Have you noticed you do some of the same things your parents did and said at one time or another you would never do that, but you catch yourself doing the same thing?

How about times of great trials and pressures in life, you find yourself hearing your beliefs that are opposite of God’s promises. You hear a voice saying to you “the Lord doesn’t love you”. During those times of hardship, have you ever felt like the Lord is silent and has abandoned you or feeling lost and can't find your direction? You hear another voice saying “He doesn’t care.” Are a lot of things going wrong in your life and you don’t know why? Do you feel like you are being crushed and pressed hard and loss your sense of peace and joy. How about your time of worship! Is it just not the same! You feel dry and cannot connect with the Lord. You say “where are you Lord.” It is typical that people are more prone to make sinful choices when they are in emotional pain. Sin is often an attempt at pain-managing behavior.
WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN?
Breaking strongholds of the mind sets on the flesh
There are many reasons! But one reason is that in
Romans 8:7
“because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God” and that is an area the Lord has to break called the independent spirit. WHY? So you won't become dependent on the flesh and starts the purification of the will and removing strongholds so that it may be merged with God's will and walk more in the spirit of the Lord.
Much of our negative behavior is greatly influenced by the knowledge stored in the mind as experiential knowledge (mental information derived from what we have actually experienced) and not from logical truth (data believed as truth but never realized through experience). Therefore, in order to act differently, we must be breaking strongholds by "renewed in our minds" (
Romans 12:2) Only the Spirit of the Living Lord Jesus can set us free of the lies we experientially believe as we take our requests for truth to Him.

