FAMILIAR SPIRITS

Sorcerers or necormancers, who professed to call up the dead to answer questions, were said to have a "familiar spirit" (Deut. 18:11; 2 Kings 21:6; 2 Chr. 33:6; Lev. 19:31; 20:6; Isa. 8:19; 29:4). Such a person was called by the Hebrews an _'ob_, which properly means a leathern bottle; for sorcerers were regarded as vessels containing the inspiring demon. This Hebrew word was equivalent to the pytho of the Greeks and was used to denote both the person and the spirit which possessed him (Lev. 20:27; 1 Sam. 28:8; comp. Acts 16:16). The word "familiar" is from the Latin familiaris, meaning a "household servant," and was intended to express the idea that sorcerers had spirits as their servants ready to obey their commands.

Plagued by Incubus and Succubus Spirits at Night

The definitions came from Webster's Dictionary.

INCUBI - Demonic sexual attack on females; may be caused by sexual sins, witchcraft spells, curses of lust, inherited curses, can attack children

SUCCUBI - demonic sexual attacks on males, may be caused by the same as Incubi above

Those attacking females are called incubus and those concentrating on males are called the succubus. These are vicious sexual spirits which can molest and torment susceptible individuals. Most attacks are at night and the person its awakened by fondling hands, caressing hot lips and tongue, and other forms of lust inducing stimulation. Every kind of abnormal and deviate sexual experience can be generated by these evil spirits which are unclean spirits.

These demons cruelly torment their victims to satisfy their filthy cravings. Some people have told us that they get to the point they are afraid to go to sleep at night. Their days are filled with shame and they feel everyone knows what they do. They have no hope of escape. Many consider suicide and a good number carry it out. Some of these demons have been loosed on these helpless people by curses from their ancestors, and some by their own sins.

What opens the doors to these spirits:

Masturbation would open the door;

Sexual abuse would open the door;

Even with small children who masturbate, there most often is sexual sin or victimization somewhere in the generations, etc. Ask the Lord to show you the open door - many times the door is open to masturbation when the house is out of order.

Pornography can open the door either in magazines or internet;

If you have watched movies that are trashy - full of sex, then that can open the door to these vicious evil spirits which can make you feel unclean.

Once you know what the open door is in your life to bring in sexual spirits or we could say unclean spirits that are causing this, then repent and renounce for yourself, for your generations on both sides of your family back 4 generations back. Cast out the unclean spirits, spirits of shame and guilt (tell the spirits they have no legal right because you have repented for them) that have come in through you or through your generations.

If you have been a victim of sexual abuse, then forgive the people that violated you, forgive yourself for participating even if you are innocent. It closes the door on accusation from the enemy on you. Also, make sure you are not mad at god for this happening.

If this does not help, then definately seek the Lord for more answers.

Prov. 26:2 a curse causeless cannot come. That means if all doors are shut, then it has no legal right to you. If you have or your generations have opened the door and they have not repented for their sins, then it has legal right to bring torment. When renounced in your generations (generational curses), it should close the doors and breaking curses.

We think it is innocent when a child has imaginary playmates, but it is not. Children before age 7 are very open and can see things we cannot see. If you have a child that has an imaginary playmate, I want to tell you it is a spirit guide in their life who becomes a companion and a teacher of the child. That parent needs to break the familiar spirit plaguing your child.



What begins in the child's imagination as a technique to offset loneliness evolves into a relationship with a familiar spirit. In some cases, this imaginary friend first appeared during a time of stress or trauma. In some cases, for children who habitually talked to a doll or stuffed animal, the doll or teddy bear suddenly began talking back!



Today's children's TV shows, Fairy Tales, and Walt Disney - Time Warner movies are full of cabalistic practices, such as The Chronicles of Narina: the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and Time Warner's - Harry Potter Movies - The Lord of the Rings. These movies and books help the children to accept the menacing demons as their friends. They no longer have fear if these devils appear to them in their rooms. They become their imaginary friends. In actuality, they are malignant evil spirits sent to rob, kill, and destroy the children.



