How to Pray When Under Spiritual Attack: Signs, Scriptures & Warfare Strategies

recognizing Spiritual Attacks and Defeating Witchcraft in Jesus’ Name

Have you or your children been experiencing night terrors, unusual animal appearances, or sharp body pains with no medical explanation? These signs often indicate witchcraft attacks or satanic interference. As believers, we must discern the times and fight spiritual battles with spiritual weapons (2 Corinthians 10:4).

Common Signs of Spiritual Attack

Family disturbances: Screaming children in the night, nightmares involving dogs or masquerades chasing you, strange voices, physical marks appearing on the body overnight (Job 33:15-18).
Children’s behavior: Lying, cruelty to animals, sexual behavior at a young age, stealing, or destruction can point to demonic influences or generational curses (Proverbs 22:6, Ephesians 6:12).
Personal afflictions: Dreams of eating, attending unknown meetings, or sexual encounters can be signs of involuntary initiation into witchcraft through soul ties or ancestral practices (Isaiah 8:19).

Even many believers under attack have not fully submitted their lives to Christ. James 4:7 declares, “Submit to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

Demonic Manifestations and Their Effects

The enemy works in darkness through various spiritual tools to afflict God’s people:

Satanic Marks/Codes: These are invisible marks placed by demons to track and torment victims across locations.
Satanic Timetables: Repeated miscarriages, business collapses, or illnesses at specific times are often connected to witchcraft cycles (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8).
Demonic Arrows: Sudden sharp pains or organ failure can stem from spiritual attacks that defy medical explanation.
Witchcraft Altars: Secret or hidden shrines in a home where curses are activated using photos, clothing, or even names (Exodus 34:13).

You are not helpless. Jesus Christ defeated all powers and principalities (Colossians 2:15), and in His Name, you too can walk in freedom.

Why Do Attacks Succeed?

Unforgiveness, unconfessed sin, and broken spiritual hedges are open doors (Ecclesiastes 10:8, 1 Peter 3:7). Many people are unknowingly carrying objects or practices (tokens) connected to witchcraft—gifts, idols, or personal effects that need to be destroyed.

Do not fear the enemy (2 Timothy 1:7). Instead, develop a fervent prayer life. God sends His angels to protect those who fear Him (Psalm 34:7).

Deliverance Prayer Strategy Against Witchcraft

Praise & Worship (Psalm 149:6–9)
Confess sins – sexual immorality, bitterness, occult exposure, prayerlessness, and unforgiveness (1 John 1:9)
Plead the Blood of Jesus 3x (Revelation 12:11)
Destroy Witchcraft Objects – If you have any physical tokens, remove and burn them (Acts 19:19)
Sanctify your home and body – "I plead the blood of Jesus over my house and every room."
Shut every demonic door – “I shut every spiritual door opened to witches and demons in Jesus’ name.”
Break Curses & Codes – “I break every satanic code, mark, or curse placed on my life and family by fire and the blood of Jesus.”
Reverse Satanic Timetables – “Every program of failure, death, and affliction—be canceled by the name of Jesus!”
Cancel Satanic Networks – “Let confusion enter the camp of witches and occult agents in Jesus’ name (Luke 11:17).”
Release Angels – “Father, send Your warrior angels to tear down witchcraft altars and rescue what belongs to me (Hebrews 1:14).”

Declare boldly:
🗣 “I am seated in heavenly places with Christ, far above all principalities and powers!” (Ephesians 2:6)

Prayer Declarations

“Holy Ghost fire, strike every satanic coven where my name or image is being used!”
“Every arrow fired into my body, I command you to come out now in Jesus’ name!”
“Lord, recover my stolen health, finances, marriage, and peace in Jesus’ name!”

Demonic Entry Through Ancestry and Witchcraft Exposure

If you or your ancestors have dabbled in divination, idol worship, or consulted witch doctors, you need targeted repentance and deliverance. The consequences travel through bloodlines (Exodus 20:5). These include:

Chronic illness without cause
Repeated relationship failures
Fear, depression, and suicidal thoughts
Mental fog and inability to focus

Break these ancestral chains by declaring:
🔗 “I disconnect myself from every generational curse and covenant by the blood of Jesus!”

