The 7 Vital Steps to Maintain Deliverance

1. Put on the Whole Armor of God (See Philippians 4:8)

2. Make Positive Confessions - Jesus said, “If you say to this mountain… it will be done for you.” (Mark 11:23)

3. Stay in the Word of God

4. Crucify the Flesh
“If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily…”
(Luke 9:23)
Fleshly desires and appetites open the door for the demonic to re-enter (Galatians 5:19–24). Put them to death.

5. Develop a Lifestyle of Praise and Prayer
Clap, shout, sing, dance, and pray in tongues (1 Corinthians 14:14).
Pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). When you're filled with praise, there's no room for the demonic.

6. Stay in Fellowship with a Bible-Based Church
Stay plugged into a local church. God created us to thrive in community, not isolation (1 Corinthians 12:7–14).
Submit to spiritual authority and fulfill your role in the Body of Christ.

7. Commit Fully to Christ Daily
Abide in Christ so that the fruit of the Spirit flows freely. Demons hate the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22–23).

Deliverance is not the end of the journey—it’s the beginning of walking in spiritual freedom. But after you’ve been set free, how do you keep your freedom?

The Bible is clear: demons don’t just leave and forget about you. They return to check if the house (your soul) is still empty. If you aren’t filled with the Word of God, worship, prayer, and ongoing spiritual growth, the enemy may try to bring even more torment the next time. That’s why maintaining your deliverance is crucial.

These powerful steps are based on teachings from Pigs in the Parlor by Frank and Ida Mae Hammond, foundational voices in deliverance ministry.

Ephesians 6:10–18 outlines the spiritual armor every believer needs. Wear it daily:

• Truth around your waist

• Righteousness as your breastplate

• Peace on your feet

• Faith as your shield

• Salvation as your helmet

• The Word of God as your sword

• And prayer in the Spirit

Watch your thought life—this is the battlefield! Most demonic attacks begin as lies or negative thoughts. Guard your mind and reject the enemy's suggestions immediately.

Words have power—life and death are in the tongue (Proverbs 18:21). After deliverance, stop confessing the negative. Speak the Word. Speak life. Declare victory, not victimhood.

You can’t walk in freedom without being filled with the Word. It is your sword and your sustenance:

• A mirror to your soul (James 1:22–25)

• A lamp to your path (Psalm 119:105)

• Living food for your spirit (1 Peter 2:2, Matthew 4:4)

Old habits die hard. Break ungodly patterns by surrendering daily to Jesus.

Praise silences the enemy (Psalm 8:2). Don’t wait to feel like it—praise is a weapon!

Lone sheep are the enemy’s easiest prey.

Total surrender keeps you anchored. Every thought, word, and action should reflect Jesus.

💡Remember: If the enemy tries to return, and you are filled with God’s presence, he’ll find a “NO VACANCY” sign at your door.

After deliverance, keep yourself clean daily:

• Plead the blood of Jesus over your mind, body, and spirit

• Repent of any new sin or compromise

• Forgive everyone, including yourself

• Renounce self-bitterness, self-condemnation, and curses

• Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you afresh

“Teacher, I brought my son to You, for he has a deaf and dumb spirit…”

This powerful passage reveals more than a boy’s struggle—it unveils a spiritual stronghold many are battling today without even realizing it.

Jesus recognized and rebuked the deaf and dumb spirit, commanding it to leave and never return. This spirit manifested as epilepsy, seizures, and muteness. But Jesus, with full authority, set the boy free. That same freedom is available for you or your loved ones—today.

What is the Deaf and Dumb Spirit?

The deaf and dumb spirit blocks spiritual ears and suppresses the believer’s ability to hear the Word of God, stifling faith and revelation. It’s a demonic force operating in both the physical and spiritual realms—keeping people bound in ignorance, powerlessness, and infirmity.

It’s often partnered with religious spirits, aiming to trap people in rituals without transformation.

“Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of Christ.” — Romans 10:17

Recognizing the Spirit in Action

The deaf and dumb spirit often manifests as:

🔥 Physical Symptoms (Epilepsy)

• Seizures, convulsions, unconsciousness

• Foam at the mouth, grinding teeth

• Stiffness, sudden collapse

• Strange sensory experiences

• Frequent accidents (fire, drowning)

🧠 Emotional & Spiritual Effects

• Detachment, sleepiness in prayer (Matt. 17:15, Luke 22:45)

• Dullness of hearing God’s Word (Heb. 5:11-13)

• Spiritual stupor—blind to truth (Rom. 11:8)

• Persistent doubt, unbelief (John 8:43,47)

• Emotional numbness, inner ear issues, suicidal thoughts

These are not simply medical issues—they can be spiritual in nature, passed through generational lines by occult involvement or sin.