As part of the deliverance under the occult, we cast out imaginary playmates that we had as children. We believe them to be evil spirits/spirit guides. To be set free, the boy or girl first had to fall out of agreement with the familiar spirit and command him to go. It is good for all of us to repent if we have ever entertained these evil spirits. And cast them out!

Can a Christian Have A Demon

The question should be asked: what demon has you? What part or aspect of your life does the demon have a stronghold in your life? What area of your life can you not control?

Christ has paid the price to set us free, but many Christians are not free. They are bound by compulsions or problems such as fear, guilt, hurt, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, anger, lust, hate, sickness, or other emotional disorders. Yet, many Scriptures promise freedom, here are some:

• 'So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed' (John 8:36)
• 'For freedom, Christ has set us free' (Galatians 5:1)
• 'Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom' (2 Corinthians 3:17)

The answer lies in taking Jesus seriously. The Christian church in many places, particularly in the western world, has not accepted the threefold task given to it by Jesus, that is to preach the gospel, heal the sick, and cast out demons (Matthew 10:7-8, Mark 6:13, Luke 9:1-2).

What are Demons?

• Demons are fallen angels. Satan (Lucifer) was cast out of heaven, and took a third of the angels with him (Ezekiel 28:14-18; II Peter 2:4; Jude 6; Revelation 12:4, 9).
• These "fallen angels" (Matthew 25:41; Revelation 12:7) are either bound, confined to the pit (or abyss; Revelation 9:1-11; Luke 8:31) or are abiding in the "heavenlies" and bothering man kind (Ephesians 3:10; 6:12). They seek to control individuals (Ephesians 2:1-2), political governments (Daniel 10:13, 20), and world perspective and events (John 12:31; Ephesians 6:11-12; II Thessalonians 2:8-10; Colossians 2:8). They always bring destruction in the end, for their goal is to oppose God and steal from, kill and destroy mankind (John 10:10).
• In fact, demonic spirits are in peace when they are in you (Luke 11:21) and not in peace when casting out demons out of you (Luke 11:24). Demonic spirits manifest their character in you. When out of you, they suffer and want back in you.

When removed, you have to fill yourself with the word of God, or they will go and bring seven more stronger than themselves (Luke 11:26).

If you suffer from some type of bondage or behavior that controls you, you might consider a deliverance ministry to remove the demonic strongholds (deliverance from demons) in your life.

Spiritual Strongholds

What are Spiritual Strongholds?

First of all, we need to realize there is an enemy, "satan," and his effort is to capture the minds of men and women and their souls through spiritual strongholds. The mind is the strong tower of the soul.

Under the anointing of the Holy Spirit, the mind rules our hearts and emotions and directs our lives. Satan knows if he can get hold of the way we think, he can expand his rule into every other area of our life.

Prov. 23:7 "for as he thinketh in his heart, so is he."

Satan wants to control your thoughts in the conscious mind but also your motives and thoughts in our subconscious minds.

II Corinthians 10:3-5 "For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses/storngholds. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ."

What is a fortress/stronghold? It is a walled city with access to its water supply and plenty of storage space for food. The enemy attacks with warfare against fortresses. When trying to break into a fortress, the enemy will dig under walls, climb over walls, bust down the main door, or whatever to get entrance by hurling bounders against the walls and firebombs over the walls.

Paul uses this knowledge to describe the attack needed against the spiritual strongholds of the mind. We can destroy every stronghold because our weapons are eternal and invincible.

The enemy tries to break in with lying thoughts, negative thoughts from others, or feelings that have developed a life of their own within us. We were created in the image of God, but somehow we believe what others have said, what satan says, the accuser or ourselves believes the opposite of God, and that is what a stronghold is. It is a thought or belief that is not true about you, but you believe it.

