What Is Metaphysics? Exposing the Spirit Realm Philosophy

🧠 What Is Metaphysics? Exposing the Spirit Realm Philosophy

🧠 What Is Metaphysics? Exposing the Spirit Realm Philosophy

Metaphysics Exposed: The Occult Spirit Behind "Higher Consciousness"

Metaphysics is not merely a branch of philosophy—it is a doorway into the spirit realm, cloaked under intellectual curiosity and human reasoning. The word "metaphysics" is derived from two roots: meta, meaning "beyond" or "above," and physics, referring to the natural, material world. Therefore, metaphysics seeks to explore what exists beyond the physical senses—the unseen, the supernatural, the spirit world.

While this might sound innocent or even scientific, metaphysics is often a gateway to occult belief systems that lure people into spiritual bondage through philosophical deception. This isn't just theory—it's a spiritual battle. That’s why it’s critical to discern what’s behind metaphysical teachings before embracing any of their practices.

πŸ‘‰ πŸŽ₯ You must watch the video on this page now to see how metaphysics opens unseen gates to demonic influence. Click the video and let the truth set you free.

🧐 What Is the Purpose of Metaphysics?

Metaphysics aims to answer life's deepest questions:

  • What is reality?

  • What is the nature of being?

  • What happens after death?

  • What is consciousness?

These questions, when pursued without the Word of God, open spiritual doors to false answers rooted in mysticism, idolatry, and New Age deception.

Many metaphysical frameworks suggest that human beings are divine, that God is an impersonal force, or that truth is relative. These lies are satanic counterfeits of biblical truth.

🧬 Discernment Questions Christians Must Ask:

1. Who Founded the Metaphysical Movement?

Metaphysical thought can be traced back to Aristotle, a Greek philosopher who succeeded Plato. He authored a collection of writings later titled Metaphysics by his editors. These ideas became the foundation of what we now know as metaphysical philosophy.

In modern times, metaphysical spirituality gained popularity through New Thought leaders like Phineas Quimby and Mary Baker Eddy (founder of Christian Science), and later through the New Age movement in the 20th century.

2. What Was Their Spirituality?

The founders of modern metaphysics embraced a mixture of Eastern religion, pantheism, Gnosticism, and esoteric Christianity. They rejected the biblical Gospel, instead promoting:

  • Self-divinity

  • Reincarnation

  • Spiritual healing by mind-power

  • Contacting spirits and ascended masters

This spirituality denies the Cross, the need for repentance, and the personhood of Jesus Christ as the Son of God.

3. What Culture Did It Originate From?

Metaphysical ideas stem from ancient Greek philosophy, Hinduism, Buddhism, and later merged with Western esotericism and Freemasonry. These cultures embraced polytheism, karma, and secret wisdom, all of which contradict God’s Word.

It later merged with modern psychology and science, producing dangerous hybrids like:

  • Quantum metaphysics

  • Energy medicine

  • Psychic therapy

These modernized terms mask what is essentially sorcery and divination in disguise.

4. What Are Their Beliefs?

Metaphysical practitioners believe:

  • Reality is created by thoughts

  • Man can manifest his own destiny

  • All religions lead to the same divine source

  • Enlightenment is the highest goal

  • God is impersonal or part of the universe (pantheism)

These beliefs directly oppose biblical truth. Scripture says the heart is deceitful (Jer. 17:9) and that there is only One Way to God—Jesus Christ (John 14:6).

5. Who Is Their God or gods?

Most metaphysical systems worship:

  • The universe

  • Self as god

  • Spirit guides

  • Ascended masters

  • The “higher self”

  • Or a non-personal force or energy

This is nothing less than idolatry. The Bible warns that the gods of the nations are demons in disguise (Psalm 96:5, Deut. 32:17). These spirits demand attention, worship, and loyalty—opening people up to demonic bondage.

⚔️ The Danger of Metaphysical Practices

Metaphysics often opens the door to:

  • Divination

  • Channeling spirits

  • Astral projection

  • Mind-over-matter doctrines

  • Kundalini awakening

These are not neutral practices—they are occult in nature. Practicing or believing in metaphysical principles without spiritual discernment can lead to demonic oppression or possession.

