Are You Truly Loving Yourself?

Are you HONESTLY Loving yourself?

The Unloving Spirit is the opposite of all God ordained us to be. The unloving spirits work to separate us from God, self, and others and then have us hate ourselves and believe that God loves others but not ourselves by barraging us with lies about who we are, what people think of us, and what God thinks of us.

These spirits are assigned to undermine our self-esteem and our ability to trust in a loving God. America, when asked these questions: "Do you love yourself?" "Do you like yourself"? - 70% replied "NO"! Matt. 19:19 is really clear what we are to do..(Commandment, not a suggestion). We are to love OURSELVES and then love others. You cannot give out what you do not have!

Please answer these questions honestly. No one but you and God can see them.

1. Do you love yourself?

2. Do you accept everything about you as God created you (your looks, your body, etc.), or do you wish you could change something about yourself? Did you know you are made in the image of God, and if you cannot accept your body, then you are slapping the Lord in the face, saying, "You made a mistake."

3. Do you accept yourself right now?

4. Are you mad at yourself and/or resent yourself?

5. Have you done something you cannot forgive yourself for in the past?

6. Are you in guilt and in self-condemnation?

7. Do you struggle with shame?

8.Do you harbor blame?

9. When you drop something, do you curse yourself with the words "I'm stupid", "what's wrong with me", I'm so clumsy"? That is a sign of an unloving spirit.

10. List how you feel about yourself and LIST all the things you don’t like about yourself. For example: Are there things about you that you cannot change? You say it’s just the way I am. And if I’m to change, it will take a miracle from God. Can you accept those things right now? Are you hiding from God because of the way you are? How do you see yourself in God’s eyes?

11. You cannot leave the house without your face done, your hair perfect, and your nails painted? People accuse you of being vain.

Did you know that Jesus said the "greatest commandment' includes loving yourself? Luke 10:27 answered: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself." They will know we are Christians by our love? Your ability to LOVE is far more critical than any gift, talent, skill, calling, or resume.

God's plan is to love God and others as we love ourselves. His plan is to reconcile us to Himself, others, and ourselves in a new oneness. The problem is that most of us have not received Father God's love and do not know how to love ourselves. We measure ourselves by our performance and others, too. Maybe you grew up in a critical home or a self-conscious home? You grew up in a home worrying about what others think instead of having peace with yourself and who you?

The devil's plan has always been to separate you from others, from God, from yourself, and ultimately to destroy your ability to love. He seeks to erode our love by attacking us through others and our minds. Usually, how we see God has been distorted by our perceptions of human father figures around us. The devil's goal is to block us from seeing God's love and seeing ourselves as God sees us. Psalm 139:14 "I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well."

"Peace comes from contentment of accepting who I am at the moment in time I am living right now!"

If we were content about who we are, our relationships with others, and with our God, we would have Peace! The Unloving Spirit gets you focused on yourself (going inward or looking backward).

TEST YOURSELF FOR THESE SPIRITS: See if you relate to any of these voices who would prevent you from loving yourself.

self-rejection - Says I am the non-person of the family, calls me names, and says my opinions and preferences are not necessary.

self-hatred - Uses my voice to tell me that I hate myself, and then my body/soul/spirit connection reacts with infirmities, auto-immune illnesses, and diseases of unknown causes.

competition - Says I must always win and manipulate for self-promotion. I cannot defer to others easily, as in Matthew 5,6,7.

self-pride - Causes me to lust for a position, a relationship, or material things to complete myself or to maximize my potential.

selfishness - Makes me hypersensitive to whether I am getting my share (i.e., of the love) when and how I want it.

exalted "I" and "I will" - The Devil suggests that I can do it independently, by myself, in my own strength, with my own talents, gifts, and resources (like Lucifer did in Ezekiel 28.)

rebellion - I reject God's choices for me, i.e., my IQ, appearance, body, parents, race, birthplace, etc.

attention getting - I demand attention from people before they even have a chance to offer their love or at least before they can reject me. I am easy prey for counterfeit love.

