How To Walk In A Fallen World!!!

How To Walk In A Fallen World!!! - Walk out and/or keep your healing!

We are ALL walking out SANTIFICATION until Christ comes for His bride!

My Process to Healing! I had to learn that Disease comes when we are separated from God, from ourselves, and from others. My healing started when I reconciled with God and received His love, reconciling with Him as my Father and making peace with Him. I also had to reconcile with myself and with others to complete the healing process, forgive my debts, and love who I truly am! Plus, continually forgive when others hurt you again!

The heart is made to love, nothing else. When we forgive, we are loving. Love is forgiveness. Jesus showed us the ultimate love of dying on the cross for us, and did it to bring us forgiveness. The first part of Matthew 22:38-40 was described when I spoke of Love of God. As we read on in Matthew 22:38-40, it says, "..and the second one is like unto it, we are to love others as we love ourselves."
Simply put, as we get to "know" God and how much He loves us and is able to receive that love for us personally, we are to do the same with others and not believe the lies we believe! Those lies also separate us from God's love. I know I believed some of those lies, which separated me.

Receive God's love more and more, and the hidden impurities surfaced. My sins were, and still are, being exposed so I can confess them. When I confessed them, God purged me and it brought me even closer to Him. That's the good news!

We get stuck on loving ourselves! We don't even want to make friends because we know ourselves all too well, all the hidden junk, all the past mistakes, etc., for fear they'll find all this stuff out. The truth is, God, already knows it anyway.

We get mad at ourselves when we make a mistake (sin). I know I did. I used to beat myself up literally. I was a rage alcoholic against myself. We think we must "pay" for them somehow, stay miserable for a few days, etc. But, if we truly believe in forgiveness, we would take it the minute we sinned, thereby staying free FROM sin, as Jesus promised. It's not that there won't be sin any longer; it's that we don't take it when it comes!

The Sanctification Process - don't be tricked by the enemy:

* To come clean or identify unforgiveness, if you have not done this already, list when you got hurt, experienced trauma or rejection, and see if a person, God, or self is attached to that event you need to forgive. Go back to your earliest memory and work forward. Did you know unforgiveness binds you to that person and also binds you to emotional pain? Every emotional pain in your life is a result of unforgiveness. When you can genuinely forgive a person, your heart will healed -- no more pain around that memory. Forgiveness of sins and healing diseases work together! Are you a stuffer - stuffing your emotions? Many people suppress their feelings and don't deal with their pain. A stuffer denies specific strong needs and represses a lot of feelings – shut down. Eventually, what they stuffed comes out in sickness, disease, or mental torment. Learn when someone hurts you to not stuff it or go in denial. Recognize your hurt and ask God to help you forgive instead of stuffing. "Stuffing is bad to your health." Do you replay past events in your head or tell the same story over and over what someone else, church, or job did to you, and you cannot stop thinking or stop talking about it? Guess what! That is Unforgiveness! Pay attention to what you are thinking or talking about!

* Then 1 John 1:9 - confess these sins to God, and then RECEIVE forgiveness. Simply confessing is good, but it's complete when we RECEIVE forgiveness. If you have a hard time receiving, that's OK, it will come as you continue your love quest with God.

* Do you have expectations of others to meet your needs as a parent would? Are you still performing? Are you hoping they will say words that you NEED? Are you in a cycle of being abused, expecting things to be different? REMEMBER: Doing the same thing but expecting different results is the definition of INSANITY. Are you disappointed, hurt, and crushed every time it does not happen AGAIN? Guess what, they won't, and it won't change. Satan is setting you up for disappointments heaped with more hurt and pain. Let go of the expectations of others.

EXPECTATIONS are really judgment/bitterness. Only the Lord can meet your needs. When we expect someone to act like a parent or special someone, we make them an idol. My healing came faster when I released the people I had expectations of. I was flooded with freedom from my heart. Plus, they changed!

* Hurting people hurts people. We live in a world full of hurting people. Expect to get hurt by others but not broken. How do I stay intact? The faster you separate them (Romans 7 Separation Teaching - it's not them but the sin in them), forgive them (a friend told me, "forgive before the crow gets cold"), then you won't be broken.

