Breaking Free from Trauma: A Deliverance Approach to  Healing

Trauma leaves invisible scars. It buries itself deep in the body and soul—hiding behind anxiety, fear, sleep disorders, chronic pain, emotional numbness, or sudden irrational reactions. What most Christians don’t realize is trauma can open doors to demonic oppression. These spiritual intrusions continue tormenting the believer long after the physical event has passed.

Deliverance ministry provides a way out. Through targeted prayer and the authority of Jesus Christ, you can be healed from the wounds of the past, shut every demonic access point, and receive true rest.

Step 1: Identify the Trauma

Begin by interviewing the individual. Ask about physical, emotional, spiritual, or sexual trauma starting in childhood. Write down any of the following:

• Divorce or death of loved ones

• Rejection, abandonment, or abuse

• Accidents, major illnesses, broken bones

• Invasive surgeries or anesthesia

• Rape, molestation, homosexual encounters

• Near-death experiences or suicide attempts

• Frequent moves or childhood instability

These traumatic experiences often serve as entry points for demonic torment. The enemy exploits brokenness. According to John 10:10, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy.” Satan uses trauma to destroy lives.

Step 2: Gain Permission and Take Authority

Before proceeding in prayer, explain the process and get the person’s permission. If they grant it, take authority over their body—also referred to as their “being”—in the name of Jesus Christ.

Command out:

• All effects of the traumas on your list

• All emotional, chemical, and physiological imprints

• Any substances (toxins, anesthesia) the body retained

• Trauma-induced enzymes and abnormal reactions

Declare:

“In the name of Jesus Christ, I command every trace of trauma, fear, shock, injury, and substance associated with these events to leave this body without harm or backlash.”

Psalm 107:20 — “He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.”

Step 3: Remove Trauma Memories and Emotional Wounds

Speak to the body and soul again in prayer. Command out:

• Short and long-term trauma effects

• Residual memories of abuse, defiling touch, or violent incidents

• Spoken curses from parents, authority figures, or bullies

• Emotional wounds from rejection or abandonment

If sexual trauma occurred, command out all associated sensory memories (smell, taste, sound, vibration, or touch).

Clients often feel weight lift from their bodies or become extremely relaxed. Many fall asleep during ministry as the torment begins to lift.

Step 4: Disconnect from 2nd Heaven Entities

Ask the Lord to disconnect the person from demonic rulers, dominions, and principalities that gained access through trauma.

Psalm 115:16 says,

“The heavens are the Lord’s heavens; but the earth he has given to the children of man.”

We have been given authority on earth. But 2nd heaven rulers must be dealt with by the Father. Pray:

“Father, in Jesus’ name, deal with every ruler, throne, dominion, or power that gained access through this trauma. Cut off all tormenting dreams, voices, and manipulation.”

This alone can stop tormenting dreams in 95% of cases.

Step 5: Shut Every Demonic Portal

Pray with boldness:

“In Jesus’ name, I close every portal, pathway, or tracking system opened by trauma. I cancel all assignments of familiar spirits and erase every marker placed on this person.”

Generational trauma, including ancestral abuse or pagan practices, can pass down demonic rights. Repent on behalf of ancestors if needed (Nehemiah 1:6).

Step 6: Recover Fractured Soul Parts

Ask God to retrieve any parts of the individual’s soul trapped in time, space, dimension, or even Sheol.

Isaiah 61:1-2 declares that Jesus came to:

“Bind up the brokenhearted, proclaim liberty to the captives, and open the prison to those who are bound.”

Trauma often fractures the soul. These parts can remain stuck at the age of trauma. Walk the person year by year from birth, inviting the Lord to reintegrate every part back into their current being. If prenatal trauma occurred (such as an attempted abortion), begin from conception.

Step 7: Restore the Brain and Nervous System

Heavily traumatized people often live from the left brain only—logic, survival, planning—while the creative right brain lies dormant. Pray over the brain:

“Lord, restore memory retrieval. Reconnect all broken pathways in the amygdala, hippocampus, and brain stem. Heal every trauma-damaged area.”