✝️ Biblical Response to Metaphysical Deception

The Word of God says:

“See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ.” — Colossians 2:8

Christians must test every spirit and every philosophy. Just because a teaching appears wise or deep doesn’t mean it’s godly. If it doesn’t lead you to repentance, the Cross, and obedience to Christ, it’s a deception.

Mesmerism: Unveiling the Occult Origins of "Healing Energy"

Mesmerism: Unveiling the Occult Origins of "Healing Energy"

Mesmerism: Unveiling the Occult Origins of "Healing Energy"

The Dangers of Mesmerism: False Healing, Spiritual Deception, and Demonic Influence

Mesmerism, also known as animal magnetism, is an occult healing method rooted in mystical ideas rather than biblical truth. Its deceptive influence has crept into many alternative healing practices today—often disguised as energy work, therapeutic touch, or even spiritual wellness.

But where did this practice originate? Who founded it? And what spiritual forces are truly at work behind it?

Let’s unpack the truth so you can discern the spirits and guard your gates.

The Founder: Franz Anton Mesmer

The practice of Mesmerism was named after Franz Anton Mesmer (1734–1815), a German physician who believed he could manipulate a universal magnetic fluid through his hands. Mesmer taught that this invisible force ran through all living things and could be harnessed to restore health.

While Mesmer began his work under the guise of science, it quickly became clear that his method had deep spiritual and occult roots. His sessions often involved trances, altered states of consciousness, and mystical experiences—not unlike many New Age or Eastern healing practices today.

Mesmer’s Spirituality and Cultural Roots

Mesmer's beliefs were not grounded in the Christian faith but were heavily influenced by esoteric philosophies, astrology, and Gnostic mysticism. He operated under the idea that the cosmos was interconnected by an invisible, universal force.

He believed that the sun, moon, and stars influenced the earth through this magnetic fluid, impacting tides, weather patterns, and the human body. His practice resembled ancient pagan systems more than modern medicine.

This cosmology mirrors the beliefs of the occult and New Age movements, which often claim that balance and healing can be achieved by aligning oneself with the universe or tapping into unseen energies.

In Mesmer’s case, this "alignment" came through the laying on of hands—not in the name of Jesus Christ, but through the manipulation of impersonal forces.

The Spiritual Reality Behind the Practice

As believers, we must understand that healing apart from God’s Spirit can open us to spiritual bondage. Mesmer’s technique did not operate by natural or divine power but by a counterfeit spirit—a demonic influence masquerading as light.

Mesmerism can bring about real sensations, emotional shifts, and even temporary healing. But such manifestations are not proof of God’s presence. Satan is a deceiver and counterfeiter who offers false healing to ensnare people into deeper spiritual captivity.

What God or Force Did Mesmer Worship?

Mesmer never professed faith in the God of the Bible. He did not attribute his power to Jesus Christ, nor did he operate under biblical authority. Instead, his theories centered around a pantheistic and impersonal “force”—a telltale sign of occult belief systems.

This force—supposedly flowing from the cosmos into humans—was treated with reverence and mystical awe. In other words, Mesmer promoted a form of worship toward creation, not the Creator.

Romans 1:25 warns:

"They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen."

Why Is Mesmerism Dangerous?

Mesmerism seduces people by offering healing without repentance, miracles without Jesus, and transformation without truth. This is the spirit of antichrist—subtle, seductive, and deadly.

Even today, you’ll see its influence in:

  • Reiki

  • Energy healing

  • Chakra alignment

  • Hypnotherapy

  • Therapeutic touch

Each of these practices claim to channel invisible energy for healing—but none rely on the power of the Holy Spirit or operate under the lordship of Jesus Christ.

Instead, they invite people to submit their bodies to foreign spirits, opening portals for demonic influence. That’s why discernment is critical. Not everything that feels good or brings temporary results is from God.

How Should Christians Respond?

If you or someone you know has been involved in Mesmerism or any related practice, repentance is the first step. Renounce the false power, break all agreements with it, and invite the Holy Spirit to cleanse your body, soul, and spirit.

Here’s a simple prayer of repentance:

"Father, in the name of Jesus, I repent for any involvement in Mesmerism, energy healing, or occult practices. I renounce the false power and break all ungodly soul ties with this modality. Cleanse me with Your blood, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. I receive healing from You alone, Lord. Amen."