Jeremiah 5:25 says that we withhold good things from us. When we don't forgive, we block all blessings! Isaiah 59:1-2 says, God can heal us, but our sins and iniquities prevent Him. He cannot move against our will. Our sins and iniquities are unforgiveness and not receiving God's love.

* Are you being driven to meet everyone else's expectations? - "Fear of man", "fear of rejection", fear of failure", fear of abandonment", etc. Stop if you are! God leads, and satan drives. If satan is driving you, then get out of the driver's seat and allow the Lord to lead you. Being led is much more peaceful than being driven by fear.

"1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. 2 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. 3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. 4 But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. 5 For every man shall bear his own burden."

* Do you get all caught up helping others (advising others when they didn't ask) and not taking care of self? False Burden Bearing is rooted in rejection! The enemy is tricky and will use your feelings of rejection to try to get you to help others (to steal your peace) so that you will feel accepted, but in reality, satan is stealing your peace and keeping you in "turmoil." It is meeting a need in you to help others. Let go and let God! Let Him be in control! Yes, pray for them, but release them to the Lord standing in faith, saying, "It is done." This is activating your faith by standing!

You do want to come alongside them! We are to support them during their trials. You are not there to solve their solutions. You want to avoid becoming consumed with their thoughts about the situation and person (children, parents, or someone they care about).

* Watch your thought life and don’t dwell in the negative. Keep our thoughts captive under truth, casting down all imaginations that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God. (II Corinthians 10:5).

If you believe the negative lies of Satan or others, it can cause you to pursue perfection, performance, drive, pull away, and engage in self-comparison, ultimately causing you to lose your peace and separate you from the Love of the Lord! Resist him because thoughts can lead to sin! "Submit yourselves to God, resist the Devil, and He will flee." This means submitting your mind, body, and soul to the Lord.

* Know God's Love Is Unconditional! There is nothing you can do to receive more of His LOVE, and there is no sin so large to lose His LOVE. The only difference between the lost and the saved is we have the promises. He loves the lost just as much as the saved. Sin separates us, but God is always there with His arms wide open to receive you back through His mercy. You do not need to perform to receive more of His LOVE. It's already done! The Scripture clearly teaches that God's love (phileo, agape, aheb, ahabah, etc.) is unfailing, undeserved, and unilateral (completely one-sided in initiation). But is God's love without condition--I.E.: UN- conditional? Come into His Rest!!!

*
Watch what comes out of your mouth! Is It a Good Report or a Bad report?

(Philippians 4:8) "Finally brethren, Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, if there be any praise, think on these things. AND those things which ye have both learned, received, heard, and seen in me, do, and the God of peace shall be with you."

When you have symptoms, don't receive them or become one with them.

Conclusion:

Don't be tricked by the enemy, but be wise (Hebrews 5:14) and discern good and evil. Recognize the accuser, cast those thoughts down, and don't receive them, even if they come from a person. Know who you are to the Lord. You are precious in His sight!

I leave you with this scripture: 1 Thessalonians 5:23 "And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ."

RECOGNIZING trauma and closing doorpoints

Closing doorpoints from trauma where the demonic came in:

Closing doorpoints

First Sunday of Each Month at 8:30 p.m. central standard time, Healing Miracle Service on Facebook Live through Touch of God International Ministries, Healing and Deliverance.

Doorpoint: A place where the enemy has had access
to you. It is a "safe" place that the enemy has found
in yoru life and it can be generational; can start at conception.
For example, if you came about because of a rape, then it started

Begin with prayer. Seek His guidance in remembering. The included
trauma lists may help below:. Write on a sheet a paper on one side
your traumas He brings to your remembrance (don't spend time thinking
about it). Also list your reactions to these incidences. For example:
Far, anger, hatred, self-hatred, feelings of abaondonment, self-rejection,
etc.

Then use the trauma prayer below to allow God to remove the effects
of that trauma from your life and to heal the damage that it has
done in your heart. Remember, I will be teaching on trauma and then
ministering trauma.