It is God’s will for us to have intimate relationships with him and as believers we go through trials and tribulations which are in the Lord’s terms, times of purification. The heat is turned up and all the impurities such as wrong beliefs - strongholds of thinking, wrong foundational issues and trust issues come to the surface. These seasons can be fruitful by examine our lives because the word says to examine our hearts. The enemy is out to kill, steel and destroy (
John 10:10). He wants to rob us of our intimate relationship with the Lord. Unfortunately, there are many things that can block our relationship or hamper our walk with the Lord. So, we go through times of great pressure.
Unfortunately, we are more soulish than spirit. So God takes you through times to redirect you, bring healing, build character, perseverance. Through the pressure of trials or pressures is when we become oriented with our strongholds of thinking. We find out what we are really made of influenced and controlled by strongholds of thinking (demonic influences) that indwell in the soul area of our being. All of us live in a fallen world filled with brokenness, emotional scars, hurts and rejections. We are bound and imprisoned to many habits and thought patterns. When we are born again; we receive a new life and a new heart and are taken into His Kingdom. We take on His divine nature but we need to walk in the spirit. However, there are many areas in our life that have been destroyed by sin. These areas are in need of restoration and transformation.
HOW CAN THIS HAPPEN?
Lets compare the Temple in Jerusalem to our earthly bodies. The Temple in Jerusalem had three parts: Outer Court, Holy Place and Holy of Holies. The three compartments in the Temple correspond to man's tripartite being: body, soul and spirit. Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit" (
I Cor. 6:19 and
Matt. 12:22). The physical body is the Outer Court and is the seat of our five senses. Through our bodies we taste, touch, smell, hear and see. The Holy Place is the middle court that corresponds with our soul (mind, will, and emotions). The presence of God dwelt solely in the Holy of Holies the human spirit of man that corresponds to The Holy Spirit. The soul area is where strongholds (or demonic oppression or influence) are formed through traumas, hurts pain, rejection, etc. called flesh. Satan’s desire is to gain control of your soul (through your flesh) and turn you away from the Lord or get you to believe the lies because in …
Romans 8:5-8 "For they that are after the flesh do mind the things are the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind (our flesh or soul area) is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God."
Satan tries to get you to look at all the hurts so that it will fester and then have unforgiveness for the ones that hurt us and then it can turn into bitterness and separate us from God. Satan tries to convince us to hold onto the pain and that we can hurt others by not forgiving others. Satan tries to become independent from the Lord to deal with our issues in life. In God’s way of life, he wants us to surrender all to Him so that he can heal those areas and build a deeper trust in him and create testimonies in our lives.
HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN TO A CHRISTIAN?
Practicing Sin still creates bondage and can open one up to having little control over certain aspects in their lives. Through sin Satan have access into our lives. Why because it is the lies we believe? There are two ways that Satan has access into our lives. (1) intrusion and (2) legal ground.
Intrusion, is when Satan shoots his fiery darts into our lives. He runs in with thoughts and does what he can and then runs away. It is an attack from the outside. We have given him no place. He has not legal right to be there.
James 4:7-8 – “therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.”
Example, the flesh that says, "I desire such and such." The mind (intellect) says, "I think such and such." The will says, "I will do it, I can do it, I will not do it, or I just can't do it." The emotions say, "I feel such and such." The spirit is also there. The Spirit says, "You should do such and such." When this is happening, then we need to yield to the Spirit. We should say, "Not my will, but they will be done."
Philippians 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure". We should make our will the servant of the will of Lord and do His work by His power.
Satan wants to intrude into our life and get our attention off of God and on to him in order to stop our communion with God. Usually Satan attacks our mind with temptation and our will is activated to make a decision of right and wrong through our conscious. Sometimes those thoughts can be very intrusive or very settle.
So why does God allow intrusion from Satan? Without intrusion, like I said earlier, we would become independent and self-sufficient. When intrusion occurs, most of us focus on what is happening and on how the circumstances are making our lives less comfortable. When our focus shifts to this present world and off of God, we often begin to indulge in self-pity, anger, performance, works, we learn on our own understanding to try to fix our problems to regain our comfort.
God’s plan is for all of us to be tested and proven so that the character of Christ can be developed in us. God has given us spiritual armor to protect us from the enemy.
Eph. 6:13-18. Put on the armor of God everyday! The first was Intrusion, the Second way the enemy comes in is through Legal Ground.
Legal Ground
Legal Ground places where Satan has a right to be because I or someone else has given him that place.
Romans 6:16 – “Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you obey – whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness.”
1. Inner vows and judgments - Have you said at one time when growing up for example an alcoholic mother/father and said “I’ll never be like them and wham you are or you married someone who is an alcoholic.
2. Willful sin –
o Disobedience from God, which even include not honoring your parents - (
Deuteronomy 27:16)
o soul ties which is sexual activity outside of marriage
3. Curses:
a. Those spoken over you by others such as parents, or Self-inflicted by one's own words.
b. Physical objects (meaning objects that are cursed by someone else to cause evil effects on you and/or your family). Example. Voodoo, etc.
c. Curses from ungodly oaths and dedications/ungodly beliefs or having false gods (
Exodus 20:3&
4,
Deuteronomy 27:15. Maybe you made a blood oat with a friend growing up. How about being part of a sorority in college or how about being part of a club where you made secret oaths - The Masonic lodge for example.
d. Generations curses (sins of the forefathers that go down 3 to 4 generations, Deud. 5:9)
4. Unforgiveness – are their people in your life you have not forgiven? One way of knowing if there is still unforgiveness is when we avoid people. How about are there past sins you’ve committed and cannot forgive yourself where you’ve become the judge over yourself?