excessive talkativeness - Drives me to dominate conversations with my opinions, needs, feelings, knowledge, or just chit-chat.

insecurity - Sets me up to be easily offended, overreact, feel devalued, and take things personally.

fabricated self - We prematurely create a niche for ourselves and tend to project ourselves as more qualified than we are.

unworthiness - We fear being unworthy of blessing (based on our performance.)

self-deprecation - We torture ourselves by calling ourselves names, cutting ourselves down (as humor,) minimizing our strengths and maximizing our faults.

self-comparison - This causes me to measure myself negatively in contrast to the progress, blessings, gifts, talents, and accomplishments of others.

self-assertion - I am not just asking for what I need; I demand with pressure, control, or manipulation.

self-deception - I rationalize that sinful reactions, beliefs, and behaviors are OK; I defend them when others try to tell me the truth.

self-questioning - I constantly doubt God's truth about myself, my perceptions, and my abilities and tend to believe that I will choose unwisely.

self-indulgence - I am addicted to ineffective coping mechanisms like overspending, binge eating, kleptomania, drug abuse, or therapy that "never seems to take effect!"

self-idolatry - I obsess about my agenda, my needs, my successes, and my glory instead of God's purposes and plans.

perfection - Says that I can only feel good about myself if my performance meets the standards of others, my unreasonably high standards, or is perfect (and of course, it is not.)

self-accusation - Refuses to acknowledge the progress or growth in my life; identifies me with my past failures and projects my past onto my future.

self-condemnation - "I am" a failure, inadequate, inferior, unattractive, to blame, and unlovable. I believe that I am shameful because I am basically defective.

self-bitterness - I keep a record of my failures, withholding forgiveness from myself and resenting myself for being imperfect.

unforgiveness toward yourself - False humility tells me that it is more holy not to forgive myself and that I should punish myself.

need for approval - I try to earn "unconditional love and acceptance" (oxymoron) by meeting the supposed expectations of others.

not necessary, not needed - I agree with devaluating condescending lies and conclude that I not valuable and that my contributions are not worthwhile.

self-doubt and unbelief - I disqualify myself, settle for less, believe I am the most unlikely to be chosen and cannot believe that God could love me.

self-denial - I tend to exclude myself, isolate myself and to suffer vs. asking for what I need.

self-absorption - I obsess on analyzing myself, my interests, my needs, figuring out my own way or ruminating about my issues.

self-abuse - I blame myself, drive myself with drugs or unrealistic demands, deny basic needs, volunteer for martyrdom, victimize myself, and am addicted to self-destructive behaviors.

self-pity - I accept the identity of a victim, stuck in the past, who is not healed, and I insist that I should be pitied rather than believe that I can release my pain to Jesus to heal.

self-sabotage - I "shoot myself in the foot" because I am afraid to receive promotions, compliments, or great opportunities. I disqualify myself when I fear succeeding; I push love away for fear of inevitable rejection.

self-annihilation or elimination - I have a plan to kill myself, make suicidal gestures, or actually attempt suicide.

Prayer:

Dear Lord Jesus, I recognize that I have been believing the devil's lies and repent for agreeing with him. In the name of Jesus, I renounce and break all agreements with his lies and command all these unloving spirits to leave me, to go to dry, uninhabited places, and never come back. I ask you to fill my empty place with your Life and Peace. I choose to receive God's truth about me: Because of what Jesus Christ has done for me on the cross, God sees me as righteous, holy, and blameless in His sight. (Ephesians 1:4 and Romans 5:18)

I agree with God's truth that I am precious, loveable, totally forgiven, unconditionally loved and accepted, completely apart from my performance. I choose to receive all the blessings that I have been afraid to receive. I ask you to restore me to your purposes and plans. Please "restore all the years that the locusts have eaten." Father God, you love me and have promised you will never leave me. (Romans 8) Amen

Now, it is equally important to receive God's truth about you instead of each one of these lies. If you would like to download Bible verses about how much God loves you, see below. If you will look yourself in the eye (in the mirror) and agree with God, He will begin to delete the lies and replace them with His truth about you. Try it! GUARANTEE: If you will declare His truths from this love letter, for 40 days; God will "re-parent" you and renew your mind! The Word of God will arm you with truth to defeat the accuser and you will walk in new confidence and victory! Start looking in the mirror every morning and say "I'm a gorgeous hunk of dust!" Start seeing yourself as the Lord sees you!

