While modern therapy presents itself as scientific, it draws from ancient Eastern healing philosophies, which often involve subtle energy manipulation and mind-body-spirit integration.

Sutherland’s ideas were influenced by Esoteric concepts of life energy, which are similar to ideas found in Ayurveda, Taoism, and subtle-energy healing systems. These were not biblical approaches to health—they were spiritual and mystical.

Cranial therapy is built on beliefs such as:

  • The skull and spine emit subtle life energy rhythms that affect health.

  • Gentle manipulation can release blockages in these energy flows.

  • Universal energy, chi, or prana

  • Energetic guides or spiritual forces

These are forms of false gods and demonic spirits, even if practitioners do not call them by name. Scripture warns against seeking power from these sources: “There shall not be found among you anyone who… consults the dead, practices divination, or seeks omens” (Deuteronomy 18:10–12).

The purpose of cranial therapy is to:

  • In Hindu cosmology, the god Vishnu rests on a serpent while Brahma emerges to create the world.

  • In Greece, philosophers like Plato and Aristotle speculated about the eternal cosmos and divine order.

In modern cosmology, while it may reject literal gods, it often elevates the universe itself as godlike—self-existent, self-sustaining, and the source of life. Romans 1:25 warns of this very deception: “They exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator.”

The purpose of cosmology has always been to explain existence. Ancient cultures used it to support religion, rituals, and worship of gods. Modern cosmology uses it to replace faith in God with science.

It is used to:

  • Search for the universe’s origin without acknowledging a Creator.

  • Promote naturalistic explanations of life.

  • Provide a worldview that shapes philosophy, morality, and even politics.

For many, cosmology becomes a way to answer life’s biggest questions—Where did we come from? Why are we here? Where are we going?—without turning to the Bible.

🔮 Is Cosmology Divination?

Not in the same sense as tarot or astrology, but cosmology can function like intellectual divination. Instead of seeking hidden knowledge from spirits, it seeks hidden knowledge from the stars, particles, and mathematics while denying God’s revelation in Scripture.

When cosmology becomes an ultimate belief system—trusting in the Big Bang or multiverse theories as substitutes for God—it becomes idolatry and deception.

Colossians 2:8 warns: “See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition… and not according to Christ.”

The Bible declares: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). True cosmology begins with God as Creator, not random explosions or mythological gods. Any attempt to explain creation apart from Him is a counterfeit.

Christians must be careful not to embrace cosmological theories that contradict God’s Word. Science can explore how the universe functions, but it cannot replace the truth of who made it and why.

Yes. Crystal healing functions as a form of divination and sorcery. Whether using crystals in pendulums, laying stones on chakras, or meditating with them, these practices attempt to access supernatural knowledge or power outside of God.

The Bible is clear:

  • “There shall not be found among you anyone… who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens…” (Deuteronomy 18:10–12).

  • “Now the works of the flesh are evident: idolatry, sorcery… those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” (Galatians 5:19–21).

What may look “innocent” as jewelry or home décor becomes spiritually dangerous when given mystical meaning or power.

Crystal healing is a counterfeit to God’s true healing. While God created crystals and gems as beautiful parts of creation, He did not give them spiritual powers. Satan twists what God made and lures people into occult practices through them.

True healing, peace, and guidance come only from Jesus Christ. Isaiah 53:5 says, “By His wounds we are healed.” Turning to crystals replaces Christ with creation—a form of idolatry.
