The Occult Trap of Psychokinesis: Biblical Truth Christians Must Know
PK / Parakinesis – The Occult Power Behind Moving Objects by the Mind
PK, also called Parakinesis or Psychokinesis, is the alleged ability to move or manipulate physical objects using only the mind and willpower. While it is often portrayed in movies, video games, and paranormal shows as a “cool” or “special gift,” the true source of this power is not from God but from the kingdom of darkness. The Bible warns believers to avoid any practice rooted in sorcery, witchcraft, or divination (Deuteronomy 18:10–12).
Spirituality and Origins
PK’s roots lie in occult and mystical traditions from various cultures:
Eastern Mysticism – Ancient Hindu and Buddhist yogis claimed “siddhis” (supernatural powers) including levitation and moving objects by mind power. These were achieved through deep meditation, altered states, and invoking spirit guides.
Western Occultism – In 19th and 20th century spiritualism, mediums claimed to move tables or objects during séances. Many later admitted they relied on spirit entities for these manifestations.
Shamanism – Certain tribal shamans across Africa, South America, and Asia claimed control over objects as part of spirit rituals and curses.
Beliefs and “Gods” Behind It
Practitioners often believe PK is a “latent human ability” or part of “evolutionary consciousness.” But in truth, this power is channeled through familiar spirits—demonic beings who masquerade as helpers. In Hinduism, powers are linked to deities like Shiva or Kali; in occultism, they are linked to “ascended masters” or “spirit guides” who are actually fallen angels.
Scripture is clear:
“The things which the Gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I do not want you to have fellowship with demons.” — 1 Corinthians 10:20
Purpose and Why People Use It
PK is often sought for:
Entertainment or Fame – Stage magicians and paranormal TV stars
Power and Control – Occultists seeking to intimidate or curse
Curiosity – People dabbling in psychic development classes
Revenge or Harm – Cursing objects or sending spiritual attacks
While it is not “divination” in the traditional sense of telling the future, PK is part of the same occult network—it relies on contact with unclean spirits, which is forbidden (Leviticus 19:31).
Demonic Manifestations for Christians
When a believer practices PK, visits someone who does it, or has ancestors who did, they open spiritual gates for demonic entry. Manifestations can include:
Unexplained movement of objects in the home
Night terrors, shadow figures, or poltergeist activity
Mental torment, confusion, and obsessive thoughts
Sudden anger or violence
Sickness with no medical cause
Spiritual oppression during prayer or worship
These are the fruits of fellowship with demons (John 10:10), not the Holy Spirit.
Biblical Warnings
Deuteronomy 18:10–12 – Condemns sorcery, witchcraft, and spiritism
Acts 16:16–18 – A slave girl with a spirit of divination could perform supernatural feats until Paul cast the demon out
2 Corinthians 11:14 – Satan disguises himself as an angel of light
Leviticus 20:6 – Turning to familiar spirits defiles a person and brings God’s judgment
If Your Ancestors Practiced PK
Occult power often travels down generational bloodlines. Suppose parents, grandparents, or ancestors engaged in PK, psychokinesis, or other occult practices. In that case, the spiritual rights of those spirits must be broken in Jesus’ name (Exodus 20:5). Until that legal ground is removed, demonic oppression may persist even if you never personally practiced it.
Deliverance Steps
Recognize – Admit PK is an occult practice, not a God-given gift.
Repent – Confess and turn away from any involvement (1 John 1:9).
Renounce – Speak out loud rejecting PK, psychic powers, and the spirits behind them.
Break Generational Curses – Cancel ancestral rights through the blood of Jesus (Galatians 3:13).
Command Spirits to Leave – In Jesus’ name, command all unclean spirits to depart (Mark 16:17).
Fill Yourself with God’s Word and Spirit – Protect your spiritual gates (Ephesians 6:10–18).
Prayer of Repentance and Deliverance
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I confess my involvement with PK, parakinesis, psychokinesis, and any other occult practice. I repent for seeking power outside of You. I renounce all spirits of witchcraft, sorcery, psychic ability, and generational curses tied to my bloodline. By the blood of Jesus, I cancel all demonic legal rights. I command every unclean spirit to leave me now and never return. Holy Spirit, fill every place in me that was occupied by darkness. Amen.
PK / Parakinesis is not a harmless “superpower.” It is a spiritual counterfeit—Satan’s imitation of God’s miracles—designed to pull people into bondage. Christians must reject and expose these works of darkness (Ephesians 5:11) and walk only in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, which glorify Christ, not man.