You can also ask permission to lay hands on their head and pray healing over the five trauma-affected brain areas. Expect a strong anointing.

Step 8: Re-establish Godly Sleep

Proverbs 3:24 promises:

“When you lie down, you will not be afraid; your sleep will be sweet.”

Pray for:

• Restorative, undisturbed sleep

• Dreams from God for instruction

• Protection from tormenting spirits during sleep

90% of trauma-healing clients report improved sleep immediately. God often speaks through dreams once the torment ends.

Step 9: Break Trauma-Based Behavior Loops

Pray for the dismantling of:

• Exaggerated fear responses

• PTSD triggers and phobias

• Automatic emotional shutdown

Ask the Lord to recreate normal emotional responses so they can react peacefully under pressure and remain emotionally stable.

2 Timothy 1:7 says,

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

Step 10: Instruct the Human Spirit to Turn to God

Teach your client to pray every night:

“Human spirit, turn your face to the Father. Receive from Him everything needed for the coming day.”

Psalm 16:7 says,

“I will bless the Lord, who has given me counsel: my heart also instructs me in the night seasons.”

This positions the spirit to receive strength, clarity, and peace as they sleep.

Final Thoughts

Trauma is not just a psychological issue. It is a spiritual battle that requires spiritual weapons. When doors are opened through trauma, especially repeated events, demonic spirits often exploit these soul wounds.

But Jesus Christ came to heal the brokenhearted, deliver the captives, and restore what was stolen. Through prayer, spiritual authority, and the power of the Holy Spirit, every shattered soul can be made whole.

Healing of Traumas: A Biblical Path to Deliverance

Many Christians unknowingly carry emotional trauma that continues to affect their walk with God. These soul wounds—left unhealed—can act as open doors for demonic spirits to enter or oppress. The good news? Jesus came to heal the brokenhearted (Luke 4:18) and set the captives free. Healing from trauma is possible, but it requires identification, repentance, and deliverance.

Trauma is more than emotional pain. It’s a spiritual access point. If not dealt with biblically, it can open the soul to rejection, fear, bitterness, or even spirits of infirmity, suicide, or perversion.

Let’s examine areas where trauma commonly enters, and how to deal with them through repentance, prayer, and biblical authority.

1. Trauma from Conception to Birth

Possible Entry Points:

• Conceived out of wedlock (Deuteronomy 23:2 – curse of illegitimacy)

• Unwanted child or gender-based rejection

• Mother’s emotional illness or stress during pregnancy

• Birth complications (cord around neck, premature birth)

• Separated from mother after birth

• Words spoken over child in womb (“I don’t want this baby”)

Spiritual Consequences:

These experiences often result in rejection, fear, or identity confusion. Spirits of rejection, fear, infirmity, or shame may enter at this early stage. If a parent was involved in witchcraft, drunkenness, or fornication at conception, generational spirits may also be transmitted.

Healing Strategy:

• Renounce the curse of illegitimacy (Deut. 23:2).

• Forgive your parents or caretakers.

• Repent of any bitterness or self-hatred.

• Invite Jesus into the memory of your conception and birth.

2. Illness or Separation in Childhood

Common Open Doors:

• Hospitalizations or being placed in isolation

• Being given up for adoption or abandonment

• Divorce, death, or absence of a parent

• Moving frequently, causing instability

• Rejection due to appearance, handicaps, or sickness

Spiritual Manifestations:
Fear of abandonment, rejection, or striving for love may dominate your behavior. Spirits of infirmity, loneliness, or self-pity can take root. Children who were left in hospitals or with babysitters often struggle with bonding and trust issues later in life.

Healing Prayer:
“Lord, I forgive those who abandoned or rejected me. I break every soul tie and demonic attachment formed through early trauma. I release myself from the spirit of rejection, abandonment, and fear in Jesus’ name!”