Whenever you have thoughts against yourself such as self-accusation, self-rejection, self-hatred, etc., then practice 2 Corinthians 10:5 "casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ," Why! These are negative feelings not from the Lord and it is not His character but the character of Satan's kingdom - it is a spirit. When the Lord said to Adam, why are you hiding, Adam said "I was afraid, because I was naked." The Lord said "Who told thee that thou wast naked? That means there was a spirit being with a voice speaking to Adam telling him he was naked after the fall! It came in as a thought and Adam became one with that thought!

Quote scriptures of who you are!

After you've done all this and you still hear the unloving spirit and agree with it, do the 8'rs any time something starts playing in your mind! For example, you have a feeling of insecurity coming over you, and you pull back because you agreed. 1. Recognize insecurity; 2. take responsibility - don't blame others, 3. repent to the Lord since you took insecurity into your heart, 4. renounce that spirit of insecurity; 5. remove it. Tell the spirit of insecurity to leave and send it to dry places. 6. resist - if it comes back, then quote scriptures that pertain to being accepted, loved, and secure in His love, etc., and believe it. Your security is in the Lord and not in people. Get to where you are not looking to people to make you feel secure or accepted. You are already accepted. 8. rejoice to the Lord that it is not your identity, 9. Restore others.

More on the 8rs, which are keys to freedom!

1. RECOGNIZE – every thought that comes to you comes from some kingdom.

Hebrews 5:8-10 “8though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things He suffered. 9And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him, 10called by God as High Priest "according to the order of Melchizedek,"

2 Corinthians 10:4-6 “4For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.”

We need to bring every thought captive: We react to every thought that comes into our minds. It changes the chemicals in our minds. We need to learn, renew our minds, and be freed from strongholds.

We need to know the promises for us.

1. He did not give us a spirit of fear but of sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 - God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. Romans 8:15 - For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father."

2. He supplies all our needs. Philippians 4:19 “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

3. We can do ALL things in Him. Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

2 Corinthians 10:4 “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds” 5casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ”

2. RESPONSIBILITY – regardless of how much abuse you have had, you are still responsible for your sin.

Psalms 51:2-4 “2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin. 3 For I acknowledge my transgressions, And my sin is always before me. 4 Against You, You only, have I sinned, And done this evil in Your sight-- That You may be found just when You speak, And blameless when You judge."

3. REPENT – I recognize sin and taken responsibility for it and I’m choose to turn from it. I let it go.

1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

4. RENOUNCE – (he was renouncing it very clearly) – Paul did not want to sin.

Romans 7:15-25 “15 For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do. 16 If, then, I do what I will not to do, I agree with the law that it is good. 17 But now, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. 18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find. 19 For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice. 20 Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. 21 I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good. 22 For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. 23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. 24 O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? 25 I thank God--through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin."

5. REMOVE IT –remove the temptation or remove the sin, such as rejection, etc.

Mathew 4:1-5, 7-10 “1 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. 3 Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, "If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread." 4 But He answered and said, "It is written, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God." 5 Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, 7 Jesus said to him, "It is written again, "You shall not tempt the LORD your God." 8 Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 And he said to Him, "All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me." 10 Then Jesus said to him, "Away with you, Satan! For it is written, "You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve."

6. RESISTED - Accusation will try to come back, so resist it. That is why we need to discern good and evil. The Devil gives afflictions.

I Peter 5:6-9 “6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.”

7. REJOYCE – thanksgiving is thanking God for what he has done. Praise is a warfare tool.

8. RESTORE – We need to get involved and become proactive. Isaiah 58:1-14

How To Walk In A Fallen World!!!

How To Walk In A Fallen World!!! - Walk out and/or keep your healing!

We are ALL walking out SANTIFICATION until Christ comes for His bride!