The Root: Generational Occultism

The entry point for this spirit is often occult involvement in the bloodline. Whether witchcraft, Freemasonry, or false religious practices, unrepented sin allows demonic footholds.

Children may unknowingly suffer under ancestral curses. Without deliverance, this spirit may follow individuals into adulthood, wreaking havoc on their lives and faith.

But God has made a way of escape through the power of Jesus Christ.

Deliverance is the Answer

It takes more than prayer—it takes Holy Spirit-led deliverance to fully expel the deaf and dumb spirit. Renouncing occult roots, breaking generational ties, and speaking truth in faith are essential steps to freedom.

Even if this has passed down through generations, you can be the one to break the cycle.

“You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” — John 8:32

God’s Remedy is Yours

Declare the Word. Speak with faith. Claim the promises of God:

• Romans 10:17 – Faith comes by hearing.

• Isaiah 50:4 – He awakens my ear to hear.

• Psalm 85:8 – I will hear what the Lord says.

• Job 33:14 – God speaks again and again.

• Luke 7:22 – Jesus brings good news.

Closing Prayer of Authority

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I declare that Jesus has already defeated satan through His death, burial, and resurrection. By His authority and His blood, I break every power of the deaf and dumb spirit over my life and household.

I rebuke and command it to leave now! I speak freedom, healing, and the restoration of hearing—physically and spiritually.

I am a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ, and I walk in His victory. I declare, I am free in Christ Jesus!

Signs of Spiritual Attack In Your House

Be Aware of Cursed Objects: How to Cleanse Your Home Spiritually

Have you ever felt unexplained oppression, fear, or strange occurrences in your home? Perhaps you've unknowingly brought something into your house that carries a spiritual curse. Cursed objects—items linked to false gods, witchcraft, or idolatry—can open doors to demonic attacks. Even seemingly innocent statues, souvenirs from foreign countries, or gifts from well-meaning friends can be spiritually hazardous.

The Root of the Curse

According to Proverbs 26:2, "...a curse causeless cannot come." Every curse has a legal cause. This is why God commands in Exodus 20:3-5:

“Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image… for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God…”

God’s Word is clear: bringing abominable items into your home gives legal right to demonic oppression.

Teresa's Story: A Cursed Object from Mexico

Years ago, my parents brought me a straw mask from Mexico. I felt something was off—it carried a heavy, dark presence. I placed it on my outdoor grill to burn it, but it wouldn't catch fire. Suddenly, the grill exploded. Only after I cut it up did the atmosphere change. That experience taught me firsthand how serious cursed objects can be.

Signs of Demonic Activity Linked to Cursed Objects:

• Strife and arguing in the home

• Unexplained voices or sounds

• Nightmares or paralysis during sleep

• Doors or drawers opening and closing

• Items disappearing and reappearing

• Cold or hot spots

• Seeing shadows or figures

• Pets behaving strangely

• Unexplained illnesses

• Persistent financial problems

• Children experiencing fear or nightmares

• Electrical disturbances (TVs, lights, radios turning on/off)

• Foul smells or an oppressive atmosphere

• Seeing something from the corner of your eye - like something moved, or flash of light, etc.

If you’ve experienced any of these, your home may be under demonic influence caused by cursed objects.

Scripture Warnings About Cursed Items

God repeatedly warns us to avoid accursed things:

“The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire… for it is a cursed thing” (Deuteronomy 7:25–26).

Other scriptures: 2 Kings 23:24, Deut. 13:17, Joshua 6:18, Joshua 7:1. These commands aren’t just ancient rules—they're safeguards for your soul and family.

What Are Cursed Objects?

Here are examples of spiritually dangerous items:

• Idols, masks, and statues of other gods

• Zodiac signs, tarot cards, Ouija boards

• Books from cults or occult authors

• Dreamcatchers, voodoo dolls, crystals used in New Age rituals

• Certain video games, rock/rap music promoting ungodliness

• Objects used in fortune telling

• Statues of Mary, crucifixes, saint statues used in worship

• Peace signs (inverted broken cross), pentagrams, Masonic symbols

• Items associated with Freemasonry, witchcraft, or satanic practices

What to Do: The Deliverance Process

1. Identify: Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any cursed items.

2. Remove: Destroy these objects—don’t sell, gift, or donate them.

3. Cleanse: Pray a spiritual house cleansing prayer.

4. Repent: Ask God’s forgiveness for bringing cursed things into your home.

5. Renounce: Break all legal rights the enemy has gained.

6. Replace: Dedicate your home to the Lord. Invite His presence to dwell with you.

“Neither give place to the devil.” (Ephesians 4:27)

It’s time to close the doors and windows the enemy has used to enter.

Deliverance Ministry article

Father God of Israel, in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Your Son I, together with other intercessors in South Africa, petition You for the following about survivors of ritual abuse (SRAs) and carriers of cult programming (CCPs):

1. Protection for myself as an intercessor, my family, my relationships, my possessions, my finances, etc. (name specific things of importance). I petition You to protect me through the spiritual armor according to Eph 6; through the power of Your Name according to Matt 12:21, Matt 18:55, and Ps 144: 1-2; through Your angels that will form a hedge around me (Ps 91; Heb 1:14); through the Blood of Jesus Christ Your Son, and through Your Holy Fire. I petition that You protect me, and everything mentioned is linked to me against principalities, powers, wicked spirits in the air, human spirits, worldly systems, and organizations, any form of energy sent against me, light waves, sound waves, cosmic energy, powers from the earth, powers from the planets, stars, moon and sun, of other galaxies, powers from the waters, powers from under the earth, powers from the realms of the dead or from hell or any other form of power not mentioned but applicable (Rom 8: 34-39; Ps 140; Ps 148).

2. Protection for my church, the pastors leaders, and members of the church. I petition that You protect my church against the same powers mentioned above. I petition that You protect my church against the plans of Satan that he wants to orchestrate through SRAs and CCPs.

I petition You Father, in the Name of Jesus Christ Your Son, that SRAs and CCPs can not be used as weapons by Satan and his servants against my church. I petition You that SRAs and CCPs be delivered and healed by Your power and grace.

3. I petition for the rebirth of every SRA according to Eze 36:26-27 (spiritual rebirth). I petition that the true identity of these people, as designed by You, Our Father, will be reborn and will be able to grow and mature ("psychological rebirth") as part of the restoration of the soul of the person. Many rituals and mind-control techniques include psychological death - the true identity of the person must die.] I petition that the true identity will be protected by Your Presence, Love, Mercy, and Divine Healing Power (Ps 18: 2).

4. I petition that every SRA and CCP that is part of my church, my city, my country, or in the world, be delivered from the power of Satan, Lucifer, the beast, the anti-Christ, and the false prophet. I petition that they will be delivered from cosmic powers (sun, moon, stars, planets, galaxies, heavenly, and any other cosmic power not mentioned but applicable), territorial spirits, water spirits (the sea, the rivers, etc.), powers from the earth, powers from the mountains, powers from the realms of the dead, powers from hell, and the specific demons assigned to keep their programming in place. I petition that all other demons or human spirits that are part of their systems be expelled or dealt with by You at the right time and in the right manner (Eccl 8: 5-6). I petition that their demonic armor will be penetrated by Your Power and Love and be removed at the right time and in the right manner and be replaced by Your spiritual armour.

5. I petition that all things that are written up with regard to the SRA and CCP in my church, city, country, and world in the heavens, between the stars, on the earth, under the earth, in the waters and the waters under the earth - every place of secrets - be wiped out and deleted by the power of the Blood of Jesus and the power of Your Word - be it covenants, plans, oaths, vows or any other kinds of secret.

6. I petition that every SRA and CCP's mind will be filled with Your light; that Your Truth will set them free; and that the wrong beliefs will be exposed, deleted, and replaced by Your Truth; and that their hurt, fear, and anger will be resolved so that they can become whole. I petition that the delivery and healing process will occur at the proper time and according to the procedure (Eccl 8: 5-6).

7. I petition to establish Godly spiritual structures of protection for every SRA in my city, country, and the world. I petition that these structures will come into place through the Body of Christ, that laborers for this harvest will be raised, and that Your Name will be Glorified through this.

I counter-petition every hex, curse, spell, and any form of magic (white, black, red, green, etc.), incantation, ritual, or any other kind of activity from Satan, his demons, or his servants in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

We thank You, Father, in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. AMEN.

Is Graphology Handwriting Analysis of God or New Age Modalities? He was a psychologist that is a type of new-age practice outside of God's help.

• Founded by Jean-Charles Gille-Maisani stated in 1991 that Juan Huarte de San Juan's 1575 Examen de ingenios para las ciencias was the first book on handwriting analysis
• Around 1830, Jean-Hippolyte Michon became interested in handwriting analysis. He published his findings.
• Graphology is known as  "the science of the future" despite graphologists rejecting his results.
• It was used to assess personality and job performance.
• Is it practical to know a person's character? Not really

Steps to Take to Discern if it lines up with God's word or not. It is discerning the good and the evil. We need to ask God for the gift of discernment and the characteristics of modalities. 

• Who founded this modality, or what culture did it come out of?
• What was his/her spirituality, their god or gods?
• How does it claim to work, and their beliefs in the practice?

Are You Overcomplicating Deliverance?

Too many believers view deliverance through the dramatic lens of Hollywood, shaped by films like The Exorcist or The Conjuring. These stories have fueled fear, confusion, and even avoidance when it comes to spiritual freedom.

In reality, deliverance isn’t always dramatic. It’s not a show. And no, Christians cannot be possessed. But they can be oppressed, tormented, and bound by unclean spirits that take advantage of unforgiveness, trauma, generational sin, or rebellion.

In simple terms, Christians cannot be possessed, that is, totally controlled by an ‘unclean spirit’ means bothered by, ‘in bondage to,’ demonic forces. Deliverance is basically to repent and renounce personal sins that a person can be in bondage, generational sins blocking spiritual success, traumatic events, and more that can leave. 

What Is Deliverance, Really?

Deliverance is the process of being set free from demonic influence. It's about closing open doors and allowing the Holy Spirit to rule every area of your life. At its core, it involves:

• Repentance – turning from personal sin

• Renunciation – cutting ties with sin, generational iniquity, and occult involvement

• Breaking strongholds – dismantling lies and thought patterns that oppose God

• Casting out spirits that no longer have a legal right to stay

Christians are temples of the Holy Spirit, but that doesn't mean they’re immune from spiritual warfare. Paul reminds us in Romans 7:23 of the law of sin warring within our members. Oppression is real — and prayer for deliverance brings the breakthrough needed.

Biblical Truth: Who Can Truly Know the Mind?

Let’s go straight to the source—God’s Word. Over and over again, Scripture declares that only God knows the secrets of the human heart:

• Psalm 44:21 – “Shall not God search this out? For He knows the secrets of the heart.”

• Romans 2:16 – “God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ.”

• Hebrews 4:13 – “All things are naked and open to the eyes of Him…”

These verses clearly establish one truth: Satan cannot read your thoughts. He is not omniscient, omnipresent, or omnipotent. Those attributes belong to God alone.

Where Do Our Thoughts Come From?

Thoughts come from three sources:

1. God – Speaking through the Holy Spirit

2. Your Soul – Your will, emotions, and human reasoning

3. The Enemy – Demonic spirits suggesting lies and temptations by throwing fiery darts.

Demons can't read your mind, but they do study your behavior, speech, and patterns. They whisper lies, hoping you’ll agree with them and give them legal access.

But praise God—you have power through Jesus Christ to reject those lies and dwell safely in His Secret Place!

Why Satan Couldn’t Stop Jesus (or You)

Think about it:
If Satan could read minds, the entire plan of redemption could have been foiled.

• The wise men would’ve been intercepted.

• Paul would’ve been caught escaping in a basket.

• Jesus could have been murdered as a child.

But they were hidden in God’s divine protection—the Secret Place. And you can be too.

“He that dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”
— Psalm 91:1

What Is the Secret Place?

The “Secret Place” is not a physical location—it is your intimate relationship with the Lord. It’s where you’re spiritually concealed from the enemy’s reach.

Let’s break down Psalm 91:

• Verse 2 – He is your refuge and fortress.

• Verse 3 – He delivers you from traps and disease.

• Verse 4 – His truth is your shield.

• Verse 5–7 – Protection from fear, war, and death.

• Verse 9–11 – No evil will touch you because His angels guard you.

Psalm 91 is your spiritual fallout shelter in battle. When you remain in His presence, the enemy can’t touch your thoughts, heart, or calling.

What About When I Hear Demonic Thoughts?

Good question. Demons plant thoughts in hopes you’ll accept them as your own. That’s why some demonic voices “sound” like your inner voice.

But they don’t come from within you—they come from outside you.

You have the authority to:

• Reject those thoughts in Jesus’ name. Cast it down according to 2 Cor. 10:5.

• Replace them with Scripture.