5. Emotional and physical trauma (pain). There are six areas of trauma: physical, emotional, sexual, verbal, mental and natural catastrophies (tornadoes, floods, hurricanes, etc.). Have you experienced trauma in your life? Have you dealt with the pain attached to these traumas?
All these above can create strongholds from the enemy to have a hold on you. Now let me explain how these work.
1. Inner vows
An inner vow is a determination set with deep emotion by the mind and heart into all a person’s being in early life in response to a person, experience or desire. It is a vow to oneself” (not to God).
A. Inner vows are based upon judgments that we make about another person.
Matthew 7:7 “judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the same measure you use, it will be measured back to you.” See also
Romans 2:1 and
Romans 14:4.
B. An inner vow is a vow made to yourself to be carried out by your efforts and your power. It is the work of the flesh and because of the trust in the flesh you are curses.
Jeremiah 17:5 “Thus says the Lord: ‘Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart departs from the Lord.
The distinctive mark of an inner vow is that it resists the normal maturing process. We do not “grow out” of them, though they are often totally forgotten. They bind us to a mindset of course of action that is fleshly and prevents our emotional or spiritual development in that area or relationship.
Inner vows make us like a train on its track: we cannot get off without breaking the vow. We have taken the control of our life from God and predetermined the way it will or will not be. Why! Because its an independence away from the Lord.
C. We are committed to what we confess. What we speak sets in action the carrying out of what we have confessed.
a. We will do those things we say we won’t. Perhaps not specifically, but in a related area or way.
b. We become like the one we judged and vowed against.
D. Example of common inner vows:
“I will never treat my children like that," “I will never be poor like my parents!” or “I’ll never be a drunk like my dad, etc.”
E. The results of inner vows may lie dormant for years until the right situation or person triggers them.
F. The most powerful inner vows seem to be those that involve judgment against our parents.
2. Willful Sin/Disobedience
Two ways to disobey: (1) when we do what God has told us Not to do – commission (2) when we do not do what God has told us to do.
The root of disobedience is pride and/or unbelief. See
John 5:4.
James 4:7 “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will fee from you.”
Disobedience = rebellion = open door for Satan. Disobedience is doing anything that Jesus would not do. We all understand disobedience. We just need to learn to obey. Any sin will lead to a stronghold (spiritual bondage). Whether it is an attitude such as pride, an emotion such as anger or an action such as lying. Sin is the main reason that demons get into or back into Christians. We are supposed to be filled with the Holy Spirit, and to seek the face of God. Paul said, "Nor give place to the devil." (See
Ephesians 4:27).
When people yield to particular sins often enough (when it becomes habitual and out of control) - even at the level of mental acceptance - demons can enter them or cause such a bentness to it that it is hard to stop, that means it becomes a stronghold (flesh area) and you become a slave to that sin or action that is against God.
Romans 6:16 “Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?"
3. Demonic Curses
Curses are the opposite of blessing is the calling down of evil on someone or something; to afflict; a judgment. The word “curse” is used 230 times in scripture! Curses exist and are very real even in this day and age. They are invisible block to healing, deliverance or salvation. Here are a few kinds of curses:
• Self-inflicted by your own words or to others. What that means is that God gives those words supernatural power and our words can have an effect on the mind, emotions, and even spirituality, thereby influencing the direction of a person toward life (Christ) or death (sinfulness). Speaking bad and negative things over your life can, and will, open the door for Satan to come in, and use your doubt (lack of faith) to attack you with the very thing you faithlessly speak over yourself, and that is most likely where people got the idea that words are so powerful all by themselves.
• Curses spoken by others or calling down of evil on someone or something. Your parents can speak the most severe curses, i.e. when they say, "He'll never change..." or "She'll turn out just like her mother," etc. because it affects your belief about yourself and the familiar spirits work to cause these lies to become true because you believe them to be true. Do you have words you hear play from your past?
• Cursed Physical Objects (positive or meant for evil) - example: communion, anointing oil, occult objects. Occult objects have been dedicated to demons (idols, artifacts, etc.). Any object associated with idolatry can bring demons into a person's life. We need to be careful about bringing back trinkets from third world nations that may be associated with gods, fetishes or magic in any way. Any object with supposed occultic power brings demons to the owner. If you believe you have a cursed physical object, then seek the Lord about anointing it or getting rid of the object. Many Christians do not realize that most masks are cursed objects. One way of knowing if the object is a representative of a false god. Share my story.
• Curses from ungodly oaths and dedications ungodly beliefs (
Exodus 20:3&
4,
Deuteronomy 27:15) - There could be numerous forms of these “destructive” oaths and dedications that are spoken by others over you... or by yourself. These curses could have been made before you were born. There is MORE witchcraft than most of you could EVER believe in which any family member has "legal rights" to speak over a grandchild, nephew, niece or other family members. (
Exodus 20:3-4 and
Deuteronomy 18:9-13 )
• Generational curses or Ancestral curses. These are sins/curses from the forefather that are past down three to four generations. Note: Illegitimacy is a curse that goes 10 generations. Often things we have done have compounded a curse from previous generations. Some curses are solely a result of our choices. Jesus has made provision for every curse to be broken through the cross. However we must realize that they are not AUTOMATICALLY broken just because we are Christians when we get saved because the curses are familiar spirits that reside in the soul and not the spirit. When you get saved your spirit becomes alive. Think about it if you have children! Every sin you commit can affect your grandchildren. Generational Curses give us a strong bent or propensity toward certain sins and bondages. We each were born sinners because of Adam’s introduction of sin to the human race. Four times in scripture God makes this statement: “I will visit the iniquities of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those that hate me.” See Scriptures: Deud. 5:9, Number 14:18,