My Process to Healing! I had to learn that Disease comes when we are separated from God, from ourselves, and from others. My healing started when I reconciled with God and received His love, reconciling with Him as my Father and making peace with Him. I also had to reconcile with myself and with others to complete the healing process, forgive my debts, and love who I truly am! Plus, continually forgive when others hurt you again!

The heart is made to love, nothing else. When we forgive, we are loving. Love is forgiveness. Jesus showed us the ultimate love of dying on the cross for us, and did it to bring us forgiveness. The first part of Matthew 22:38-40 was described when I spoke of Love of God. As we read on in Matthew 22:38-40, it says, "..and the second one is like unto it, we are to love others as we love ourselves."
Simply put, as we get to "know" God and how much He loves us and is able to receive that love for us personally, we are to do the same with others and not believe the lies we believe! Those lies also separate us from God's love. I know I believed some of those lies, which separated me.

Receive God's love more and more, and the hidden impurities surfaced. My sins were, and still are, being exposed so I can confess them. When I confessed them, God purged me and it brought me even closer to Him. That's the good news!

We get stuck on loving ourselves! We don't even want to make friends because we know ourselves all too well, all the hidden junk, all the past mistakes, etc., for fear they'll find all this stuff out. The truth is, God, already knows it anyway.

We get mad at ourselves when we make a mistake (sin). I know I did. I used to beat myself up literally. I was a rage alcoholic against myself. We think we must "pay" for them somehow, stay miserable for a few days, etc. But, if we truly believe in forgiveness, we would take it the minute we sinned, thereby staying free FROM sin, as Jesus promised. It's not that there won't be sin any longer; it's that we don't take it when it comes!

The Sanctification Process - don't be tricked by the enemy:

* To come clean or identify unforgiveness, if you have not done this already, list when you got hurt, experienced trauma or rejection, and see if a person, God, or self is attached to that event you need to forgive. Go back to your earliest memory and work forward. Did you know unforgiveness binds you to that person and also binds you to emotional pain? Every emotional pain in your life is a result of unforgiveness. When you can genuinely forgive a person, your heart will healed -- no more pain around that memory. Forgiveness of sins and healing diseases work together! Are you a stuffer - stuffing your emotions? Many people suppress their feelings and don't deal with their pain. A stuffer denies specific strong needs and represses a lot of feelings – shut down. Eventually, what they stuffed comes out in sickness, disease, or mental torment. Learn when someone hurts you to not stuff it or go in denial. Recognize your hurt and ask God to help you forgive instead of stuffing. "Stuffing is bad to your health." Do you replay past events in your head or tell the same story over and over what someone else, church, or job did to you, and you cannot stop thinking or stop talking about it? Guess what! That is Unforgiveness! Pay attention to what you are thinking or talking about!

* Then 1 John 1:9 - confess these sins to God, and then RECEIVE forgiveness. Simply confessing is good, but it's complete when we RECEIVE forgiveness. If you have a hard time receiving, that's OK, it will come as you continue your love quest with God.

* Do you have expectations of others to meet your needs as a parent would? Are you still performing? Are you hoping they will say words that you NEED? Are you in a cycle of being abused, expecting things to be different? REMEMBER: Doing the same thing but expecting different results is the definition of INSANITY. Are you disappointed, hurt, and crushed every time it does not happen AGAIN? Guess what, they won't, and it won't change. Satan is setting you up for disappointments heaped with more hurt and pain. Let go of the expectations of others.

EXPECTATIONS are really judgment/bitterness. Only the Lord can meet your needs. When we expect someone to act like a parent or special someone, we make them an idol. My healing came faster when I released the people I had expectations of. I was flooded with freedom from my heart. Plus, they changed!

* Hurting people hurts people. We live in a world full of hurting people. Expect to get hurt by others but not broken. How do I stay intact? The faster you separate them (Romans 7 Separation Teaching - it's not them but the sin in them), forgive them (a friend told me, "forgive before the crow gets cold"), then you won't be broken.