3. Rejection from Conflict or Abuse

Open Doors:

• Molestation, incest, rape

• Being bullied or falsely accused

• Betrayal by friends, family, church leaders, or employers

• Emotional, verbal, or physical abuse

• False religion, cults, or satanic ritual abuse

• Sexual sin outside marriage

• Death of someone close

• Victim of lies, slander, or gossip

• Coarse jesting, scapegoating, racial prejudice

Spiritual Effects:
Deep wounds from these events can produce bitterness, unworthiness, depression, anger, lust, or perversion. Spirits of trauma, fear, rebellion, or even murder (spiritual or literal) can attach themselves if these wounds aren’t healed. Many suffer from PTSD-like symptoms, insomnia, or nightmares.

Scripture Support:

• Isaiah 53:5 – “By His wounds we are healed.”

• Psalm 147:3 – “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

Deliverance Tip:
Make a list of all who have wounded you. Forgive them by name. Renounce any ungodly soul ties. Use the prayer of repentance:
“Lord, I repent of bitterness, anger, and hatred. I choose to forgive and bless those who hurt me. Heal my wounded soul and restore my joy.”

4. Broken Heart and Disappointment

Examples of Trauma:

• Marital separation or divorce

• Rejection by a loved one

• Lost promotion or stolen recognition

• Slandered or mistreated when most vulnerable

• Childless or longing for companionship

• Embarrassment or humiliation

• Unfulfilled dreams (Proverbs 13:12)

Open Door Demons:
These include spirits of depression, despair, hopelessness, suicide, or infirmity. The Bible tells us that “a broken spirit dries the bones” (Proverbs 17:22), meaning your physical health can also suffer from unhealed soul wounds.

Healing Prayer:
“Lord Jesus, heal my broken heart. I surrender every shattered dream and every disappointment. I renounce depression, hopelessness, and despair. I receive Your joy and hope again.”

5. Generational Trauma

If your ancestors experienced trauma, rejection, or abuse—and it went unhealed—those patterns may repeat in your life. This is called a generational curse (Exodus 20:5).

Examples:

• Repeated divorce or abandonment

• Mental illness or emotional breakdowns

• Early death or suicide

• Addictions or poverty

• Rejection in families

• Trauma linked to war, cults, or abuse

Breaking the Cycle:

• Repent for your ancestors’ sins.

• Break off every generational curse using Galatians 3:13 – “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law.”

• Renounce and cast out inherited spirits (e.g., rejection, fear, infirmity, witchcraft).

Practical Steps for Healing

1. Identify – Make a list of traumatic events and emotional reactions.

2. Forgive – Forgiveness is not a feeling; it’s a choice.

3. Repent – Confess wrong reactions (bitterness, hatred, self-pity, etc.).

4. Renounce – Break agreement with lies and demonic spirits.

5. Command – In the name of Jesus, command demons to leave.

6. Invite the Holy Spirit – Ask the Lord to fill every broken area with His love.

“Father God, I come to You in the name of Jesus. I confess and repent for reacting to trauma with bitterness, unforgiveness, anger, hatred, and fear. I forgive every person who hurt or abandoned me. I renounce every spirit of rejection, fear, trauma, infirmity, despair, perversion, and shame. I break every generational curse and soul tie from trauma. I invite You, Holy Spirit, to heal my wounds and restore my soul. In Jesus’ name, Amen!”

Fear Is a Liar: Break Free from Its Demonic Stronghold

Exposing the Spirit of Fear – Origins, Manifestations & Deliverance

Fear is not just a feeling. It is a spiritual force, often demonic in origin, that seeks to steal your peace, silence your calling, and derail your destiny. The enemy, Satan—a fallen archangel—operates heavily through fear to torment and paralyze God’s people.

Ezekiel 28:19 – "Thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more."
The root of all fear originates from Satan, who became the embodiment of terror.

There are over 4,000 known types of fear, which means the enemy has crafted countless voices and methods to assault your mind, heart, and body. Understanding how fear speaks helps us uncover its schemes and destroy them through Jesus Christ.

🔍 What Are Some Things Fear Says?

Fear often whispers:

• “You’re not safe.”

• “You’re going to fail.”

• “God won’t come through.”

• “What if this goes wrong?”

• “You’re all alone.”

But what does God say?