A. The nature of a Curse (Kennedy’s)
a. The one word that sums up the effects of a curse is frustration,
b. This pattern of frustration may occur in various areas of our life, business, family, health and finances and will usually have negative effect on our personal relationships, and
c. There are two features of curses. Their effect is seldom limited to the individual and Once they are released, they tend to continue from generation to generation until something happens to cancel their effect.
d. The main attitude that brings curses is rebellion.
B. Here are seven indications of a curse:
a. Mental and/or emotional breakdown
b. Repeated or chronic sickness (especially if hereditary)
c. Barrenness, a tendency to miscarry or related female problems
d. Breakdown of marriage and family alienation.
e. Continuing financial insufficiency
f. Being accident-prone
g. A history of suicides and unnatural or untimely deaths.
C. Conditions for enjoying God’s blessings are - Blessings go for 1,000 generations.
We are told that if we obey all His commandments (teachings of scripture) that we will be blessed to 1,000 generations and that if we are disobedient we would be cursed to the fourth generation. Before proceeding further, see
Deuteronomy 28:3-13;
Deuteronomy 28:16-68;
Proverbs 26:2; and
Deuteronomy 30:19. That means, if a Biblical generation is 40 years that would be 40,000 years.
4. Unforgiveness of others and self (I won’t talk much about this since pastor did a sermon on this subject)
Unforgiveness is the refusal to let go or to excuse the debt owed by another or to lift it away. To hold on to an offense. Unforgiveness is not an option. It is a command. It is a primary mark of Christians. The Lord’s prayer we even pray that God will forgive us in the same way we forgive others. Unforgiveness brings prison, torment and bondage. You will loose your peace and be in the Dark Night of the Soul.
Matthew 18: 33-35 - Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you?' 34And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him.
35"So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses."
5. Emotional Trauma
Emotional Trauma are wounds and bruises to the heart through sudden physical injuries, emotional shock, or abuse that causes lasting damages to the psychological, spiritual or emotional development of a person. That demon may have a stronghold for years afterwards, producing irrational fears in a person at odd moments. Once we are aware of this, we will be more prudent about the kinds of things we let our young children watch, and we will also learn the importance of praising God instead of going to pieces when the storms of life strike. How can this affect our relationship with the father, it can build distrust or fear of men or even distrust in the Lord Jesus.
First we need to recognize our pain and identifying its source is the first step to being healed:
A. Two kinds of trauma
a. Some of our pain is due to our wrong response when others hurt us out of their insensitivity or ignorance. And some comes when we wrong others who then strike back at us out of their pain. Hurting people hurt people – healed people heal people.
b. Those that we had no part in making (ex. rape, molestation, abandonment, abuse, torture, brainwashing, etc.) Sexual abuse causes more demonization than all the others combined. Sexual abuse is the ultimate violation of the person. Pain is sometimes buried deeply and the only evidence is unexplained or abnormal anger, depression, fear, anxiety, shame, insecurity, irrational unbelief, self-pity, etc. Unfortunately, most of the trauma comes from family or those close to us. Some trauma is caused by natural disasters, crime, war, etc. which is another way the enemy can have a stronghold on victims who suffer from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) because of the trauma they suffered. There are wicked people in Satanism that purposely abuse children to split their minds to create other personalities to do evil for Satan. These people are survivors of Satanic Ritual Abuse (SRA’s). There is hope, the Lord can Supernaturally heal the emotional wounds by the power of God is absolutely essential to take away the ground of the enemy.
A. The wounded heart is an opening for the enemy to introduce lies that then keep us in bondage to past pain.
God has made provision for us to be made whole -
Isaiah 61:2-3 - To proclaim the favorable year of the LORD And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn,
To grant those who mourn in Zion, Giving them a garland instead of ashes, The oil of gladness instead of mourning, The mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting. So they will be called oaks of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.
Only God can heal the emotionally hurting person either and/or through deliverance/inner healing or just being in His presence. The Lord will restore what has been lost. He is the restorer! God can put any life back together. Amen!
Joel 2:25 “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust…”
BUT… Satan’s trap is for you to remain a victim, and keep you a slave to him to not reach your purpose or destiny in Christ. He does this by showing us lies and then we get mad at God and blame Him for what has happened when we need to get made at Satan. We live in a fallen world but we can allow, through the Holy Spirit, to become victors in Christ. Our responsibility is to come to Jesus and give him your pain and ask him to heal you no matter how impossible it looks or how deep your pain. There is no pain so deep that God can’t heal. The enemy wants you to believe that your pain is so deep that the Lord cannot heal you when He can.
All the five items I explain create strongholds:
Stronghold: “Literally, a place of fortification; a system of thinking contrary to the word of God which allows demonic spirits to hide and work in our lives undercover.”
Satan exalts arguments as barriers against the knowledge of God and he holds us in bondage with fear, bluffs and lies. Just as he deceived Eve, he deceives us.
A stronghold is a mental pattern of thought revealed in un-Christ like behavior. Strongholds have their origin in the first consideration of a temptation or lie. As one acts on the lie, the lie begins to take root. Repeating the habit, in this case believing the lie about a sinful act, can create a stronghold in the mind. This stronghold can dominate the thinking of a person. It can lead to other destructive patterns of thought as the stronghold is interwoven in the brain with other thoughts and memories of the fathers produce iniquities or weakness towards certain types of sin.

Once a stronghold is established, the enemy influences us in our attitudes and actions, and also distorts our perception of God, other people and situations, causing us to misperceive situations to the detriment of relationships. He is out to destroy relationships, whether it is our relationship with God or with other people. If you were abandonded, abused, or rejected as a child by your father and strongholds of rejection or fear were established, you will probably struggle in your relationship with God as your "Abba/Father" until those strongholds are brought down. You will not likely be able to perceive of Him being a loving Father who is compassionate, attentive, interested in you, concerned about the details of your life and wanting to listen you your heart, one who has good plans for you... you will not likely think of Him in terms of a Daddy who wants to hold you in His lap or go for a walk together hand in hand, or who smiles at you with a heart of love and thinks you are His precious beloved child. You will be more likely to think of Him in terms of one who is severe and demanding, one whom you must work hard to please, or whom you can never please or delight. The demonic strongholds keep us from receiving the love and truth of God.
It is said that repeating an act for just six weeks makes it a formidable habit. Through these strongholds, Satan uses demonic spirits or otherwise known as familiar spirits:
(1) Deceive the mind, (2) Enslave the will, (3) Frustrate, harden and damage the emotions, (4) Afflict the body, (5) Defile the spirit.
II Timothy 1:7 “Fear is must more than being afraid.” Scripture says “Men’s hearts fail them because of fear.” This is heart attacks—stress, tension, anxiety.
During the trials/tribulations can be a place of knowing that the Lord is in control of our lives during tribulations and trials and also during times when the Lord is exposing areas of our soul. We can rest in the fact that He loves us so much and wants us free from the bondages in our lives that truly can hold us prisoner.
In
Romans 5:3 “And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; 4 and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; 5 and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.”
Ask the Lord what strongholds you might have and go to him to heal you and show you truth. It is the truth that sets you free. It is the lies we believe or disobedience we do that holds those strongholds in place. Seek the Lord to expose and dispel the lies producing this pain so people can choose to walk in the truth they know more easily.