Jeremiah 5:25 says that we withhold good things from us. When we don't forgive, we block all blessings! Isaiah 59:1-2 says, God can heal us, but our sins and iniquities prevent Him. He cannot move against our will. Our sins and iniquities are unforgiveness and not receiving God's love.

* Are you being driven to meet everyone else's expectations? - "Fear of man", "fear of rejection", fear of failure", fear of abandonment", etc. Stop if you are! God leads, and satan drives. If satan is driving you, then get out of the driver's seat and allow the Lord to lead you. Being led is much more peaceful than being driven by fear.

"1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. 2 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. 3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. 4 But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. 5 For every man shall bear his own burden."

* Do you get all caught up helping others (advising others when they didn't ask) and not taking care of self? False Burden Bearing is rooted in rejection! The enemy is tricky and will use your feelings of rejection to try to get you to help others (to steal your peace) so that you will feel accepted, but in reality, satan is stealing your peace and keeping you in "turmoil." It is meeting a need in you to help others. Let go and let God! Let Him be in control! Yes, pray for them, but release them to the Lord standing in faith, saying, "It is done." This is activating your faith by standing!

You do want to come alongside them! We are to support them during their trials. You are not there to solve their solutions. You want to avoid becoming consumed with their thoughts about the situation and person (children, parents, or someone they care about).

* Watch your thought life and don’t dwell in the negative. Keep our thoughts captive under truth, casting down all imaginations that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God. (II Corinthians 10:5).

If you believe the negative lies of Satan or others, it can cause you to pursue perfection, performance, drive, pull away, and engage in self-comparison, ultimately causing you to lose your peace and separate you from the Love of the Lord! Resist him because thoughts can lead to sin! "Submit yourselves to God, resist the Devil, and He will flee." This means submitting your mind, body, and soul to the Lord.

* Know God's Love Is Unconditional! There is nothing you can do to receive more of His LOVE, and there is no sin so large to lose His LOVE. The only difference between the lost and the saved is we have the promises. He loves the lost just as much as the saved. Sin separates us, but God is always there with His arms wide open to receive you back through His mercy. You do not need to perform to receive more of His LOVE. It's already done! The Scripture clearly teaches that God's love (phileo, agape, aheb, ahabah, etc.) is unfailing, undeserved, and unilateral (completely one-sided in initiation). But is God's love without condition--I.E.: UN- conditional? Come into His Rest!!!

*
Watch what comes out of your mouth! Is It a Good Report or a Bad report?

(Philippians 4:8) "Finally brethren, Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, if there be any praise, think on these things. AND those things which ye have both learned, received, heard, and seen in me, do, and the God of peace shall be with you."

When you have symptoms, don't receive them or become one with them.

Conclusion:

Don't be tricked by the enemy, but be wise (Hebrews 5:14) and discern good and evil. Recognize the accuser, cast those thoughts down, and don't receive them, even if they come from a person. Know who you are to the Lord. You are precious in His sight!

I leave you with this scripture: 1 Thessalonians 5:23 "And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ."

RECOGNIZING trauma and closing doorpoints

Closing doorpoints from trauma where the demonic came in:

Closing doorpoints

Familiar Spirits Exposed: A Biblical Warning Every Christian Must Know

Familiar Spirits Exposed: A Biblical Warning Every Christian Must Know

In today’s world, many unknowingly entertain dangerous spiritual forces under the guise of curiosity or false religion. One such force is the familiar spirit—a demonic entity that has operated since ancient times. The Bible speaks clearly against interacting with familiar spirits, necromancers, or sorcerers, labeling such acts as abominations.

📖 What Are Familiar Spirits?

The term “familiar spirit” refers to a demon that interacts closely with a person, usually through sorcery, witchcraft, necromancy, or divination. In Hebrew, the word for familiar spirit is 'ob', which literally means “leathern bottle.” It symbolized that the person was merely a vessel for the indwelling spirit. The Greek counterpart is pytho, as seen in Acts 16:16, where a girl possessed with a spirit of divination brought her masters profit through fortune-telling.