Familiar Spirits

FAMILIAR SPIRITS

Sorcerers or necormancers, who professed to call up the dead to answer questions, were said to have a "familiar spirit" (Deut. 18:11; 2 Kings 21:6; 2 Chr. 33:6; Lev. 19:31; 20:6; Isa. 8:19; 29:4). Such a person was called by the Hebrews an _'ob_, which properly means a leathern bottle; for sorcerers were regarded as vessels containing the inspiring demon. This Hebrew word was equivalent to the pytho of the Greeks and was used to denote both the person and the spirit which possessed him (Lev. 20:27; 1 Sam. 28:8; comp. Acts 16:16). The word "familiar" is from the Latin familiaris, meaning a "household servant," and was intended to express the idea that sorcerers had spirits as their servants ready to obey their commands.

Taking the Spoils II Chronicles 14:1-15 (specific focus 13-15)

Taking the Spoils

II Chronicles 14:1-15 (specific focus 13-15)

note: this is not complete and is in draft form

"So Abijah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David: and Asa his son reigned in his stead. In his days the land was quiet ten years" (II Chronicles 14:1). God gave Asa ten years of peace from outside invasion.

"And Asa did that which was good and right in the eyes of the LORD his God:" (II Chronicles 14:2). When Asa became the king of Judah, he did what was right in the eyes of God. "For he took away the altars of the strange gods, and the high places, and break down the images, and cut down the groves" (II Chronicles 14:3). Have you torn down the idols in your life? Have you renounced the evil things in which you were once involved?

"And commanded Judah to seek the LORD God of their fathers, and to do the law and the commandment" (II Chronicles 14:4). Have you prioritized seeking the LORD God? Have you make it a priority to keep God's law and commandments? Asa did it in his life and in the country.

"Also he took away out of all the cities of Judah the high places and the images: and the kingdom was quiet before him" (II Chronicles 14:5). When he removed all the places of idol worship and the statues, he experienced peace within his country. We can also experience peace inside when all the idols and statues (that may be heroes or concepts) are cast down.

During this time of peace, he didn't just become a couch potato. "And he built fenced cities in Judah: for the land had rest, and he had no war in those years; because the LORD had given him rest" (II Chronicles 14:6). We should not only tear down the strongholds (II Corinthians 10:4) in our lives but also fortify ourselves with the Word of God.

"Therefore he said unto Judah, Let us build these cities, and make about them walls, and towers, gates, and bars, while the land is yet before us; because we have sought the LORD our God, we have sought him, and he hath given us rest on every side. So they built and prospered" (II Chronicles 14:7). God had given Asa ten years of peace, and he recognized that God was the source of his peace. However, he also recognized that it was a time to build and prosper during peace, not just sit around and do nothing. It was a time to become productive.

"And Asa had an army of men that bare targets and spears, out of Judah three hundred thousand; and out of Benjamin, that bare shields and drew bows, two hundred and fourscore thousand: all these were mighty men of valour" (II Chronicles 14:8). During the ten years of peace from external invasion, Asa built up his army. Why?

It was because, sooner or later, there would be an invasion from the outside! Even after Jesus, the Son of God was tempted, the devil only left him for a time. "And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season" (Luke 4:13). This means that he returned again. Are you ready to pursue the enemy when (not if) he returns?

Sure enough, an enemy much more significant in size and strength than Asa came to attack him. "And there came out against them Zerah the Ethiopian with a host of a thousand thousand, and three hundred chariots; and came unto Mareshah" (II Chronicles 14:9). I know of no human being in the natural is a match for the devil!

However, look at Asa's response. He didn't run as a coward. He didn't hide. "Then Asa went out against him, and they set the battle in array in the valley of Zephathah at Mareshah" (II Chronicles 14:10). He set himself to fight against the enemy.

Look at what he did before he entered into battle. "And Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, LORD, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O LORD, thou art our God; let not man prevail against thee" (II Chronicles 14:11).

1. Asa cried unto the LORD (Yahweh, the creator and ruler of all creation). The word "cried" implies a cry like a child calling his dad for help.

2. Asa acknowledged that God could help, and it doesn't matter how strong or weak the individual is.

3. He petitioned God specifically to help. "Help us, O LORD our God."

a. This is based upon his personal relation to God, "our God."

b. It is based upon the fact that the people totally trusted God.

c. Then they go out into battle in the NAME of God.