1. Spirit of Infirmity –

16 – Allergies, arthritis, asthma, bent body/spine, bleeding, cancer, chronic diseases, colds, diseases, disorders, epilepsy, feebleness, fungus infections, hay fever, heart attack, impotent, infections, lameness, lingering physical trauma, lingering spirit, madness, paralysis, paranoia, physical disorder, senility, sinusitis, spirit of death, torment, virus, weakness, etc.
2. Spirit of Fear –
II Timothy 1:7 – Fear of any of the following: abandonment, anxiety, worry, faithlessness, fright, inadequacy, inferiority, insanity, nightmares, performance, phobias of all kinds, rejection, fear of rejection, self-rejection, shyness, tension/stress, timidity, torment, fear of death, fear of failure, fear of men/women, fear of poverty, fear of success, fear of authority, etc.

5. Spirit of bondage –
Romans 8:15 – Addictions to: alcohol, caffeine, cigarettes, drugs, food (anorexia, bulimia, etc.), medications (above and beyond prescribed use), nicotine, possessions. Compulsive behavior, control, coveting wealth in order to hoard it, dominance, dominated by others (soul ties*), drivenness, etc.
Ungodly soul ties is the knitting together of two souls that can either bring tremendous blessings in a Godly relationship or tremendous destruction when made with the wrong persons. Soul-ties are the product of a wrong agreement between two people. Wrong agreements usually appear to hold a promise of some kind of benefit for each person involved. When a person has sex outside of marriage, then you have created soul ties with this person. You can become soul tied to family, friends, co-workers and the leadership you are under. When a person who is bonded to another is governed by impure motives or the desire for selfish gain, the soul tie between them can enable (make able) that selfish one to manipulate and abuse the other. A person can actually control another through soul ties, because the minds of the two are open to one another. In ungodly relationships these soul ties may place us in emotional and mental bondage to others and causing us to do and say things to our own hurt. Soul ties are ungodly bonds formed between the souls of people for the purpose of control, manipulation or domination. This bondage can be from sexual sins, adultery, controlling parents, spouses, pastors or friends. This can also be a psychic or telepathic link between the controller and other persons. Some Christian workers say that this is a telepathic link between the person and the controller, which give the controller continual information about the person. Through this link, a controller can know everything about a person without ever visiting them. This is operated by a spirit of witchcraft and is demonic. The bondage of control between people is easy to identify. These soul bonds or ties bind people's souls together. It will have an influence on the person until it is broken. This evil control can continue even after they become Christians. It must be brought to the cross.
These soul ties will continue to pull people back into sin or bring them under the control of other people. Often a child is tied to a parent by an invisible, ungodly soul bond. This child will never be free to live a life of their own. They always have to rely on mother or father to make decisions or direct their lives. This is like an invisible umbilical cord connecting the controller to the person. Because of this psychic or telepathic link, the controller knows when the soul bond is threatened and will actively work to strengthen it. This may go on for generations. This is the use of soul power. This is bondage. It is devilish and powered by demons. It will require the use of spiritual warfare by the minister and the counselee to gain their freedom and to stay free.
God does not want us to dominate others. Neither does God want us to have control over our spirit or souls in any ungodly manner for our own pleasure or power. (See notes on astral projection). We are to renew our minds with God's Word, and bring our will into submission to God and His laws. We are to exercise self-control over our minds, wills and emotions. This is the way we take dominion over our flesh and crucify it.

7. Spirit of Perverseness –

9. Spirit of Deaf and Dumbness –
Mark 9:25-27 – Accidents, accidents by burning, accidents by drowning, blindness, convulsions, crying, deafness, destruction, dumbness, ear problems, emotionlessness, epilepsy, eye diseases, fear of fire, fear of water, foaming at the mouth, gnashing of teeth or grinding of teeth, infections (chronic), inner ear problems, insanity, lunatic behavior, madness, motionless, pining away, stupor, sensing `the approach of death’, stupors, suicide thoughts and attempts, tearing, uncontrolled convulsions.
10. Spirit of Heaviness –
Isaiah 61:3 – Broken hearted, rejected person with continual sadness, crying, death, defeatism, dejection, despair, despondency, discouragement, escape, false burden, fatigue, gloom, grief, unjustified guilt and/or shame, heartache, heartbreak, hopelessness, hurt, hyperactivity, inner hurts, insomnia, laziness, lethargy, listlessness, loneliness, morbidity, mourning, negativity, restlessness, self-pity, sleepiness, sorrow, spirit, suicide, tiredness, torment, troubled spirit, weariness, wounded spirit*, etc.
Wounded Spirit – A wounded spirit comes as a result of a re-action to negative words, events, actions, or a violation of your person or rights – a re-action that crushes you, knocks you down and from which you cannot seem to rise. It crushes an area of your life – your spirit – which is quite devastating in how it affects us. It seems we cannot heal ourselves of a wounded spirit. We need someone else to release it in positive, believing prayer. “The words of a man’s mouth are as deep waters” (
Proverbs 18:4). “Death and life are in the power of the tongue . . .” (
Proverbs 18:21). A wounded spirit brings down. It never lifts us up. Satan knows this. He wants us down! The Good Samaritan is a good example of knowing how to lift up the wounded. He knew what to do. He knew to pour in “the oil and the wine.” Why? He identified with the wounded man’s condition (
Luke 10:25-37). Samaritans knew what rejection was, as “the Jews had no dealings with the Samaritans” (
John 4:9). The man was restored. A Wounded Spirit can be caused several ways:
Usually a wounded spirit comes from our parents in how they treated us.
1. BETRAYAL - This is indeed a very hurtful thing to work through, especially a betrayal of confidence. To be betrayed means “to disclose a secret or confidence treacherously; to break a promise, or be disloyal to a person’s trust; to disappoint the expectations of. Can you imagine the feelings you would have if betrayed? The rejection you would feel or the feelings of not being important? 2. FALSE ACCUSATIONS - From time to time there are people who, for various reasons, have delight in making false accusations. 3. DIVORCE - This is another “biggie,” especially as it is so rampant in society today. 4. RELATIONSHIPS CUT THROUGH A DEATH - The loss of a close loved one, relative or friend, can be a devastating blow. 5. SEXUAL IMMORALITY - Sexual immorality is a breeder of wounded spirits. Perhaps more people get wounded in this area of human relationships than anywhere else? 6. REJECTION FROM LEADERS - Church authorities - and other Christians. We have such high expectations of Leaders that when they fail us, or especially knock us back, or overlook us, it is easy for us to get discouraged and wounded. Here the client or person will need to work through forgiveness, and check for any vows or judgments and work through them to get their complete healing.
Rejection – things to look for - From the Womb. From the Womb some are under Rejection. There is also Rejection from Father and Rejection from Mother. Rejection from the Womb enters the fetus before birth. Conceived in lust, and the Bastard curse which goes 10 generations, enters at the moment of conception out of wedlock. With them comes the Curse of Bastard and Lust. (
I Tim. 2:8-15;
2 Peter 3:7). When a person has been Rejected from the Womb, spirits of lust, Whoredom and Sensuality will enter. = Rejection from the Womb opens the door to Harlotry. Rebellion works Rejection. With Rebellion also comes Hatred, Anger, Bitterness and others. You can cast out other demons, but you MUST seek the root of the problem, and often this is Rejection. Ask the lord to send fierce Warrior angels to force out all door keepers and root spirits. Have them chop out those roots and pull them out, along with the door keepers, to make a clean sweep. (

13. Spirit of Stupor (Slumber) –
Romans 11:8 – an attitude of deadness towards spiritual things.
Mark 9:17-29, constant fatigue, draws back from life, *human spirit asleep, wish you had never been born, passivity, procrastination, success blocked.
Human spirit asleep (or slumbering spirit). The father is the one that wakes up the spirit of a child. Also if a child is separated at birth for a period of time and does not have interaction then most likely the child did not bond* with the parents then their spirit is most likely asleep (these children will grow up feeling unattached to anyone and will have behavior and/or criminal behavior and they will have addictive behavior as well – they can also be OCD, they also had a history of illnesses). Some people’s spirits have never been drawn to life, because since birth because of a lack of physical nurturing, human touch, loving relationships, his spirit is not kept awake thus never becoming a full functioning entente. A condition in which the personal spirit has not been fully awakened, so that certain facets of the person's life simply lie dormant. Symptoms: When you are in the presence of those who are worshipping, do you feel God's anointing or do you just know by faith that He is there?, In your private devotions, do you easily leap into the presence of the Lord and know He is there by feeling it, or does it run dry?, Are you able to hear the voice of God? Do you have spiritual dreams and visions? does god talk to you, or does it all run dry and God never talks to you?, When you are in conversation with somebody, can you easily tune in with them and feel what they feel, or do you have to use your mind to figure out where they are?, Is there no strength of character in certain areas of life, for example when a Christian man or woman can't seem to control their lust. They seem to some how justify their sexual activity whether it is fornication or adultery.
Bonding Issues – Children who experience interruption in the bonding cycle, who are unable to attach to their parents. If a child is not held, touched, caressed, talked to, played with, comforted, the infant learns to shut down. Slowly he learned not to feel the pain.
Children who have been adopted and/or you might have had a child put into an incubator and you were not able to hold or touch your child for a period of time and/or separated for a length of time. These children are afraid to love or trust. Can you imagine the lies they believe and how they have a hard time hearing from the Lord when they grow up? They will most likely find love through deviated sex. There spirit is asleep.