An individual stronghold is more than a habit. It is a belief of fleshly control within us that uses habits to maintain control over us. Like for example, through belief or feeling, a habit of temper can develop to defend or cover up the insecurity or jealousy of wants, believing God does not want you to be blessed, or developing alcoholism to cover up the pain you are not loved. God's word says you are the apple of his eye.

These strongholds are the fortresses of thought, emotion, feeling, or negative belief about self or what God says about you.

The function of a stronghold is to put up smoke screens to keep things like sermons, teachings, and counseling from piercing our inner man with truths that could bring repentance and freedom.

A stronghold guards the untruths that bond us to self and the flesh. It keeps you from being able to renew the mind from seeing your own deceptions.

Strongholds give us tunnel vision, preventing us from seeing what common sense would tell us is wrong. It creates an inner captivity to deception and misery.

Again, the central core of strongholds are lies the enemy wants you to believe in, getting you to believe they are true about you.

God does not want your past to hold you back! God has made a way out, a way to unpack your bags of grief, pain, unforgiveness, guilt, shame, or even old patterns of relating.

Should Christians Participate in Yoga?

Yoga originated from which country?

To answer the question above about how Christians Participate in Yoga, the answer is No.

Again, there are significant differences between Christian meditation and that taught in Yoga. Christians meditate on the word of God rather than trying to blank out the mind. Psalms 119:99 states, "I have more understanding than all my teachers; for thy (the Messiah's) testimonies are my meditations." Psalms 104:34 says. "My meditation on Him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the Lord." Thus, we can clearly see the Scriptures teach us to use our time of meditation on God and not blank or open our minds to the demons.

Yoga's primary promise is to calm your mind through meditation. The difference between yoga meditation and the type God commands in Scripture is twofold: the object of our meditation and the result. Yogi philosophers urge followers to empty their minds. This empty mind, they claim, is the doorway to communion with the Universal Soul. But cult expert Bob Larson warns that yoga mediators "should not be deceived into thinking they have communed with the Lord." Instead, they have "left [their] mind open to an evil invasion by the spirit associated with the particular discipline employed."

Those involved in astral projection experiences should be instructed and told about the dangers of astral projection with the help of astral projection demons. These people have yielded their bodies to Satan's use. This ability is not from God, no matter how pleasant the experience. On the back of their heads, where the top of the spine and the base of the skull meet, is where the astral projected body or soul body leaves the physical body.

There is no way a person's soul can leave a body except through death.  This is the trickery of the demonic realm.  They can make you believe in anything, especially when you prepare by doing an altered state of consciousness or mind-blacking exercises to get in touch, but you are, in reality, getting in touch with spirit guides, which are demonic spirits.

In the long run, you have demonic spirits or spirit guides that control you.  A person who opens themselves up to the demonic realm only asks for problems in the long run.  You can have torment, not being able to sleep, body sensations, anxiety, etc.  If this is the case, you are in need of deliverance. Astral projection benefits are none. 

Renunciation for Astral Projection

Father God, forgive me for allowing my body to astral travel. I repent and renounce all spirit guides and demonic spirits bound to me. I Bind all spirits that came in to help this person or give them the power to accomplish soul travel. Command these spirits to leave in Jesus' name. I COMMAND that opening sealed, never to be opened again, in Jesus' name.

PLEASE NOTE!!!: Astral projection is a conscious use of soul power empowered by forces of darkness. Out-of-body experiences due to trauma, accidents, or near-death experiences are not occult practices. Out-of-body experiences caused by trauma are usually not under the person's control.