4. He declared that the battle is God's, not his own.

What were the results? "So the LORD smote the Ethiopians before Asa and before Judah, and the Ethiopians fled" (II Chronicles 14:12). Note that God defeated the Ethiopians.

"And Asa and the people with him pursued them unto Gerar: and the Ethiopians were overthrown, that they could not recover themselves; for they were destroyed before the LORD, and before his host; and they carried away very much spoil. And they smote all the cities round about Gerar; for the fear of the LORD came upon them: and they spoiled all the cities; for there was exceeding much spoil in them. They smote also the tents of cattle, and carried away sheep and camels in abundance, and returned to Jerusalem" (II Chronicles 14:13-15).

Asa defended his land and pursued after the enemy to gain a great spoil. We are to be more than conquerors. "Nay, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him that loved us" (Romans 8:37).

II. Losing your life. II Chronicles 15 and 16.

NOTES:
The prophet Azariah, came to both encourage and warn Asa. "And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded: And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you" (II Chronicles 15:1-2).

God gave Asa PEACE for thirty-five years this time. Asa continued to put away much of the idol worship but allowed some idol worship to remain in the land. This time, another enemy came against Asa. "In the six and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa Baasha king of Israel came up against Judah, and built Ramah, to the intent that he might let none go out or come into Asa king of Judah" (II Chronicles 16:1).

This time, Asa tried to hire Benhadad, king of Syria, to fight for him using the money collected for the LORD in the temple. BAD NEWS! Many today use their tithes and offerings to pay secular counselors and physicians to get them out of their problems.

Benhadad went out to fight against Baasha for Asa, and he was defeated and backed off; therefore, this seemed to bring a temporary end to Asa's problems. However, God sent a prophet to Asa. "And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, Because thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the LORD thy God, therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of thine hand" (II Chronicles 16:7). This time Asa let the enemy escape and didn't get a spoil.

This time, instead of receiving the blessings of God, he got a scolding from the prophet. "Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge host, with many chariots and horsemen? yet, because thou didst rely on the LORD, he delivered them into thine hand. For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars" (II Chronicles 16:8-9).

However, instead of repenting and turning to God, Asa becomes furious at God's messenger and puts him in jail. "Then Asa was wroth with the seer, and put him in a prison house; for he was in a rage with him because of this thing. And Asa oppressed some of the people the same time" (II Chronicles 16:10). His anger also spread to the people as well. Furthermore, the anger opened the door for the enemy to work even more in his life. "And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease, he sought not to the LORD, but to the physicians" (II Chronicles 16:12). Again, instead of seeking God, he sought "professional" help.

The sad result ... "And Asa slept with his fathers and died in the one and fortieth year of his reign. And they buried him in his own sepulchers, which he had made for himself in the city of David, and laid him in the bed which was filled with sweet odors and divers kinds of spices prepared by the apothecaries' art: and they made a very great burning for him" (II Chronicles 16:13-14).

III. Other Scriptural examples of taking the spoil.

A. When the people repented and turned to God in the midst of being slaves, God gave them the spoils of the Egyptians. "And the LORD gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians" (Exodus 12:36). "He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes" (Psalm 105:37).

B. Goliath and the army of the Philistines came against the army of Saul, but David acted in faith, and Israel took the spoil "And the children of Israel returned from chasing after the Philistines, and they spoiled their tents" (I Samuel 17:53).

C. Jehoshaphat was surrounded and outnumbered by his enemies, but when he turned to the LORD, the LORD gave him a great spoil. "And when Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away the spoil of them, they found among them in abundance both riches with the dead bodies, and precious jewels, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away: and they were three days in a gathering of the spoil, it was so much" (II Chronicles 20:25). It took THREE whole days to gather the spoil.

D. The enemy had Paul and Silas put in prison, but they took the spoil of the salvation of the jailer and his family. "And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway" (Acts 16:16-33).

E. The devil sought to kill and destroy Jesus, but Jesus took the spoils. "Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bares the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors" (Isaiah 53:12). "And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it" (Colossians 2:15). "Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God" (Hebrews 12:12).

