Osteopathy: Hidden Occult Roots Christians Must Know

Osteopathy: Hidden Occult Roots Christians Must Know

Osteopathy: Hidden Occult Roots Christians Must Know

Osteopathy and the Occult: A Biblical Warning for Christians

Osteopathy has gained acceptance in both alternative and mainstream medical circles. It focuses on manipulating the musculoskeletal system to promote healing. But few Christians are aware of the dangerous spiritual roots of this modality. Behind the soothing hands of osteopathic treatment lies a dark spiritual origin that opens doors to demonic influence. This article exposes the truth about Dr. Andrew Taylor Still—the founder of osteopathy—and offers biblical insight and prayers for freedom.

The Founder: Andrew Taylor Still and His Occult Interests

Andrew Taylor Still (1828–1917), the founder of osteopathy, was not simply a physician seeking holistic health. He was deeply immersed in spiritualism, hypnosis, magnetic healing, and likely associated with Freemasonry. These are occult practices that directly oppose the Word of God.

Still believed the human body could heal itself through manipulation of bones and tissues to correct the flow of "vital energies"—a concept rooted in Eastern mysticism and magical thinking, not science. He taught that health was dependent on unobstructed flow of blood, lymph, and nervous energy, aligning more with occult energetic theories than biblical truth.

Spiritualism and Hypnosis: Demonic Gateways

Still publicly acknowledged that he was influenced by spiritualism, a movement based on communication with the dead, which the Bible forbids:

“There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch…”
Deuteronomy 18:10-11

He also experimented with hypnosis, another occult practice. Hypnosis is a form of trance induction that opens the mind to demonic suggestion and control, violating God's design for sober-mindedness:

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.”
1 Peter 5:8

These practices are not harmless. They are spiritual violations that transfer influence from demonic forces to unsuspecting individuals.

Freemasonry: A Satanic Brotherhood?

Some historians and researchers link Still to Freemasonry, a secret society steeped in rituals, blood oaths, and worship of a false light. Freemasonry has been widely denounced by deliverance ministers as a breeding ground for spiritual bondage, generational curses, and demonic pacts. If Still was a Freemason, it’s yet another serious red flag.

Why Christians Should Be Concerned

You may say, “But I only go to a licensed DO (Doctor of Osteopathy) for back pain or headaches.” The problem is not the use of physical therapy or massage itself, but the spiritual transference that can happen when we submit our bodies to a modality birthed from sorcery, necromancy, and ungodly philosophies.

Many believers report strange symptoms, recurring spiritual attacks, and even demonic manifestations after seeking treatment from alternative or energy-based practitioners. The enemy uses physical contact and submission of the will as legal grounds for affliction.

“Neither give place to the devil.”
Ephesians 4:27

When you submit your body to someone influenced by occult sources—especially unknowingly—you give the enemy access to your “gates” (mind, body, and spirit).

Signs You May Be Affected by Osteopathic Roots

  • Chronic health issues with no medical explanation

  • Spiritual confusion, torment, or sleep paralysis

  • Strange dreams or spiritual oppression after treatment

  • Sudden emotional breakdowns or fear

  • Feeling drained or “different” after visiting a DO

These are not coincidences. You may be suffering the consequences of occult transference.

Deliverance Prayers

If you or your ancestors visited osteopaths, participated in hypnosis, or engaged in spiritualism, it’s time to renounce these open doors.

1. Repentance:

"Father God, I repent for myself and my ancestors for participating in or submitting to osteopathy, hypnosis, Freemasonry, spiritualism, and all forms of occult healing. I renounce it in Jesus’ name."

2. Renunciation:

"I renounce all spirits of sorcery, infirmity, false healing, divination, and spiritual deception. I break all soul ties and demonic links with Andrew Taylor Still and any practitioners I’ve seen."

3. Command the spirits to leave:

"In the name of Jesus Christ, I command every unclean spirit that entered through these practices to leave me now. You have no legal right to stay. I am covered by the blood of Jesus."

4. Seal the door:

"Holy Spirit, cleanse me, heal me, and fill every area where the enemy was. I receive Your peace and healing according to Your Word."