These spirits pretend to be helpful or informative, often impersonating deceased loved ones or spiritual guides. But they are, in fact, deceiving demons, aligned with Satan, meant to trap the soul and lead it away from God.

⛔ What Does the Bible Say?

God strongly forbids His people from consulting mediums, necromancers, or anyone with familiar spirits. Here are some direct scriptures:

  • Leviticus 19:31 – "Regard not them that have familiar spirits... I am the Lord your God."

  • Deuteronomy 18:10-11 – "There shall not be found among you... a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer."

  • Isaiah 8:19 – "Should not a people seek unto their God? For the living to the dead?"

These spirits lead people into spiritual bondage. Scripture also shows how God dealt with those who entertained them. King Saul, once chosen by God, fell into rebellion and eventually sought the witch of Endor (1 Samuel 28), an act that sealed his downfall.

👿 How Familiar Spirits Operate

Familiar spirits imitate the dead, speak through mediums, or influence the thoughts and actions of individuals. They can manifest through:

  • Dreams or visions

  • Voices or impressions

  • Psychic powers or prophetic imitations

  • Emotional torment or false comfort

They pretend to be servants, guides, or even "angels of light" (2 Corinthians 11:14), but they deceive the soul into spiritual slavery.

🧙‍♂️ Necromancy, Witchcraft & Sorcery

Necromancy is the attempt to communicate with the dead, often through rituals. Witchcraft and sorcery, similarly, involve calling upon spirits for power or knowledge. These practices are strictly forbidden by God and are often how familiar spirits gain access.

Examples in Scripture:

  • The Witch of Endor (1 Samuel 28:7-25)

  • Simon the Sorcerer (Acts 8:9-11)

  • The girl at Philippi (Acts 16:16) possessed by a spirit of divination

  • Magicians in Pharaoh's court (Exodus 7:11-22)

  • False prophets and dreamers (Jeremiah 14:14; Ezekiel 13:6)

These practices are rooted in paganism, Babylonian mysticism, and Satanic deception—bringing spiritual corruption to any who partake.

🌀 Demon Possession & Manifestations

Scripture reveals many examples of demonic possession:

  • The Gadarene demoniac (Mark 5:1-20)

  • The deaf and mute boy (Mark 9:17-29)

  • Mary Magdalene, delivered from seven demons (Luke 8:2)

  • Saul, tormented by an evil spirit (1 Samuel 16:14)

These demons often cause physical, emotional, and mental torment. Jesus cast them out with authority, demonstrating His power over all darkness (Mark 1:23-26; Luke 4:33-36).

🛡️ Deliverance Is Possible

Praise God, Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8). He gave us power over all unclean spirits (Luke 10:19). Deliverance is available through:

  • Repentance from sin and occult practices

  • Renouncing all involvement with witchcraft, necromancy, and spiritualism

  • Calling on the name of Jesus Christ with authority

  • Receiving prayer and ministry through the Holy Spirit

The early church demonstrated this power (Acts 5:16, 8:7, 19:12), and believers today can walk in that same authority through the Holy Spirit.

🏛️ Rooted in Pagan Culture

Most of these occult practices originated in Babylon, Egypt, Greece, and Rome—cultures that worshipped many gods and spirits. Their spiritual beliefs centered around manipulation, control, and power through false gods and demonic spirits.

Examples include:

  • Balaam the diviner (Numbers 22-24)

  • Jezebel's sorceries (2 Kings 9:22)

  • The Chaldeans’ enchantments (Daniel 2:2)

Their gods were often demons disguised as deities. These cultural practices were meant to control outcomes, curse enemies, or predict the future—all forbidden in God’s kingdom.

⚖️ Final Judgment Awaits These Spirits

Demons know their time is limited. Scripture tells us they tremble before God (James 2:19) and will be judged (Matthew 8:29; Jude 1:6; Revelation 20:10). Satan, their leader, is described in many ways: Abaddon, Apollyon, the dragon, the serpent, the liar, the accuser. His destiny is eternal fire—and so is the fate of all demons.