IV. You as a Believer may also take a spoil when the enemy comes.

A. You are to overcome the world. "For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world but believes that Jesus is the Son of God?" (I John 5:4-5).

B. You are to overcome the powers of darkness. "Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ comes in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, of which ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world" (I John 4:2-4).

C. You are to be MORE than a conqueror. "Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us" (Roman 8:37). A conqueror may defeat the enemy, but you are to be MORE than a conqueror. You are to take a SPOIL!

The Spirit of Self Pity - move to wix

Jesus came to mend a broken heart!

What is Self-Pity?

Self-pity is a spirit that will bind you to the hell of your past as if with super glue and not allow you to go on to the future. That is the purpose of self-pity, not to fulfill the calling the Lord has for you.

Accusing spirits will accompany Self-pity and hold you fast - into feeling so sorry for yourself that life no longer works for you. So, it is essential to let go of the past to move into a new future potential of liberty in Christ. Otherwise, you are stuck not able to move forward to the things Christ has preordained you to be.

Demons usually come in groups, not just one at a time, and the one who gains entrance helps the others to come in. When self-pity speaks, it can lead to defeatism coming in, which then leads to the downward spiral of depression and feeling worthless and despairing. Feeling worthless and despairing can also then lead to all sorts of bondage– alcohol, sex, drugs, overeating, anorexia because of feelings of being useless.

Not only that but being sick will not allow you to be well mentally. When your mind is sick, then your body can start to decay—the mind, body, and soul connection. Everything is connected. Every negative thought releases negative chemicals, producing disease.

Self-pity must be surrendered to God for God to miraculously heal you - healing your wounded heart. One of the most effective ways to destroy the habit of feeling sorry for oneself is to focus on God. Look at his creation and praise him. Several ways to surrender self-pity:

It is to choose a favor or scripture of promise of God’s word for you.

Signs of self-pity!

Many times, unforgiveness is the key to holding self-pity in place. That means doing what the word says, letting go, and forgiving those who have hurt you.

Self-pity often leads to unforgiveness, anger and hatred, resentment, rebellion of all sorts, and even a murderous and bitter broken heart.

Self-pity can be broken by taking the time to praise the Lord for the smallest of things and by having a grateful heart.

Self-pity can be a spiritual stronghold of thinking and might need more help, such as deliverance prayers. Jesus came, setting the captives free from generational curses, bondage, demon possession, etc.

A person must learn to overcome self-pity or eliminate self-pity

What are Strongholds that need to be demolished!

Demolishing Strongholds

What are Strongholds that need to be demolished according to 2 Corinthians 10:5? How to Defeat a Stronghold of the Mind - The Mind-Body Connection

Strongholds are formed with our five senses (see, hear, feel, smell, and taste) and processed through thoughts and reactions. Unfortunately, we have been programmed by negative situations in life that create negative reactions, and they have to be pulled down, and it can be done through the word of God.

Example: a young girl is molested sexually by either a father or brother - the lies that become the walls of the stronghold: "I am a slut - always have been and always will be. Also, there are usually feelings of shame and guilt. You feel responsible no matter how it happens.

When truths threaten one of those walls of deception, the center of control within the stronghold quickly reinforces the weak spot with more lies and false feelings, trying to counter that bit of truth lest it breaks the walls and sets the person free. This is the setup by the enemy called demonic strongholds. The enemy has made residence and built walls around you, your heart, and your mind.

The function of an individual metal stronghold is to prevent a person from thinking effectively, feeling repentant, or repaying in ways that would defeat it as one of the fortresses of the ruling center of flesh within the person.

A stronghold is like an infected root on the brain of twisted feelings and thoughts opposite of what God's word says. These belief systems oppose God's truth - demonic strongholds of the mind. They send pain and sickness throughout the body of personality and character. The Lord's persistent love is needed to draw it to a head through his word, which literally washes the mind by renewing the mind with truth. The Word of God counteracts the lie the enemy has programmed you with.

Once the ruling center has been broken or extracted by renewing your mind with truth through the Word of God, its lies can be dismantled one by one on the Cross of Jesus Christ.

