✒️ The Occult Dangers of Mirrormancy – Mirror Divination Exposed
Mirrormancy, also known as mirror divination or scrying, is an ancient occult practice where mirrors are used to gain supernatural insight, contact spirits, or supposedly reveal the future. While it may appear harmless or mysterious, its roots are demonic, and it opens doors to spiritual bondage, especially for Christians or those with ancestral ties to the occult.
🔍 Origins and Spiritual Roots
Who founded it?
There’s no single founder. Mirrormancy was practiced across many ancient cultures, including Babylon, Greece, Egypt, and African tribal religions. It is a core method of divination—which God explicitly forbids in Scripture.
What culture and belief system did it arise from?
Mirrormancy stems from pagan belief systems that saw reflective surfaces (like water or polished stone) as portals to the spirit world. The Greeks used a form called catoptromancy (mirror prophecy), and shamans in Africa and the Americas used mirrors to contact ancestral spirits.
Spirituality and gods involved?
Most mirror practitioners either invoke pagan deities (like Hecate or Hermes in Greece), ancestral spirits, or unknowingly contact familiar spirits—which are actually demons in disguise (Leviticus 19:31).
🚫 Why Christians Must Avoid Mirrormancy
Even in subtle forms—like mirror games (e.g., "Bloody Mary"), spirit contact, or energy manifestation through mirrors—mirrormancy is an abomination in the eyes of God.

Deuteronomy 18:10-12 (KJV):
“There shall not be found among you... a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD...” -
Leviticus 19:31 (KJV):
“Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.” -
Isaiah 8:19 (KJV):
“And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep... should not a people seek unto their God?”
These verses condemn all forms of spiritual channeling, and mirrormancy is a direct violation of God’s Word.
🧿 Demonic Manifestations and Fruit
What happens when a Christian participates or has ancestral ties to mirror divination?
✅ Open Portals: Demonic spirits can enter through the mirror, especially if the person invites guidance or visions.
✅ Hauntings: Many report seeing shadows in mirrors, nightmares, or feeling watched.
✅ Mental Oppression: Anxiety, paranoia, or even voices can occur when under demonic attack.
✅ Sexual Night Visitations: Spirit spouses (incubi/succubi) can manifest as part of the curse.
✅ Bloodline Curses: If ancestors practiced witchcraft or divination through mirrors, the curse can travel down generations (Exodus 20:5).
✅ Children Affected: Children or grandchildren may experience unexplained fears, rebellion, or attraction to witchcraft.

Deliverance is available only through Jesus Christ. If you or your ancestors ever practiced mirror divination—even unknowingly—repent and renounce it today.

Even if you think it was a childhood game or "just fun," mirrormancy is NOT a game. Any object or ritual used to receive guidance outside of the Holy Spirit is illegal access in the spirit realm and will open the door to demonic oppression.
