Many today claim that pyramid shapes hold mysterious energy—able to heal, sharpen, preserve, or channel spiritual power. This belief, known as Pyramidology, has quietly infiltrated the New Age movement and even some Christian circles.
But what most don’t realize is that these “energies” are not from God—they are rooted in occult and demonic power, disguised as ancient wisdom.
What Is Pyramidology?
Pyramidology is the belief that pyramid-shaped objects or structures can harness and radiate mystical or cosmic energy. Followers claim these energies can preserve food, sharpen razors, heal illnesses, enhance meditation, or even align one’s spiritual vibration.
Some believe pyramids channel the same “universal life force” that animates the universe, similar to concepts found in Reiki, Hinduism, and New Age mysticism. Practitioners often meditate inside small pyramid models or wear pyramid pendants for “spiritual protection” or “energy balancing.”
While the shape itself is a geometric structure, the spiritual meaning attached to it has deep occult roots—stemming from ancient Egyptian religion, which worshiped gods of the underworld and celestial powers rather than the Creator.
Who Created the Idea?
The fascination with pyramid power in modern times began in the early 1900s, when a Frenchman named Antoine Bovis claimed that small-scale pyramid models could preserve food, much like the Egyptian pyramids supposedly preserved mummies.
Later, in the 1970s, this idea exploded into a global movement thanks to Patrick Flanagan, author of Pyramid Power. Flanagan mixed pseudo-scientific theories with New Age spirituality, teaching that pyramids channel a cosmic energy field that harmonizes the body, mind, and spirit.
His teachings echoed occult philosophy, not science or Scripture. The concept spread into meditation circles, energy healing, and even yoga practices—always promoting the belief that the pyramid shape holds supernatural power.
What Were Their Beliefs?
Followers of pyramidology believe that the pyramid’s shape focuses cosmic or universal energy, acting like an antenna that connects humans to higher dimensions or spiritual frequencies.
They see the pyramid as a “sacred geometry,” symbolizing spiritual awakening or the ascent of the soul. Many claim that sitting under a pyramid can activate the third eye, increase psychic abilities, or connect to the divine consciousness—all of which are rooted in occult practices, not biblical truth.
The Bible warns against seeking spiritual knowledge or power outside of God. Deuteronomy 18:10–12 makes it clear:
“Let no one be found among you who…practices divination or sorcery…Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord.”
Who Is Their God or gods?
Pyramidology traces back to ancient Egyptian religion, which was filled with polytheism and worship of false gods like Ra (the sun god), Osiris (the god of the underworld), and Isis (the goddess of magic). The pyramids themselves were designed as spiritual gateways, intended to help pharaohs ascend to the afterlife and become gods themselves.
In other words, the entire concept of pyramid power originates from the worship of false deities and communication with the dead, which God strictly forbids (Leviticus 19:31).
When modern practitioners use pyramids for energy or meditation, they unknowingly tap into the same demonic forces that empowered ancient idol worship. Satan disguises these powers as “universal energy” or “positive vibration,” but in truth, they are spiritual counterfeits meant to draw people away from Christ.
What Is the Purpose of Pyramidology and Why Is It Used?
The purpose of pyramidology is to seek power, healing, or enlightenment apart from God. It promises control over life’s circumstances, health, and spiritual growth through a physical object—something that directly contradicts biblical faith.
People are drawn to it because it offers:

Relief from pain or anxiety

Spiritual awakening or peace

A sense of connection to the universe

Power to influence energy or reality
But this “power” does not come from God—it comes from deceptive spiritual forces that mimic divine authority. The same way Satan offered Eve hidden knowledge in the Garden, pyramidology tempts people with false enlightenment.
Isaiah 45:5 says:
“I am the Lord, and there is no other; apart from me there is no God.”
Seeking “pyramid energy” is a direct rejection of God’s sufficiency and a form of idolatry—trusting creation over the Creator.
Is Pyramidology Divination?
Yes. Pyramidology falls under divination and sorcery because it attempts to manipulate unseen forces to gain knowledge, healing, or power. The Bible makes no distinction between “good energy” and “bad energy”—all spiritual power outside of God’s Holy Spirit is demonic.
1 Corinthians 10:20 warns,
“The sacrifices of pagans are offered to demons, not to God, and I do not want you to be participants with demons.”
This verse applies to modern spiritual practices that use symbols, objects, or energy to interact with the supernatural realm. No matter how harmless it seems, it opens a door to demonic bondage.
Why They May Need Deliverance
Those who have practiced pyramidology—whether using pyramid pendants, meditation pyramids, or “energy chambers”—may have unknowingly formed spiritual covenants with demonic forces.
These influences can lead to:
