Saturnian Worship: Why It Violates God’s Word and Calls for Deliverance
Exploring the beliefs, gods, occult origins of Saturn worship, its dangers, and how Christians can be freed through repentance.
In our world today, many spiritual systems borrow from ancient pagan traditions — one of the most misunderstood is Saturnian worship. Some believe honoring Saturn (or equivalent figures under different names) gives access to power, legacy, or cosmic order. However, the Bible clearly forbids worship of false gods and idolatry. Worshiping Saturn is not neutral; it is spiritual danger and requires deliverance.
What Were Their Beliefs?
Saturn was a major god in ancient Roman religion, associated with agriculture, sowing seed, time, renewal, wealth, and cycles. Encyclopedia Britannica+1 Saturn’s mythology (as with Greek Cronus) includes ideas of age, temporal rule, harvest, sometimes darkness and sacrifice. Wikipedia+1 The Roman festival of Saturnalia celebrated him with revelry, inversion of social norms, gift-giving, feasting. Wikipedia There are occult or New Age offshoots that tie Saturn to astrology, hidden spiritual tests, karmic cycles etc.
Who Created the Idea; Culture & Country
The idea comes from ancient Rome, drawing also from Greek culture (where Saturn = Cronus). Wikipedia+1 Etruscan culture had a similar god “Satre” associated with Saturn. Wikipedia+1 Over centuries, through astrology, occultism, mysticism, some belief systems have revived or adapted Saturn worship.

Who Is Their God or Gods?
Their “god” is Saturn (Roman Saturnus / Greek Cronus / Etruscan Satre etc.) — a pagan deity, not the one true God of the Bible. The worship includes revering Saturn as a powerful cosmic force, sometimes equated with time, judgment, harvest, cycles, and even hidden or darker spiritual realms.
Purpose & Use of the Modality
Why is Saturn worship practiced / what is it used for?
To control cycles of life: time, age, seasons, maybe to influence fate or karma.
To test or endure hardship (they believe Saturn teaches through limitation or suffering).
To gain perceived spiritual authority or “wisdom” through occult knowledge.
Some see it as part of astrology, fortune telling, occult rituals, hidden mysteries.
If you are a victim (target) of someone else’s Saturn worship or occultism: you may be exposed to curses, spiritual oppression, generational strongholds from ancestors, or manipulation via occult symbols or rituals.
Why It’s Divination / Occult / Witchcraft
Worshiping Saturn falls clearly under idolatry and worship of false gods.
Calendar rituals, astrological associations, and rituals seeking supernatural favor are part of divination and occult practice.

Why People Might Get Involved
Cultural background, fascination with astrology, desire for hidden wisdom or power.
Desire to control destiny, cycles, suffering, or time; belief that Saturn’s influence can be appeased for advantage.
New Age spirituality, occult influencers promoting planetary worship, or mysticism with symbolic interpretations.
Why Deliverance Is Needed / How to Be Protected
If someone has been involved or influenced by Saturn worship:
They may experience spiritual oppression: fear, guilt, anxiety, curses, loss in finances, or generational patterns.
Protection comes through repentance in Jesus Christ, renunciation of false gods, forgiveness of those involved, cutting off curses or ancestral ties.
Prayer of deliverance should include confessing involvement, rejecting worship of Saturn/tools of occult or astrology. Ask for cleansing by the blood of Jesus, and plead God’s protection and authority.