Mental Telepathy: A Gateway to Demonic Communication Masquerading as Mind Power

Mental Telepathy: A Gateway to Demonic Communication Masquerading as Mind Power

Mental Telepathy: A Gateway to Demonic Communication Masquerading as Mind Power

In today’s society, more people are unknowingly engaging in the occult through practices they consider “natural” or “psychic abilities.” One of these is mental telepathy—defined as communication between minds without using the five physical senses. It is portrayed in films, science fiction, and even some modern psychological theories as harmless or even spiritually enlightened.

But the question we must ask is: What is the real source of this power? And more importantly, is it from God or the demonic realm?

🚨 What Is Mental Telepathy?

Mental telepathy is the supposed transmission of information from one person to another without using any known human sensory channels or physical interaction. In other words, it claims that one can read another’s mind or send thoughts to someone else's mind.

This is often confused with the biblical gift of discerning of spirits or words of knowledge, which come through the Holy Spirit and serve God's purposes. But telepathy is not sourced from the Holy Spirit. It comes from a counterfeit spirit—and it opens spiritual doors to demonic control.

🧠 Where Did Mental Telepathy Originate?

Let’s discern the spiritual origin of this modality by asking the following questions:

• Who Was the Founder of Mental Telepathy?

The practice of telepathy has ancient roots, but its modern terminology and promotion arose in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. One major proponent was Frederic W. H. Myers, a member of the Society for Psychical Research (SPR) in the United Kingdom, an organization deeply involved in spiritualism, sΓ©ances, and occult experimentation.

• What Was His/Her Spirituality?

Myers and his peers were not born-again believers. They openly explored communication with spirits of the dead, telepathy, clairvoyance, and automatic writing. Their spirituality aligned with theosophy, New Age beliefs, and Eastern mysticism—not Christianity.

• What Culture Did It Come Out Of?

Mental telepathy is traced back to ancient cultures such as:

  • Hinduism and Buddhism — where yogis claim to communicate through spiritual mind channels

  • Egyptian mystery schools

  • Native American shamanism

  • New Age and occult practices in Western culture

• What Were Their Beliefs?

The core belief in these cultures is that human beings have innate divine powers, a direct contradiction to biblical truth. They deny the need for Jesus Christ and rely on personal enlightenment, spirit guides, and energy frequencies—which are really demonic spirits masquerading as light (2 Corinthians 11:14).

• Who Was Their God or gods?

These belief systems worship false gods: Hindu deities, earth spirits, ancestral spirits, or no god at all (as in New Age energy doctrines). These are not the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, but rather demonic entities posing as benevolent powers.

🎯 What Is the Purpose of Mental Telepathy?

The purpose is typically:

  • To bypass natural human limitations

  • To receive “hidden” knowledge

  • To gain control or influence over others

  • To appear spiritually superior or “awakened”

This aligns exactly with Satan’s lie in the Garden of Eden: “You will be like God, knowing good and evil.” (Genesis 3:5)

Just like the Tower of Babel, mental telepathy is another method by which mankind tries to elevate itself without the authority or presence of God. Instead, they unwittingly partner with the demonic realm, opening themselves to mind-binding spirits, deception, soul ties, and witchcraft manipulation.

🧹 Discernment Through the Holy Spirit

If you’ve engaged in mental telepathy—whether through games, books, meditation, or curiosity—it is not harmless. Even if it “worked,” that’s not proof it was from God. Satan can provide real power—but at a deadly cost.

Here’s how to discern the source:

  • Does the power glorify Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior?

  • Does it align with the Bible or contradict it?

  • Did the practice begin with someone who worshipped God or false spirits?

  • Does it operate without the Holy Spirit?

  • Do you feel drained, confused, or mentally oppressed afterward?

If the answer to any of these is “yes,” you need deliverance and renunciation.

πŸ™ Renunciation Prayer

Heavenly Father, I repent for participating in mental telepathy and for seeking power or knowledge outside of You. I renounce every soul tie, spirit, and influence connected to telepathy, psychic powers, or occult communication. I shut every demonic portal I opened and command every spirit of witchcraft, mind control, confusion, and New Age deception to leave me now in the name of Jesus. Lord, wash my mind and spirit in the blood of Jesus and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Amen.