Luke 18:27 – “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”

😨 1. Worry – The Choking Grip of Fear

The word worry derives from an Anglo-Saxon root meaning “to choke” or “strangle.” It is that mental suffocation we feel when we face unresolved problems—without God in the equation.

Worry is fear looking into the future without faith. It often stems from a childhood or generational belief that “I must control everything to stay safe.”

Philippians 4:6-7 – “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer... the peace of God... shall keep your hearts and minds.”

Demonic Manifestation: Chronic worry can open the door to tormenting spirits of fear, insomnia, control, and even digestive disorders. Ancestral worry or fretting can transfer through family lines as anxiety-prone behaviors.

😬 2. Anxiety – Fear Without a Face

Anxiety is internal unrest about uncertain outcomes, often with no visible cause. It's like a constant spiritual tension hanging in the atmosphere.

Philippians 4:8 – “Whatever things are true... just... pure... think on these things.”

Anxiety twists your focus from God’s promises to the “what-ifs” of tomorrow. It is a spiritual distraction that clouds discernment.

Demonic Manifestation: Anxiety opens the door for spirits of confusion, restlessness, nervousness, and even heart palpitations. Panic attacks often begin here.

🔥 3. Distress – Mental Claustrophobia

The Hebrew understanding of distress describes being crushed or pressed in—a feeling of no escape. It's spiritual claustrophobia, squeezing the hope out of your spirit.

Romans 8:35-39 – “Shall distress... separate us from the love of Christ? Nay... we are more than conquerors.”

Demonic Manifestation: Chronic distress invites spirits of sorrow, infirmity, and depression. If your ancestors lived through war, abuse, or prolonged hardship, you may carry spiritual grief and distress.

😱 4. Panic – Terror from a Demon God

The word "panic" comes from the Greek god Pan, a deity believed to strike sudden terror. Panic unleashes terror in the body: racing heart, dizziness, nausea, chills, and an overwhelming sense of doom.

1 Peter 3:14-15 – “Be not afraid of their terror... but sanctify the Lord God in your hearts.”

Demonic Manifestation: Panic is often a spirit. It causes physical symptoms and can immobilize a believer’s faith. It must be cast out in Jesus’ name.

Generational Root: Ancestors who worshipped fear gods, engaged in witchcraft, or had nervous disorders can pass down a spiritual predisposition to panic attacks.

😔 5. Timidity – The Theft of Your God-Given Identity

Timidity is not humility. It is a fear-based condition that keeps you silent when God says, “Speak.” It’s the enemy's attempt to steal your identity as a bold child of God.

2 Timothy 1:7 – “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

Demonic Manifestation: Timidity often brings spirits of insecurity, inferiority, and fear of man. You may doubt God’s voice or question your authority.

💣 Breaking the Spirit of Fear

Accident-Prone? Uncover the Spiritual Roots and Break the Cycle of Trauma

Have you or a loved one been frequently involved in accidents, injuries, or traumas—especially car wrecks—and wondered if something more is going on spiritually?

In deliverance ministry, recurring accidents often point to deeper spiritual roots. These can stem from self-bitterness, generational curses, unhealed trauma, or even occult involvement like Freemasonry in the bloodline. The enemy often uses trauma as an open door to bring fear, confusion, pain—and more bondage.

🚧 Spiritual Roots Behind Frequent Accidents

1. Spirits of Self-Sabotage and Self-Bitterness
People who have unresolved self-hatred or guilt may unknowingly open a door to self-sabotage. This is a demonic foothold where accidents and failures seem to "follow" a person.

Scripture:

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.” — Proverbs 23:7
“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.” — Romans 8:1

2. Victim Spirit and Unloving Spirits
A person who constantly feels like a victim may have unknowingly partnered with a victim spirit—which can attract accidents and abuse. This stems from unloving spirits, self-rejection, and shame.

3. Fear, Anxiety, and Stress
Trauma opens the door for fear. After an accident, the mind can replay the trauma, allowing shock (a form of fear) to take root. The Word says:

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” — 2 Timothy 1:7

4. Generational Curses and Freemasonry
If there are Freemasons or occult involvement in your ancestry, that gives legal ground to the spirits of death, hell, and destruction (Revelation 6:8). These spirits are known to cause premature death, destruction, freak accidents, and chronic illness.