15. Spirit of Death or curse of death is not a root spirit but works with them –
Hebrews 2:14-15 – Although the Spirit of Death is not mentioned specifically by name in the Bible, there are a number of indications that death is more than just a condition or term. Terminal illness, Sting of death, Dark reaper, almost drowned, almost died at childbirth, accident prone, close to death situations in car wrecks, etc.
Why Christians should not participate in Yoga
Therapeutic practices such as new age techniques in meditation, yoga, subliminal tapes, and relaxation techniques should not be practiced by a Christian. Why not! The Lord says to fill our minds.

From some of the above scriptures, the Lord wants us to meditate on His precepts, His goodness, and on his words.
When you participate in Yoga or other relaxation techniques, the participant blanks out his mind and thus escape reality. Instead of escaping reality, we must discipline our minds to think about God, think about the scriptures, and talk to God. We must constantly evaluate what is happening to us and around us in the light of God’s word, which is our guidance and source of wisdom. There is a great danger in a tendency to empty your mind of all thoughts. If you don’t control your mind, Satan will! Never blank out your mind! A blanked mind is an open doorway for the entrance of demons.
Yoga is an often overlooked “doorway” to demons. The purpose of yoga is to “link” or “yoke” with the Hindu god Brahman. Yoga is not just physical exercise. It is impossible to separate yoga from the Hindu religion because yoga is religion. It is never taught without simultaneous teaching on meditation, mental health, etc. The purpose of kundalini yoga, for example, is to arouse and control the kundalini force. Kundalini literally means “coiled” and is the name of a Hindu goddess symbolized by a serphant with 3 ½ coils, sleeping with its tail in its mouth. This serpent supposedly resides in the body of the human near the base of the spine. When aroused with proper control it brings strength, power, and wisdom, also many psychic abilities, even abilities to miraculously heal. This kundalini force is none other than a demon. Kundalini yoga is widely taught in physical therapy departments for the reduction of blood pressure and a wide variety of other medical abnormalities. This is a demonic healing. Tantra yoga has become very popular in Europe and the Scandinavian countries, both in the medical field and with top corporate executives. Tantra yoga is pure Satanism right down to human sacrifice. Tantra yoga teachers talk a lot about various powers, vibrations, and energies, but all of these are, in reality, demons. Some yoga teachers are themselves deceived and do not realize that they are actually teaching the Hindu religion. We are all without excuse. So are the students. We must always search out all the things and be sure we know the exact meaning of all terms used in any area of endeavor.
One of the major scripture references to meditation is found in
Joshua 1:8 that says, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” The meditation that is referred to in this scripture involves active reading, learning and memorizing of God’s law given to the Israelites. At no time in the scripture is meditation something passive. Satanic meditation is passive. Satan wants men to blank out their minds, by attempting to clear their minds of all thoughts. This directly opens a door for demonic entrance and influence, because the simple fact is that God commands us to control our every thought, not blank out our minds. If you don’t control your mind, Satan will!
Because many New Age therapeutic practices are “doorways” to demonic powers, prayer is key in one’s relationship with God:
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all the Saints (
Ephesians 6:18). “Pray without ceasing (
I Thessalonians 5:17).”
“Therefore said he unto them, the harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth laborers into his harvest (
Luke 10: 2-3).”
We are indeed living in the “last days”. The Lord’s return is imminent. Multitudes of souls are in the valley of decision, and if we don’t take the offensive against Satan and his demons, then all those precious souls will be lost to an eternity in Hell.
WHY NOT PARTICIPATE IN DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS or OTHER FANTACY GAMES?
Dungeons and Dragons may seem to be harmless and very entertaining and it is entertaining, but far from harmless. I have had friends that have experienced the game and they now know know the effects of the game. For the majority of those that play it becomes a way to escape reality. It is a way of letting tension and anxieties loose. And that is good. But subjecting the mind to the amounts of violence involved isn't. It is far more bad than it is good. Especially to a young mind. And an 18 or 20 year old still has a young mind. Its effects are both mental and physical. It is in comparison to drugs, alcohol or tobacco. It is very possessive, addictive and evil. Evil may sound wrong or peculiar to explain a game, but there is no other way to describe it. It is a device of Satan to lure us away from God. It is an occult.
An occult you say? What is an occult? Defined in American Family and School Dictionary, a publication based on the American College Dictionary, prepared by Random House, Inc., it is: beyond the bounds of ordinary knowledge; magical; supernatural; mystical. Staying on the same subject let's define occultism: the doctrine or study of the supernatural, magical, imaginary, etc. Stated concisely it is the participation or involvement in any way with fortune telling, magic practices, spiritism, or false religions cults and teachings. Within that category is using a ouija board, ESP, telepathy, horoscope, a seance, yoga, remote influence of the subconscious mind of others, self-hypnosis, following astrology and Dungeons and Dragons. They are all connected with an occult or are considered occultism practice. All such occults are condemned by God in the Scriptures, being an abomination to Him and are under His curse. To quote a passage from an article written by Dr. Hobart E. Freeman, I write the following:
"The Scriptures condemn all forms of occultism as sorcery and warn that.... they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God" (
Gal. 5:19-21), but ".....are an abomination unto the Lord" (
Deut. 18:12), and ".... shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone" (
Rev. 21:8).
From earliest times God forbade occultism as spiritually defiling (
Lev. 19:31), and made participation in it punishable by death (
Ex. 22:18;
Lev. 20:27), and cause for rejection of that soul by God (
Lev. 20:6).
Dungeons and Dragons is based on magic and the supernatural. There is, in fact, a hard bound book entitled "Deities and DemiGods" for the sole purpose of informing you of the "gods" that are involved in the game. It gives complete details of the "gods" and it expects you as a player character to pick a "god" to worship him/her. To pray to, to sacrifice to, to obey. And to die for if necessary.
Not only is the game based on the supernatural and magic it involves violence. Serious violence! The type of violence not allowed on TV. There is hack and slash murder, rape, thievery, pillaging and terrorism. And in the game it is natural and expected for a character to do those things. A character must, at least, murder and rob in order to survive. And it is the object of the game to survive. To do whatever you must, to anybody or anything, in order to survive and become more powerful and wealthy. The more you do those things the longer you live. The longer you live the more powerful you become and usually with power comes wealth.
You may be saying, "All of that may be true, but what does that have to do with me (or my children)? It has everything to do with you (or your children) if you (or they) are involved in the game. As I have repeated several times the game is played or imagined entirely in the mind. Totally and only in the mind. The conscious mind experiences these visions as reality while playing. And if it is played, let's say, 3-5 times a week, 4-8 hours each time, the conscious mind becomes accustomed to such acts of violence. Then when the person is finished playing for that day, it is all pushed back to the subconscious supposedly. But it is known that the mind is very powerful and unexplainable. It is very possible for the sub-conscious mind to "overpower" the conscious mind. Suddenly you are no longer in total control of your mind. The "fantasy game" becomes a "reality game". You begin to live it for real. Everything you do, or say, involves or associates to the game itself. You no longer play the game for enjoyment, you play it because you feel you have to. You must have it (play it) just like a person on drugs, alchohol or tobacco must have them. It is an addiction. And your mind is under the control of the game. It is possessed by the game.
Now, you're probably saying that won't happen to me (or my children) because I won't let it happen or I'm too smart for that to happen. Believe me, it happens! And it happens to anyone. Being a deliverance minister, I have done deliverance on people that have participated in D&G. It has happened to my friends. It has happened to many college students that have committed suicide or have done some serious bodily harm to themselves and or others. It has happened to many younger teenagers, 13 and 14. The destruction it can cause to the mind and soul is incredible. It's rather unexplainable. I and many others have had some very bad experiences because of the game and I am writing too, on their behalf to warn or make you aware of the game. It is dangerous and against God's command.
There are as I've said numerous recorded accounts of teenagers 13 to 19 and some older persons that have had some troublesome experiences. Many have committed suicide due to the game. Another good many have either caused serious harm to themselves or other individuals. And some have caused the death of a friend or family member by accident, but because of the "game", they took the "game" one step too far. "Playing" it for real one time too many. For some it was the last time they played it or any other game. Many were lucky, but you may not be.
And the fact is, that you don't even have to be playing the game at the time. The mind is continuously "playing" the game. You could have played it 2 or 3 days prior, but your mind is still playing.
So, please for your own safety and salvation and the safety of others don't play the game anymore. If you don't play it now, don't even start. It is more dangerous than I can fully explain. Don't play with your physical life that way and don't condemn your soul to hell by participating in the game.
I know you said you are not a Christian. I’m surprise you are on this board asking such a question. You must of experienced something very negative or maybe you have had Christians telling you it is wrong. I’m telling you what I know cause it can lead to problems. I hope this helps answer some of your questions. Cause the more you play the more you become a SLAVE to it. It is very addictive.

Why Christians Should Not Listen to Rock Music
First, we have to look at the history. You said you are not a Christian so I will try to explain this to you. First, before man was ever on earth, there was an angel called Satan was created a beautiful musical creature: "...every precious stone was thy covering,...the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou waste created" (
Ezek 28:13). Since music was built into his very nature are we foolish enough to assume that he will not use it to deceive and enslave today?
As you read the history of rock and roll, observe how Satan brought in his rock music in the 1950's and slowly degenerated it to it's present level of baseness.
The New Testament has much more to say about the activity of Satan. In fact, all the biblical authors make some reference to the devil. He is called the evil one, the tempter, diabolos (the slanderer), the serpent, the dragon, and the prince of the powers of the air. The prince of the powers of the air! Does that mean the airways and such? Could that mean musical influence to pull people or keep people away from the Lord?

Jeremiah 32

The LORD of hosts is His name; recover themselves from the snares of the enemy, especially from sickness and disease, as well as get free from the clutches of the devil, especially mind control, curses, witchcraft, etc. I had a generational curse assignment of death, financial curses, and blocks from success in my life that activated every time I tried to get close to the Lord Jesus Christ.