Leaving the body in trauma is called dissociation. This is caused by severe stress or trauma. Dissociation occurs when a child or person is being hurt, and the pain is too great to bear. They believe they are going to die. This is a stress-coping mechanism. Most abuse survivors are unaware of how they leave their bodies. Counselor's notes on divination
Those who have been involved in divination or fortune-telling or have the ability to see into the spirit realm any time they choose have a spirit of divination. They have opened the occult "third eye." The "third eye" is a supernatural eye between the natural eyes on the forehead. This is how fortune tellers, astrologers, witches, and mediums get supernatural knowledge and can see the future. The occult "third eye," used to look into the paranormal realm, operates by demonic powers. If there is something God wants to show a person, then He will reveal it to them. In this case, it will be at His direction and under His control for a specific time or task. The ability to see into the supernatural realm has to be under God's control and direction because Satan will seduce mortals into the sinful use of this power. God does not want us to have anything to do with occult or psychic power. See Deuteronomy 18:10-13. Explain to the person that the source of this power is from the devil and not God. As you can see from Deuteronomy, God is not pleased with those who practice this. See also Exodus 20:3-4.

People who can see into the supernatural realm may resist giving up this ability. They must give up this ability to be free and have peace with God. The person has to renounce this practice and repent. It is always their choice. If they resist or argue about giving up this practice, they are not ready for ministry, so stop until they can. This is a rebellious spirit, not the humble spirit of someone who is genuinely sorry for dabbling in the occult. Explain to them the results of making this decision with gentleness and love, always ready to help them when they are ready. Sometimes, teaching is necessary. Have them read God's Word and pray about this matter. God promised to deliver us from our enemies, not our friends.

Armstrong's Worldwide Church of God, Philadelphia Church of God, Intercontinental Church of God, Living Church of God [name any other Armstrong group you were in], the New Age and its practices or any religion or organization of an occult nature.

I renounce ever reading books about the black arts, parapsychology, magic, or satanic rituals, including the Sixth and Seventh Books of Moses, the Satanic Bible, books on false religions, books written by Herbert W. Armstrong, Gerald Flurry (mention any other leader of Armstrong splinter you were involved with that has claimed special revelation from God) and other satanic books and writings.

I renounce all sins of divination, including palm reading, fortune telling, tarot card reading, tea leaf reading, the crystal ball or crystal gazing, candle gazing, Ouija Board, ESP, telepathy, horoscopes, automatic handwriting or spirit writing, astrology, water divining, the rod, and pendulum.

Prayer of Cleansing for Participating in the Occult

Dear Heavenly Father, I confess all occult sins of seeking from Satan the help that should come only from You.

I repent of all these sins of occultism, idolatry, and any oath I may have made to any false gods and ask to be forgiven.

I repent for seeking aid, knowledge, power, or comfort from the kingdom of darkness.

I repent and renounce those occult sins and idolatry that I cannot remember. I close all doors or openings in my life to all occult and psychic practices and spirits of darkness.

I ask You, Heavenly Father, to seal them with the precious shed Blood of Jesus Christ, never to be opened again. In Jesus' name. Amen.

CRYSTALS IS DIVINATION

Are Crystals Against Christianity today? The New Age belief is that crystals attract negative energy from the wearer or channel good energy to them. The crystals are used to collect the negative energy that either they give off, or someone gives to them. It absorbs this energy, transferring it from the person, and this negative energy then needs to be cleansed in salt water.

Crystals also are believed to help channel the power in the air to the wearer. It is placed on energy points (chakras). They meditate with it, which helps channel the power to the wearer. Medical Practices of many ancient cultures included wearing talismans and amulets around the neck. Specific stones were worn to bring healing for the ailment.

Crystals have become a billion-dollar industry. Crystals can be used in natural settings, but once we utilize them for spiritual means (such as healing), it is a New Age practice. Crystals usually sell for $5 to $20, and some for up to $10,000 or more. Many different types of stones are used in the occult for healing and transformation. Stones have a history of being powerful objects in the hands of wizards, witches, shamans, and others who practice the mystic arts.
Crystal work is a bridge to both ancient and modern shamanism. This was part of the medical treatment in pagan religions. In native American healing, the shamans will utilize stones as a method of diagnosis and treatment; the crystal is believed to be a vehicle through which the healing nature spirits work.