Mental Suggestion: A Christian Warning Against Manipulative Influence

Mental Suggestion: A Christian Warning Against Manipulative Influence

Mental Suggestion: A Christian Warning Against Manipulative Influence

Mental Suggestion: How the Enemy Hijacks the Mind

Mental suggestion is the process by which one person seeks to influence or control the thoughts, emotions, and behavior of another—often through subtle or subliminal cues. While it may appear harmless or even helpful on the surface, the roots of mental suggestion are deeply embedded in occult philosophies and spiritual manipulation. As believers in Christ, it’s vital to discern the source and spirit behind every practice we encounter. What seems like mere psychology or self-help may actually be a gateway to spiritual bondage.

What Is Mental Suggestion?

Mental suggestion is commonly found in hypnotherapy, New Age healing practices, NLP (neuro-linguistic programming), and even certain coaching or motivational speech techniques. Its goal is to bypass the critical thinking of the mind and plant ideas or behaviors directly into a person’s subconscious. This technique is often cloaked in phrases like “reprogramming the mind,” “influencing behavior,” or “creating new thought patterns.”

While positive thinking and behavior change are not evil in themselves, the method of suggestion often crosses a spiritual boundary that Christians should not ignore.

Origins and Spiritual Foundation

Mental suggestion as a modality did not originate from biblical principles. Instead, it traces back to ancient pagan cultures and occult practices.

  • Founder and Culture: One early developer was Franz Anton Mesmer, an 18th-century German physician who introduced “animal magnetism,” a forerunner of hypnotism. His practices were spiritual in nature, invoking invisible forces to manipulate energy in the body.

  • Spirituality: Mesmer's work was steeped in esoteric mysticism, believing that spiritual energies and universal forces could be controlled by suggestion. He was not a Christian but was aligned with New Age and Gnostic ideas.

  • Beliefs and Deities: Practitioners following his legacy often draw from Hindu, Buddhist, and occult sources, invoking energy gods, spirit guides, or the so-called “universal mind.” In short, the god behind these methods is not the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

This raises a serious concern: when someone uses mental suggestion, whose spirit is operating through them? What are they opening their mind—or your mind—to?

The Dangers of Mental Suggestion

  1. Opens Doors to Control and Manipulation
Mental suggestion is often used by individuals seeking to control others. Whether through hypnosis, guided visualization, or persuasive affirmations, the goal is to override a person’s will. This is a direct violation of God’s gift of free will and often mimics witchcraft—the use of influence to dominate or bend another’s will.

“Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft…” —1 Samuel 15:23

  1. Can Invite Demonic Influence
Because mental suggestion bypasses conscious thought and critical reasoning, it opens the soul to outside influence. When that influence is not the Holy Spirit, another spirit can enter. Many people report anxiety, confusion, fear, or torment after undergoing sessions of mental suggestion or NLP-based therapy.

  2. False Sense of Healing or Peace
Mental suggestion might bring temporary relief from emotional or psychological problems. But the root causes—sin, generational curses, or spiritual oppression—remain untouched. Only Jesus Christ can truly heal the soul.

Biblical Discernment and the Mind

The Bible makes it clear that transformation should come through the renewing of our minds by the Word of God, not by manipulation.

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…” —Romans 12:2

The Holy Spirit leads gently. Satan, on the other hand, pushes, manipulates, and deceives. Christians are called to be sober and vigilant because the enemy prowls around seeking to devour.

“Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God…” —2 Corinthians 10:5

Mental suggestion exalts the will of man and human psychology above the Spirit of God.

Modern Uses and Christian Compromise

Mental suggestion is popular today in corporate coaching, motivational speaking, and even some counseling practices. Terms like “visualize success,” “anchor positive feelings,” or “self-programming” are based on NLP and suggestion.

Unfortunately, many Christians unknowingly open themselves to these practices without recognizing their occult roots. Just because something is wrapped in a science-sounding package doesn’t mean it’s spiritually safe.

