Proverbs 26:2 - As the bird by wondering...

A Curse Causeless Cannot Come - Proverbs 26:2

As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.

Many times, as I have been in Deliverance Ministry for many years, deliverance ministers and participants believe demonic spirits have a right to them at any time. In fact, they have to have permission before the demonic world can have a right to you.

What Am I Saying Here?

Curses can only havemust an effect on your life when you personally commit a sin contrary to the Word of God. Only sin opens the door for the enemy to demonically bind you. Also, not every curse your ancestors have committed opens the door, but there are familiar spirits who will tempt you with the same sins as your ancestors so that you will open the door for a curse to come upon you. That means there is a bent or stronger temptation to open that door to that curse. The demonic spirits will then try to perpetuate the curse for all remaining generations of descendants.

Some sins of your ancestors do enter the child in the womb at conception. The child enters life with this characteristic, which is demonic - such as self-hatred, unknown fears, bent toward rejection, or shyness. The world would say that the child inherited this characteristic from his ancestors. What was inherited was a demonic spirit passed down through the bloodline.

How to Keep From Getting a Curse!

If you don’t want the evil spirits to have authority in your life, you have to make sure any curses on you have been broken through deliverance and repentance. A curse can't land on you unless it has a cause. Fear and sin are basically the two leading causes that take the blessings out of your life. Sin definitely does that! When God says in the Bible to do something, and you say, “Well, I don’t feel like doing it, I'm not going to do it,” you have left yourself open to sin, which results in getting cursed. God will not let Satan cause us harm unless we leave a legal opening. The devil is a “legal beagle” (a legalistic being), and if you leave a legal opening for him to hit you, he will surely use it. It would be illegal to curse you without a cause. God would smash his head right in, and the day will come for that!

Today's society and the church have come to the point where we have made sin so acceptable or the Word is So Watered down. Another way of putting it is that churches today have cheapened grace to mean no punishment for unrepented sin. We say we are sorry but the church or our society really does not repent. Repentance means to turn away and change our actions. True repentance and confession of sin will allow God to protect us completely.

I thought All Curses Went with Jesus?

I thought when Jesus died he took the curse! Let's look at Revelation 22, the closing chapter of the entire Bible speaks to this very question.

Revelation 22:3

And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and his servants shall serve him: curses are still with us. What Jesus Christ accomplished on the cross was this: He gave every child of God the freedom to get out from under curses when we sin through repentance. You can see from Revelation 22:3, curses still exist and must be dealt with in the practical Christian walk. We are all going from Glory to Glory.

Lets look at Galatians 5:19-21

Galatians 5:19-23 (King James Version)

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

These are habitual sins where a christian chooses to follow their flesh over God's ways. When someone has a problem and continually repenting to God, then God's mercy is with us. He looks at the heart of a person. Unfortunately, our sins do open doors for the enemy to put curses on us, but through the blood through repentance does remove, and God gives us a strength through him to overcome. That is his promise to us.

No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

1 Corinthians 15:57
But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 2:10-11
If you forgive anyone, I also forgive him. And what I have forgiven—if there was anything to forgive—I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake, in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.

2 Corinthians 2:14(NKJV)
Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ.

Galatians 5:16-17
So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want.

Ephesians 4:22-24
You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

Ephesians 4:26-27
"In your anger do not sin": Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.

Ephesians 6:10-17
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

2 Thessalonians 3:3
But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.

2 Timothy 4:18
The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.

James 1:12-15
Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.

James 4:7-8
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

James 4:10
Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

1 Peter 5:8-10
Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.

1 John 2:12-15
I write to you, dear children, because your sins have been forgiven on account of his name. I write to you, fathers, because you have known him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I write to you, dear children, because you have known the Father. I write to you, fathers, because you have known him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God lives in you, and you have overcome the evil one.

1 John 3:8
He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work.

1 John 4:4
You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

1 John 5:3-5
This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, 4for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 5 Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

Revelation 3:21
To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne.

Revelation 12:11
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, if a Christian goes through deliverance and really does not repent for their sins and goes and does the sin again and that can be unforgiveness, they will get worse according to Luke 11:20-26 - the demonic spirits will see if you are truly filled with truth.