• Resist the devil, and he will flee (James 4:7).

God’s truth is your weapon. His Word guards your mind like a fortress.

Final Truth: You Are Hidden in Christ

Satan and his demons are not all-powerful. The enemy only gains access when we speak out loud, agree with his lies, or open doors through sin.

But in Christ, you are:
✅ Covered by His blood
✅ Sealed with His Spirit
✅ Hidden in the Secret Place
✅ Surrounded by angelic protection
✅ Empowered by God's Word

Let’s Declare Together

🙏 “Lord, I dwell in Your secret place. I reject every lying voice of the enemy. Hide me under the shadow of Your wings. I trust You, and I believe Your Word. Amen.”

The Hidden Roots of Reflexology: A Christian Perspective

Have you ever considered the spiritual origin of reflexology? While this practice has gained popularity in wellness circles, few understand its deep roots in Taoism and Buddhism—religions fundamentally opposed to the Christian worldview. As believers, we must discern the spiritual influences behind such practices before engaging with them.

What Is Reflexology and Where Did It Originate?

Reflexology is a practice rooted in ancient Eastern philosophy. Similar to acupuncture, it is believed that energy (referred to as chi or ki) flows through the body along meridians or channels. When this flow is blocked, sickness is allegedly said to occur. Reflexologists apply pressure to specific areas of the feet, believing it can clear these blockages and restore health.

The practice gained popularity in the West through Dr. William H. Fitzgerald in the early 1900s. He introduced the idea of “zone therapy,” dividing the body into ten longitudinal zones. Later refined by Eunice Ingham in the 1930s, she developed foot charts indicating which parts of the feet correspond to organs and systems in the body. From there, reflexology gained popularity and attracted high-profile followers, including Princess Diana and Margaret Thatcher.

The Spiritual Roots of Reflexology

To understand reflexology's spiritual implications, we must explore its foundation in Taoism—a pantheistic religion that does not believe in a personal God. Taoism teaches that all things are permeated by Tao and its spirit, chi. This energy flows through twelve meridians in the body, categorized into YIN (female, passive) and YANG (male, active). Reflexology seeks to balance these energies to achieve healing.

This belief system denies the sovereignty of God and instead attributes life and healing to impersonal energy forces. The chi energy described in reflexology is spiritual in nature—and not the Holy Spirit. The Bible warns us not to participate in practices that invite demonic influence: “Do not give the devil a foothold” (Ephesians 4:27).

The Dangers of Hidden Spiritual Influences

Reflexology and other similar New Age therapies, such as acupuncture, aromatherapy, yoga, and therapeutic touch, promote philosophies that rely on manipulating spiritual energy for healing. These practices present a counterfeit healing that bypasses the need for Jesus Christ, the only true Healer.

Many Christians unknowingly expose themselves to demonic influence by participating in these therapies. Terms like “universal energy,” “magnetic fields,” or “natural vibrations” may sound harmless, but they camouflage spiritual deception. Behind these innocent-sounding practices lurk dark forces opposed to the Kingdom of God.

Diagnosis and Treatment According to Reflexology

Reflexologists claim they can diagnose illnesses by examining and pressing specific points on the feet. Sensitivity in a foot area allegedly indicates a problem in a corresponding body part. Treatment involves massaging those pressure points to remove energy blockages and restore health. But consider this: if healing doesn’t come from God, then where does it come from?

Even if temporary relief is experienced, the source must be examined. The enemy can offer counterfeit blessings to deceive and entrap. God’s Word reminds us that Satan can appear as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14).

A Summary of Reflexology’s Spiritual Conflict

1. Rooted in Taoism and Buddhism – Reflexology shares its foundation with acupuncture, both depending on the flow of chi energy.

2. New Age Philosophy – Balancing YIN and YANG is a spiritual act that contradicts the truth of God’s Word.

3. Adapted to Western Appeal – The original 12 meridians were changed to 10 zones for compatibility with the foot’s anatomy.

4. Miniature Body Theories – The concept that your entire body is reflected in your feet is a Taoistic-Buddhistic belief.

5. Dangerous Rebranding – Terms like “magnetic rays” or “earth’s energy” mask the demonic nature of these influences.

How to Break Free Through Christ

If you’ve participated in reflexology or similar practices, it’s not too late. Jesus offers freedom and healing. Renounce any spiritual influence connected to reflexology, repent, and invite the Holy Spirit to restore you. Deliverance is available for anyone seeking to walk in freedom from New Age and occult ties.