Final Thoughts

Not every physical therapy is evil, but we must test the roots. The Bible is clear: what begins in darkness cannot produce godly light. Healing belongs to God (Exodus 15:26), not the philosophies of men rooted in sorcery.

If you’ve dabbled in osteopathy or other forms of occult medicine, seek prayer, break soul ties, and close those doors today. Jesus is your true Healer.

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”
3 John 1:2

Acupressure Roots

Is Acupressure Safe for Christians? The Hidden Dangers of Qi Energy Healing

Is Acupressure Safe for Christians? The Hidden Dangers of Qi Energy Healing

The Dark Spiritual Roots of Acupressure: A Christian Warning

Acupressure is often described as “acupuncture without the needles,” but what lies beneath this seemingly gentle healing art is spiritually dangerous for Christians. Acupressure originated in ancient Chinese medicine and predates acupuncture. It is rooted in the philosophy of Taoism, which promotes Qi (or "chi")—a mystical, invisible "life energy" said to flow through meridians, or energy channels, in the body.

This method involves pressing specific acupoints using fingers and thumbs to supposedly restore energy flow and balance, alleviate ailments, and promote harmony. While this practice has become increasingly popular in Western wellness circles, its spiritual foundation directly conflicts with biblical truth.

Acupressure and Its Eastern Variants

  • In China, acupressure is commonly practiced as tuina, a form of traditional massage.

  • In Japan, the earliest forms were known as anma, which later evolved into what’s now called shiatsu.

  • Some historical records also reference shin tao, possibly the oldest method of acupressure.

Despite the variations in name or technique, the spiritual principles remain consistent: manipulating unseen energy fields in the body—a belief system derived from Taoist cosmology, not from the Word of God.

Why Christians Must Be Cautious

Acupressure, like acupuncture, is not just a physical practice—it is deeply spiritual. Its foundation is built on pagan philosophy, where energy balancing is achieved through non-physical means and spiritual concepts foreign to Scripture.

While some practitioners may claim that acupressure is merely a physical method of relieving tension or pain, the intent behind the method matters. The concept of Qi energy is not scientific; it's spiritual. It's a belief system that denies the biblical model of creation, sin, and redemption.

Ephesians 5:11 (KJV)"And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them."

Even more troubling is the reality that acupressure ignores sin as a root cause of sickness. While the Bible tells us to repent, confess sins, and anoint with oil for healing (James 5:14–16), Eastern medicine focuses on energetic balance, completely removing God from the healing process.

James 5:14-16 (KJV)"Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church... and the prayer of faith shall save the sick..."

A False Path to Healing

The devil’s strategy has always been to distract mankind from the true source of healing—Jesus Christ. Acupressure encourages people to seek power and peace through energy manipulations rather than turning to the cross. This opens spiritual doors to deception, oppression, and demonic influence.

Many who engage in acupressure, Reiki, and other Eastern healing methods begin experiencing:

  • Confusion or spiritual apathy

  • Nightmares or sleep disturbances

  • Physical symptoms worsening after temporary relief

  • Increased interest in other New Age practices

  • Emotional instability or spiritual dryness

What may start as “natural healing” can become an entry point for spiritual bondage. Even if symptoms improve temporarily, the root spiritual problem remains untreated.

God's Healing is Sufficient

We must return to biblical principles of healing. Healing comes through faith in Jesus Christ, not through aligning one’s body with invisible energy flows or Eastern mysticism.

Psalm 103:2-3 (KJV)“Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases.”

No Christian should seek healing from systems rooted in paganism. When we pursue ungodly healing methods, we are rejecting the God of the Bible and turning to an idol—even if that idol is disguised as health, balance, or “natural medicine.”

1 Corinthians 10:20 (KJV)"But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God..."

Repentance Prayer

If you have participated in acupressure, acupuncture, or other occult healing practices, pray the following:

Heavenly Father,
I repent for seeking healing outside of Your will and turning to false, occult-based systems. I renounce all involvement with Qi energy, Taoism, and every healing practice rooted in darkness. I break every tie to ungodly spirits and command every spirit attached to these practices to leave me now in the name of Jesus Christ. Lord, cleanse me, restore me, and heal me by Your blood alone. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