A spirit of Fear is the primary weapon of strongholds, fear of man, fear of tomorrow, fear of rejection, fear of abandonment, fear of not having enough, and much more. The Bible says "Fear Not" over 365 times. We fear letting go and trusting the goodness of God. Many times, we have not had loving fathers, and so it is hard to trust a loving God. When things go wrong, the enemy accuses the living Lord in our thoughts to get us to believe the lie that God really or indeed does not love us. Many times, a spirit of doubt and unbelief works against our minds to keep us from believing God's word and truth, that he truly loves us. It is easy to see how demons use strongholds. They establish and maintain control of our thoughts. Let me ask you, where do thoughts come from? Are they all yours, or doesn't the enemy throw thoughts at us, and we believe them?

The primary weapon against fear is 1 John 4:18 "perfect love cast out fear..." His love cast out fear. Love begins the battle against the stronghold of thinking. Love enables us to see the truth. Love hurls truth over the walls of self-deception.

To set people free, it is not enough to bind the strongman and cast him out, according to Luke 4:18-21. The power of the stronghold must be broken before his house can be plundered. It takes recognizing it, taking responsibility, repenting for believing the lie and renouncing it and then it can be removed. But a person or Christian must fill his mind with truth to keep the stronghold from forming again. This might entail finding a deliverance ministry.

According to Luke 4:18 the enemy is going to visit you again when he is removed from you. It feels his misery when outside of you and wants to rehabitate you again. A christian must fill his house with truth. Otherwise, the demon or stronghold will return with 7 more and you will be worse than before.

You can discern when a stronghold finally loses its hold. Your thinking is different and aligned with more truth than the enemy's lie.

Counter Attacks - How to remove demonic strongholds.

Strongholds and strongmen counterattack, so we must not abandon the battle before the healing has been settled.

We need to be surrounded by the family of God with a fortress of love and prayer. Family members many times might be church families if your immediate family is not saved or are abusive.

Memorize the word of God.

Praise music with thanksgiving to thank the Lord daily

Renounce Sin

How To Repent For your Sins

'renounce' means to disclaim, disown, reject publicly, and abandon something bad.
Why do we need to repent of our sins?  Two Reasons to Renounce

Reason #1 - To provide personal evidence of miraculous change that encourages others to believe in the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ. And many that believed came, and confessed, and showed their deeds. Many of them also used curious arts, brought their books together and burned them before all men, and they counted the price of them and found fifty thousand pieces of silver. So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed. Acts 19:18-20

As we have received mercy, we faint not; But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 2 Corinthians 4:1-2

Reason #2 - To maintain a godly life free from demonic bondage.

He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whosoever confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. Proverbs 28:13, and "As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come. Proverbs 26:2. The second verse says a curse cannot come on us if we do not have any open doors. The first scripture says that if we do confess our sins, then we have mercy and we are forgiven and it closes the door on the demonic to have any legal right.

We separate ourselves from the Lord when we sin - habitual sin. The enemy knows this and comes to accuse and sends his demons to work against you because it has a legal right. The good news is, Jesus is interceeding for you. He is for you and not against you. He is standing there with his arms open wide for you to make it right.

Works of the Flesh

You see sin is the works of the flesh and that is why it has to be repented and renounced. In Galatians 5:19-21 it says:

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Did you see in verse 21 it says you shall not inherit the kingdom of God when we stay in habitual sin or allow the flesh to control us allowing the enemy to have legal right to torment or take you deeper into other sins.

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. Titus 2:11-14

I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Galatians 5:16-18. Again, if we are not obedient to the word of God and choose to feed our flesh and not look at the consequences, then we cannot enter the kingdom of God.

  • Things That Should Be Renounces
  • Personal & Ancestral Sins that is against the word of God
  • Sins Done Against You
  • Sins you do to another (accusation, gossip, etc.)
  • False Religion
  • Objects Offensive to God - anything we put more important than God.
  • Occult Practices

But every man is tempted when he is drawn away of his own lust and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. James 1:14-15

Personal sins are the offenses that you committed against God. It may be you have prayed and asked the Lord to forgive you of 'all' of your sins, and He has, but you are still tasked with the responsibility of renouncing these sins for the two reasons I listed above. I encourage you to pray and ask the Lord to reveal to you all sins you need to renounce.