In occult history, much is written of legendary civilizations with advanced sciences that used crystal power for many physical and practical purposes, as well as healing. The Pyramid in Egypt was supposedly once capped with a giant crystal on top to assist in utilizing cosmic forces. It is taught that the legendary continent of Atlantis was destroyed because sacred knowledge was abused and the power was misused. Before Atlantis was damaged, the wise, uncorrupted ones had preserved the knowledge the higher race had achieved. They wanted to avoid risking transcribing this knowledge into books and risk they're being lost by the earth's cataclysmic changes. So they programmed certain crystals with the information and rematerialized them into the earth.

The power of talisman in precious stones is associated historically with astrology: "The influence over human fortunes ascribed by astrology to the heavenly bodies is conceived to be strengthened by wearing the gem appropriate to certain planets or signs, for a subtle emanation has passed into the stone and radiates from it" (85:339 Can you trust your Doctor by John Ankerberg and John Weldon).

There have been religious superstitions in history. Kings in ancient India were advised to collect the best gems to protect themselves from harm. (We see this portrayed still in the movies or comics where men search for stones of power and influence) Ancient works on astrology, written in Sanskrit ( 400 B.C.), describe the Power of stones. In those days, astrologers advised people struck with misfortune to wear different kinds of rocks to counteract the negative effects of the planets.

For example, in Astrological trinities ...Green rose and quartz have the astrological sign of Taurus and develop love. Amethyst is related to Pisces, and the third eye helps surrender one's mind to one's higher self. The color Black in Obsidian is associated with the sign Scorpio and the planet Pluto; it awakens dormant, unmanifested potential.

As with all of the occult systems, they are interconnected to the Zodiac and have hidden powers for healing the body, emotions, and spirit.

Crystals also help identify those in the NAM, although not everyone who wears a crystal is doing so for this reason. Many point to the Bible for its validity. The breastplate of the priest's garment was filled with precious stones. It is recorded in Exodus in the Bible that a breastplate made of twelve precious jewels (Urim and Thummim?) combined specifically together in four rows of three and worn over the heart would endow Aaron with knowing the will of God.

Interestingly, Satan had crystals, too, being a priest of the angels. Ezek. 28:14 "You were the anointed cherub who covers Ezek. 28:13 "You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering: the sardius, topaz, diamond, Beryl, onyx, and jasper, sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes was prepared for you on the day you were created.

Ezek. 1:22: "The likeness of the firmament above the heads of the living creatures was like the color of an awesome crystal, stretched out over their heads."

In the Bible, Heaven's sea is like a crystal. Rev. 4:6: "Before the throne, there was a sea of glass, like crystal. And amid the throne, and around the throne, were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back. "

Rev. 21:11 "having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal."

Rev. 22:1 "and he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb."

New age crystal healing is a minor variation upon ancient occultic themes from different cultures. Throughout history, these items have been associated with the spirit world, and because of this, they are believed to possess magical abilities. This is why metaphysical traditions from East to West use these magical stones to assist in their occult work.

Here are only a few examples from the book Crystal Enlightenment: Selenite "white is the color vibration associated with the crown chakra (the occult system of energy centers in the body)...is an important contributing member of the mineral kingdom and can be used as a touchstone for mental clarity and for developing telepathic Powers, as well as appreciated for its inherent beauty" (Crystal Enlightenment by Katrina Raphaell p.151).

Sodalite is one of the awakeners of the third eye, which prepares the mind to receive the inner sight and intuitive knowledge...This is an excellent stone to carry, hold, meditate with, or place upon the third eye area to gain an intellectual understanding of one's self or a situation. (Crystal Enlightenment by Katrina Raphaell p.153

What needs to be answered is: what is the natural source of power behind New Age crystal healing and crystal work? If one were to ask those who used it in the past, it would be the exact source of power today, the spirit world. Most crystal healers believe that the crystals contain magical powers; the truth is that the crystals have no power and are merely vehicles through which spirits may choose to work to enhance spirit contact. At best, this is all superstition. At worst, it can be an open door to the spirit realm, which we are forbidden to seek and not equipped to traffick in.