Deliverance and Freedom in Christ

If you or someone you know has been involved in mental suggestion, hypnosis, NLP, or related practices, there is hope. Jesus came to set the captives free. Repentance and deliverance are available.

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” —John 8:32

Renounce any involvement in occult mental practices, break any soul ties with practitioners, and seek healing through the Word of God and prayer. Deliverance ministry may also be needed to evict spirits of control, manipulation, or confusion.

Final Thoughts

Mental suggestion is not just a psychological tool—it is often a spiritual trap. As believers, we are not called to control others or be controlled, but to walk in freedom through the Spirit of God. Let the Holy Spirit guide you—not human techniques that bypass your will or invite spiritual darkness.

Jesus is the only true healer of the mind, body, and soul.

The Spiritual Deception Behind Mandalas: A Christian Warning

The Spiritual Deception Behind Mandalas: A Christian Warning

The Spiritual Deception Behind Mandalas: A Christian Warning

Mandalas have become increasingly popular in Western culture, often praised for their beauty, meditative qualities, and calming effects. They're found in adult coloring books, yoga studios, therapy offices, and even church "creative spaces." But where do mandalas come from, and what spiritual influence lies behind them?

As Christians, we are called to test every spiritual practice and symbol by the Word of God (1 Thessalonians 5:21-22). When we look at the origin and purpose of mandalas, it becomes clear they are not spiritually neutral. Instead, they stem from deeply rooted religious traditions that are incompatible with biblical Christianity.

What is a Mandala?

The word mandala comes from Sanskrit and means “circle.” It refers to a spiritual and ritual symbol in Hinduism and Buddhism, representing the universe. Mandalas are often intricate circular designs with geometric patterns and symbolic imagery. While they may appear harmless or artistic on the surface, their origins reveal a deeper and more spiritually concerning foundation.

Origins: Who Created Mandalas?

Mandalas originated in ancient Hindu and Buddhist cultures. There is no singular founder of mandalas, as they developed over time through spiritual teachings in the East. These religious systems used mandalas as sacred art intended to reflect the spiritual structure of the cosmos.

Spiritual Roots

In Hinduism, mandalas are linked to gods such as Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva, representing different aspects of creation, preservation, and destruction. They are used in Tantric rituals, which involve esoteric and occult practices.

In Buddhism, particularly Tibetan Buddhism, monks use mandalas in meditation to aid in visualizing spiritual deities and entering altered states of consciousness. The creation and deconstruction of mandalas, especially sand mandalas, is part of a ritual meant to reflect the impermanence of life.

What Were Their Beliefs?

These cultures believe in reincarnation, karma, spiritual enlightenment through self-effort, and communion with spirit beings—concepts that stand in stark opposition to the Christian faith.

Their gods are not the one true God revealed in the Bible, but false deities and demons masquerading as divine beings (1 Corinthians 10:20). Using tools connected to these practices opens the door to spiritual deception and potentially demonic influence.

Why Are Mandalas Used?

Mandalas serve as spiritual tools in Eastern religions. They are used for:

  • Meditation: To focus the mind and enter altered states.

  • Visualizations: Practitioners visualize deities or spiritual forces within the mandala.

  • Rituals: Especially in Tantric practices, mandalas are drawn, meditated upon, and destroyed to symbolize spiritual truths.

  • Healing and Enlightenment: Believed to balance energies and promote spiritual awakening.

In modern Western culture, mandalas are often used for therapeutic purposes, such as stress relief or mindfulness. But despite their new packaging, the spiritual roots remain the same.

Modern Deception: Mandalas in Western Culture

New Age spirituality has rebranded mandalas as tools for inner healing and balance. Therapists and life coaches might encourage clients to color mandalas as a way to reduce anxiety. Some Christian circles have even adopted them under the guise of “Christian meditation.”

But we must not be deceived. No matter how calming or pretty mandalas may seem, their spiritual DNA is occultic.

2 Corinthians 6:14-15 says, “What fellowship can light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial?” Using spiritually charged symbols from pagan religions puts believers at risk of opening doors to demonic influence.

What Does the Bible Say?

The Bible warns us repeatedly about engaging in pagan practices and incorporating foreign spiritual tools into our lives:

  • “Do not learn the way of the nations…” (Jeremiah 10:2)

  • “Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness…” (Ephesians 5:11)

  • “You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too.” (1 Corinthians 10:21)

Though mandalas may not appear overtly evil, they are spiritual gateways that can subtly draw individuals into false doctrines and occultism.

The Danger of “Christian Mandalas”

Some churches or Christian groups attempt to redeem mandalas by replacing their images with Christian symbols. However, this is spiritual syncretism—a blending of Christianity with pagan elements. God does not ask us to “baptize” foreign practices. He calls us to be separate and holy (2 Corinthians 6:17).

Testimony: A Warning from Experience

One woman began using mandalas during guided meditation classes. Though she was a believer, she felt they helped her connect spiritually and experience peace. But over time, she began having dark dreams, confusion, and spiritual heaviness. When she received deliverance prayer, the root was traced back to occult meditation and the use of mandalas. Once she renounced it and removed mandala art from her home, the spiritual oppression lifted.

How to Be Free

If you’ve engaged with mandalas—even innocently—repent and renounce them. Here’s a simple prayer:

Prayer of Repentance and Renunciation

Heavenly Father, I repent for participating in practices rooted in false religions. I renounce any involvement with mandalas, Eastern meditation, and New Age spirituality. I ask for Your forgiveness through the blood of Jesus Christ. I close every door I’ve opened to the enemy and command all spirits attached to these practices to leave me now in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Conclusion

As believers, we are called to walk in truth, not trends. The enemy often disguises his tactics in appealing forms. Mandalas are not simply art—they are spiritual tools crafted for purposes that oppose the gospel.

Do not be conformed to the pattern of this world (Romans 12:2). Instead, fill your mind with the Word of God, worship in spirit and truth, and invite the Holy Spirit to be your source of peace—not pagan symbols.

When a Christian engages with mandalas

—whether through coloring books, meditation, or visual art—they may unknowingly open spiritual doors to demonic oppression. Mandalas are not just cultural art; they are spiritual tools used in Hinduism and Buddhism to invoke deities, aid in meditation, and reach altered states of consciousness. When a believer participates in these practices, even out of ignorance, they invite spiritual contamination.

Symptoms can include:

  • Confusion or foggy thinking

  • Nightmares or spiritual attacks in sleep

  • Anxiety, depression, or emotional heaviness

  • Disconnection from God’s presence

  • Compulsive or obsessive thoughts during prayer or worship

  • Loss of interest in spiritual disciplines

  • Increased attraction to New Age or mystical experiences

These manifestations are evidence of spiritual defilement. The believer’s spirit may be oppressed by unclean spirits due to alignment with occult practices. Scripture warns us not to adopt the spiritual practices of pagan nations (Deuteronomy 18:9-12).

Deliverance may be needed to break ungodly soul ties, renounce the spiritual agreements made through the use of mandalas, and cast out spirits of divination, deception, and false peace. True healing comes only through Jesus Christ, not mystical symbols rooted in false religion.

Maleficium: A Christian ExposΓ© on Sorcery and Demonic Power

🧨 Maleficium: A Christian Exposé on Sorcery and Demonic Power

🧨 Maleficium: A Christian Exposé on Sorcery and Demonic Power

Below are symptoms if someone is using Maleficium against a Christian.

Maleficium—also known as malevolent sorcery—is not just folklore. It is the dark spiritual practice of invoking demonic power to harm others. Its name comes from Latin: male (evil) and facere (to do). It literally means "to do evil." But this isn’t just superstition or fantasy. It’s spiritual rebellion—sorcery performed with the intent to injure, curse, or destroy someone physically, emotionally, or spiritually. And the Bible speaks strongly against it.

God warns His people: “Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live” (Exodus 22:18). This article explores where maleficium came from, its spiritual origins, and why Christians must fully reject it. Plus—watch the video below to uncover the truth many won’t tell you.

πŸ” Where Did Maleficium Come From?

1. Who Was the Founder?

There’s no single person who founded maleficium. It emerged out of ancient paganism—Babylonian, Egyptian, Greco-Roman, and medieval European witchcraft. The Bible traces sorcery back to Babylon, the mother of harlots and abominations (Revelation 17:5). Nimrod, the great-grandson of Noah, is often associated with the beginnings of occult worship, including magical arts and manipulation through spiritual forces.

