirit
• All doctrines of demons
• The spirit of divination
• The beguiling spirits
• The spirit of mind control and occult mind control
• The spirit of the false Christs and the anti-Christ
• All familiar spirits


In the mighty and all-conquering name of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth! Amen!

I renounce the teaching that through baptism, I receive eternal life.

I renounce the lie that the living may be baptized on behalf of the dead. I confess that baptism by submission is a step of obedience, not a requirement for salvation.

I renounce the teaching that there is the highest heaven where the most exemplary believers shall live and reign over the other believers in the same relationship God the Father has with us.

I renounce believing that there is a second heaven where backslidden believers, those who did not accept God and those who did not abide by the law, shall live. I renounce believing that there is a place (perdition) prepared only for Satan, His fallen angels, and those who committed unforgivable sins.

I confess that there is a hell where Satan, His fallen angels, and those who did not accept Jesus Christ will stay for eternity.

I confess there is a heaven where the saved souls shall live until God has created the new earth and New Jerusalem.

I renounce the principles of bigamy and polygamy and the implication that the number of wives is an indication of the level of spirituality. (The more wives, the greater his reward in paradise!)

I renounce the teaching that no woman can obtain heavenly splendor without her husband. Likewise, a man can obtain it with at least one wife.

I renounce the two principal councils that form the church, namely Aaron’s priesthood and the order of Melchizedek. I acknowledge that God’s word teaches that every believer is a priest, a prophet, and a king.

I renounce the sin of priestcraft. (Males only)

I sever myself from the Mormon Church in the name of Jesus. Thank you, Lord. I am redeemed by the blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony! (Rev. 12:11). I confess that I have been involved in false teachings and ask forgiveness for worshipping demon spirits.

I further renounce every teaching of the church of the Latter-Day Saints because it is a false religion.

I renounce Joseph Smith as a false prophet.