The renouncing of your sin to another person can be a simple and informal statement such as, "I used to do that, but the Lord showed me it is wrong. I don't want anything to do with that ever again." This lets the person know that whatever you did was wrong and sinful. It also let's the other person know that the Holy Spirit has trained you to renounce ungodly living.

You may be required to make a more formal renunciation to obtain deliverance from the demons associated with your personal sins. When renouncing these sins, you should say a statement similar to this: "I humble myself before the Lord to confess and renounce the sins of (put in the names of your sins here). In Jesus's name, I expel all evil spirits who gained entrance by these sins."

Ancestral sins (generational curses) are those your ancestors or family members committed. You may have already renounced some of these sins earlier when dealing with your own. If you have not renounced your own personal sins go back up and do that first. Even if you haven't committed the same sins your ancestors or other family members have, you should still renounce their sins, too. The reason this needs done is to separate yourself from the generational curses their sins bring to the family. Your renunciation might inspire your other family members to renounce their sins, too.

You might not be operating in the same sin, but there is a bent to continually tempt you there, so go ahead and renounce the sins of your forefathers.

A formal renunciation of ancestral and family sins might read, "I renounce the ancestral and family sins of (all ancestral and family sins). I subject all curses that come with those sins to Christ's authority. In the name of Jesus, I expel from myself all evil spirits who gained entrance via my family's bloodline."

Below is a list of general sins. None of the lists is exhaustive, so you might consider customizing your own lists that contain your specific sins.

  • Bitterness (unforgiveness, resentfulness, retaliation, anger/wrath, rage, hatred, violence, murder, suicide, etc.) deception (lying, deceit, false accusation, unfairness, belittling, slander)
  • gossip (back-biting, judgmental)
  • Accusation (accusing others, accusing yourself, accusing God,
  • Envy/Jealousy (theft, coveting, envy, rivalry, gossip, accusation, greed, strife, division, etc.)
  • Spirit of Rejection - (self-rejection, abandonment, accusation, false burden bearing, fear, etc.)
  • Unloving Spirit - perversion (immorality, talking vulgar, masochism, sadism, homosexuality, beastiality, rape, lust, fornication, masturbation, sodomy, incest, and molestation, self-rejection, self-bitterness, self-hatred, self-comparision, self-analiation, self-sabotage, gluttony, self-mutiliation, etc. abuse (abusing someone physically, spiritually, emotionally or mentally; violence, drunkenness, instigating arguments, abortion) )
  • Spirit of Fear (doubt and unbelief, worry, etc.)
  • Occult (rebellion, witchcraft, stubbornness, pride, arrogance, vanity, occult, division - fortune telling, hypnotism, idolatry, sorcery, witchcraft, necromancy and wizardry, controlling others, and self, matriarchal, patriarchal, deception, etc.)

These sins are those that other people perpetrate against you. If you were abused, then you need to renounce the sins of your abuser so that you may not become the same kind of perpetrator. It is not uncommon for an abused person to fall into the same sin his or her abuser committed; therefore these sins must be renounced so that may never happen.

A formal renunciation of the sins against you might read, "I renounce the sins of (whatever was done against you). I subject all curses that come with those sins to Christ's authority. In Jesus's name, I expel all evil spirits who gained entrance by these sins."

perversion (immorality, belittling, incest, rape, sodomy, incest, and molestation)

theft, deception (lying, deceit, false accusation, belittling, slander)

gossip (back-biting, judgmental), abuse (someone abused you either physically, spiritually, emotionally or mentally) witchcraft (someone attempted to obtain control over you)

Note: Be sure that you have forgiven the persons who sinned against you. If you do not understand forgiveness click on this link and read the forgiveness articles.

It is also important that if someone sin affected you to forgive those who have hurt you, abused you or used you. Then also forgive yourself for participating with sin.

False Religions

A formal renunciation of involvement with any false religion would look like this, "I renounce ever participating in (all false religions you were a part of). I subject all curses that come with such participation to Christ's authority. In the name of Jesus, I expel demons from myself all evil spirits who gained entrance due to my involvement."