In medieval Europe, practitioners were known as witches, warlocks, and cunning folk. Many passed down their “craft” through generations. Maleficium was practiced in secret—through spells, incantations, potions, and demon pacts.

2. What Was Their Spirituality?

The spirituality behind maleficium is Luciferian. It is driven by rebellion against God, power-seeking, control, and pride. Practitioners do not follow Jesus Christ. They invoke spirits, often unknowingly entertaining demons or “familiar spirits.”

Their belief systems include:

  • Animism (spirits in objects or nature)

  • Polytheism (many gods or goddesses)

  • Occultism (hidden knowledge and spiritual power apart from God)

They reject God’s Word and rely on spiritual manipulation through rituals, curses, and enchantments.

3. What Culture Did It Come From?

Maleficium is deeply rooted in European and Near Eastern pagan cultures. In ancient Mesopotamia and Egypt, magicians were court advisors. In Greece, “pharmakeia” (sorcery using potions and drugs) was common—this is the same word used for “sorcery” in Revelation 18:23.

In the Middle Ages, maleficium became associated with Satanic witchcraft, especially during the rise of the Church’s persecution of witches. Many were accused of summoning demons, causing plagues, infertility, or death through curses.

But in every case, this practice operated through demonic power, not merely natural energy or “intuition.”

4. What Were Their Beliefs?

Those who practiced maleficium believed:

  • They could summon spiritual entities to do their will.

  • Curses and hexes could affect people’s health, relationships, and destiny.

  • Evil can be used for revenge, justice, or personal gain.

  • The spirit world is accessible through rituals, spells, and offerings.

They embraced lies from Satan—that they could be like gods, controlling outcomes through spiritual force. This is the same deception that led to Lucifer’s fall: “I will ascend…I will be like the Most High” (Isaiah 14:14).

5. Who Were Their Gods or Spirits?

The "gods" they served were demonic impersonators—fallen angels that presented themselves as deities of light, love, wisdom, or justice. Ancient names included:

  • Hecate (Greek goddess of witchcraft)

  • Isis (Egyptian goddess)

  • Hermes (Greek god of magic)

  • Pan (god of fertility and chaos)

In reality, these are demons who masquerade as light (2 Corinthians 11:14). Those who practice sorcery are unknowingly forming covenants with the demonic realm. These spirits gain legal rights to torment, deceive, and destroy.

❓ Why Was Maleficium Used?

Maleficium was used for:

  • Cursing enemies

  • Inflicting sickness or death

  • Breaking up marriages

  • Seeking revenge

  • Power, control, and manipulation

  • Protection from others’ curses

Even “white magic” often overlaps with malefic intent when used selfishly. The line between “healing” and “harming” is blurred in the occult. The source is the same—demonic.

Witchcraft is a counterfeit of God’s power. But unlike the Holy Spirit, the demonic always has strings attached. Those who seek sorcery open themselves to mental torment, chronic illness, relationship breakdowns, and even death.

πŸ“– What Does the Bible Say?

Scripture is clear:

  • “There shall not be found among you…a witch, or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.” (Deut. 18:10-11)

  • “The works of the flesh are…witchcraft...they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.” (Gal. 5:19-21)

  • “Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries…” (Rev. 9:21)

God hates sorcery because it turns people away from Him. It seeks to manipulate rather than trust, and opens the door to the enemy. Sorcery is rebellion—and rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft (1 Samuel 15:23).

πŸ”₯ The Good News: Freedom Through Christ

If you’ve ever participated in:

  • Curses

  • Tarot, spell books, or crystals

  • Revenge prayers

  • Herbal magic or rituals

…there is forgiveness and freedom in Jesus Christ!

Renounce every covenant with darkness. Repent before God. Receive deliverance through the blood of Jesus. He came to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8).

πŸ™Œ Prayer of Renunciation

Father, in the name of Jesus, I repent for every act of sorcery or maleficium I participated in. I renounce every spirit of witchcraft, rebellion, and manipulation. I break all legal rights of the enemy over my life through the blood of Jesus. Fill me now with the Holy Spirit. I receive your truth and healing, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