Stand in Your God-Given Authority

Scripture tells us:

Luke 10:19 – “Behold, I give unto you power… over all the power of the enemy.”
Isaiah 54:17 – “No weapon formed against you shall prosper.”
Romans 8:37 – “In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”

Conclude with Praise and Victory

Thank the Lord for your deliverance. Begin to declare His Word daily to build faith and block future attacks.

🛡️ Declare daily: “Christ in me, the hope of glory. No evil shall come near my dwelling” (Psalm 91:10).

30 BIBLE PASSAGES ESTABLISHING MY STANDING IN CHRIST Every believer needs to know who he is in the spirit. Most prayers against witchcraft are said with a different mindset, hence yielding little or no results. If memorized repeatedly, the following scriptures have the power of creating faith in you. Scriptures to destroy the works of the enemy along with psalms against spiritual attack.

1. John 1: 12- Having believed in Christ and accepted him as my Lord and Personal Savior, I have the right to be called a child of God.

2. Acts 13: 39- In Christ Jesus, I have been justified from all that I could not be justified from by keeping the law.

3. Eph 2: 8-9- It is not by my works or personal effort that I have been saved. My salvation is a gift of God's grace through Christ Jesus.

4. Rom 8:1-2- There is no condemnation for me because I am in Christ Jesus. The law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death.

5. Rom 3:24- I have been justified free through the redemption I have received through the death of Christ Jesus.

6. 1 John 5: 4- It is through my faith that I have overcome the world.

7. Rom 10: 13- (Shout Jesus Christ 3x) because I have called the name of Jesus Christ, I have been saved from Satan power and sin. 8. Rom 8:

9- Because I have the spirit of Christ in me, I now belong to Christ.

10. 11 Cor. 5: 17- Physically I may seem like the old person but now I am a new creature- all old sin, failure, shame, bondage, disappointment etc. have passed away. I have entered into a new life of victory. 11. 1 John 4: 4- There may be a million demons in town, but Christ Jesus that is in me is greater than he that is in the world.

12. Rom 8: 11- because Christ Jesus is in me there is abundant healing for my spirit, soul, and body.

13. 1 Cor 6: 19-20- I am God's property through the Lord Jesus Christ. I am not an abandoned property, so Satan cannot touch me.

14. 1 Cor 3: 16-17- I am temple of Christ, anything that try to defile me must be destroyed by Holy Ghost fire- I am incorruptible, I can not be defiled, I can not be polluted, because the Holy Spirit is in me.

15. Col. 1: 27- I have an established hope because Christ Jesus is in me.

16. Col 3: 3- because my life is buried in Christ and Christ in God, any attempt to yoke me by magic mirror, crystal ball, magical water etc. will be disastrous. Jesus Christ will appear there, and thunder will strike them.

17. 1 Cor. 1:4 God's grace to excel, triumph, live a holy life and prosper has been made available to me in Christ.

18. 1 Cor. 1: 5- In Christ I have been made rich in every way- in speaking, in knowledge and wisdom. It is already manifesting in me.

19. 1 Cor. 1: 8- I have no fear of backsliding, failure or premature death because in Christ Jesus, God has promised to keep me strong.

20. 1 John. 4: 13- I know I live in Christ and he lives in me, because of the presence of the Holy Spirit in me.

21. 1 John 4: 17- As Christ walked victoriously on this earth, so I am walking victoriously, because as Christ was on earth so I am now.

22. Luke 10: 19- Christ has given me the same authority he used on earth to trample on snakes, scorpions and every power of the enemy, nothing shall by any means hurt me.

23. 1 John 5:11-13 because I believe in Christ, I have eternal life. This eternal life in Christ Jesus who lives in me.

24. Eph 3: 16 I am being daily strengthened with power by the Holy Spirit who dwells in me.

25. Eph 3: 17- I am being daily rooted, I am being daily established, and Christ is dwelling in my heart through faith.

26. Eph 2: 6 I have been raised with Christ to sit in the heavenly realms, far above principalities and powers.

27. Gal 1:15-16 God set me apart right from the womb of my mother, he called me into his service and today he has began to reveal his son Jesus Christ in me.

28. Gal 4: 19 Christ is being formed in me. I will eventually emerge with more significant works.

29. Rev 12:11 I overcome the evil one by the blood of Jesus Christ and the testimony of his death, resurrection and ascension.

30. Heb 13:12 I am a saint, made holy by the blood of Jesus Christ.

31. Heb 1:14 I have angels at my service because I am an heir of salvation through Christ Jesus