If you have Germanic ancestry, you may need to renounce any generational hatred, bloodshed, or unrepented sin related to the Holocaust or antisemitism. This opens a door to the spirit of murder and death.

🙏 Steps to Break Free from the Accident-Prone Cycle

Step 1: Forgive and Release Bitterness
Unforgiveness is one of the biggest blocks to healing and deliverance. Demons hide behind bitterness.

“If ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” — Matthew 6:15

Before you deal with trauma or accidents, close this door first by forgiving others and yourself.

Step 2: Cast Out Spirits of Self-Sabotage, Bitterness, and Fear
In Jesus’ name, command the spirits of self-retaliation, victimhood, and fear to go. Declare healing over your mind, body, and emotions.

Step 3: Break Occult and Generational Curses
Renounce Freemasonry, death, and any ancestral vows. Speak the blood of Jesus over your bloodline.

Prayer Example:
"I renounce all involvement in Freemasonry, knowingly or unknowingly, and break every curse of death, hell, and destruction off my life and bloodline. I plead the blood of Jesus and command every generational spirit behind accidents, trauma, and fear to go in Jesus’ name!"

Step 4: Heal the Trauma and Break the Spirit of Shock
Shock is fear entering during trauma. Command it to leave.

Prayer Example:
"I command the spirit of trauma and shock to leave my body now. I speak peace to my nervous system, spine, discs, and muscles. I declare healing and alignment in Jesus’ name, according to John 1:1 and Isaiah 53:5."

Step 5: Renew the Mind
If your mind replays the trauma over and over, it becomes a meme or program that reinforces the pain. You must shut the door on that cycle.

“Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” — Romans 12:2

Instead of replaying the accident, meditate on God’s Word. Replace the memory with the promises of protection and healing.

💥 Warning: Demonic Manifestation May Occur

If you’ve experienced repeated accidents or trauma, even as a believer, you may be under spiritual bondage. Participating in occult practices like Reiki, Freemasonry, or seeking healing through ungodly modalities (energy healing, New Age techniques) can open demonic doors. Even if your ancestors did these things, the enemy will exploit it.

Manifestations may include:

• Chronic back or nerve pain after trauma

• Fear of driving or recurring anxiety

• Financial hardship following accidents

• Cycles of bad luck or destruction

These are not coincidences—they’re demonic patterns. But Jesus came to break every curse!

“Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law.” — Galatians 3:13

Does it feel like your finances are under constant pressure—no matter how hard you work? Are you living paycheck to paycheck, weighed down by anxiety and confusion? You may be under spiritual financial attack.

Satan uses financial oppression as a powerful distraction, keeping believers in a cycle of fear, debt, and discouragement—making it difficult to focus on God’s promises and purpose. Scripture warns us:

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” – John 10:10

Financial hardship can be more than just poor planning. It can be a demonic assignment of lack, poverty, or even a generational curse inherited from ancestors who served false gods or engaged in occult practices tied to mammon, Freemasonry, witchcraft, or manipulation.

Inherited Demonic Covenants: Why Your Freedom Requires Renouncing the Past

✝️ Inherited Powers Must Be Broken to Walk in Deliverance

Many Christians struggle with persistent issues—fear, addiction, lust, sickness, or depression—without realizing these patterns are not just personal weaknesses but spiritual chains tied to ancestral covenants. The Bible makes clear that deliverance is often required because of what your forefathers worshipped and the covenants they made with demonic powers.

Exodus 20:5 warns:

“For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations...”

These inherited curses or "legal rights" of demons must be broken by you, through prayer, fasting, and spiritual authority in the blood of Jesus.

🩸 God Honors Covenants—Even Evil Ones Until They're Broken

God is a covenant-keeping God (Deuteronomy 7:9), and that includes respecting ungodly covenants made by your ancestors. He will not override human free will—even if those agreements were made by generations past.