Taking the Spoils — A Biblical Strategy for Victory

✍️ Taking the Spoils — A Biblical Strategy for Victory

“So the Lord smote the Ethiopians before Asa and before Judah; and the Ethiopians fled… and they carried away very much spoil.”
—2 Chronicles 14:12–13

The story of King Asa in 2 Chronicles 14–16 presents a powerful illustration of what it means to walk in obedience to God, prepare in seasons of peace, and trust Him in the face of overwhelming battles. The reward? Victory and spoil.

I. The Path to Peace Begins with Obedience (2 Chronicles 14:1–7)

Asa inherited a kingdom and immediately began cleansing the land. He removed pagan altars, high places, and images. He didn’t just tolerate evil; he tore it down. This bold obedience was honored by God.

Asa commanded Judah to seek the Lord and to obey His law. As a result, God gave him ten years of peace. But Asa didn’t waste that peace. He used it to build—fortified cities, walls, towers, and an army of valiant men. He understood that peace is not a time for complacency but a time for preparation.

Personal Application:
Have you torn down the spiritual idols in your life—bitterness, fear, pride, or unforgiveness? Peace comes when our hearts are wholly turned toward the Lord.

II. When the Enemy Returns (2 Chronicles 14:8–15)

Peace doesn’t last forever. The enemy always returns—just as Satan returned to tempt Jesus again after the wilderness. Asa faced an invading army of a million Ethiopians with 300 chariots. But instead of panicking, Asa prayed:

“Help us, O Lord our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude” (v.11).

He acknowledged his weakness and fully relied on God. The result? The Lord Himself defeated the enemy. Asa and his army pursued them and gathered great spoil—livestock, riches, and goods. This is more than just winning; this is taking ground.

Spiritual Truth:
When you fight in God’s strength, He not only brings victory but also increases your spiritual inheritance. Like Asa, you can take the spoils of healing, restoration, and deliverance when you overcome by faith.

III. The Danger of Forgetting God (2 Chronicles 15–16)

God sent Azariah the prophet to warn Asa: “If you seek Him, He will be found. If you forsake Him, He will forsake you” (15:2). Asa listened—for a time. For thirty-five years, he reigned in peace and prosperity. But he failed to completely remove all idol worship.

In Asa’s thirty-sixth year, a new threat arose. But this time, Asa relied on a foreign king rather than God. He used the temple’s gold to bribe Ben-Hadad of Syria for military help. It “worked”—temporarily. But God sent another prophet, Hanani, to rebuke him:

“Because you have relied on the king of Syria, and not on the Lord your God, therefore… you shall have wars” (16:7–9).

Instead of repenting, Asa became angry, imprisoned the prophet, and oppressed the people. His spiritual decline continued until his death. He died diseased, having trusted physicians over God (16:12).

Warning for Today:
When we stop seeking God and begin relying on human solutions—whether psychology, medicine, or worldly strategies—we forfeit the spiritual victories and spoils we could have gained through faith.

IV. Spoils from the Lord Throughout Scripture

This biblical principle of “taking the spoils” is not isolated to Asa:

  • Israel in Egypt: God gave the Israelites favor and they “spoiled the Egyptians” as they departed (Exodus 12:36, Psalm 105:37).

  • David and Goliath: After David’s faith-filled victory, Israel took the Philistines’ goods (1 Samuel 17:53).

  • Jehoshaphat: Surrounded by enemies, he turned to God and collected so much spoil it took three days to gather it all (2 Chronicles 20:25).

  • Paul and Silas: Imprisoned but praising, they took the “spoil” of salvation in the form of the jailer and his entire household (Acts 16).

  • Jesus Christ: The ultimate victor. Through the cross, He “spoiled principalities and powers” (Colossians 2:15) and now divides the spoils with the strong (Isaiah 53:12).

V. How Believers Today Can Take Spoil

You were not called to just survive life. You were called to conquer—then take spiritual spoil:

  • Overcome the world by faith in Jesus (1 John 5:4–5).

  • Overcome demonic opposition by the Spirit of God and truth (1 John 4:4).

  • Be more than a conqueror—take what the enemy tried to steal and use it for God’s glory (Romans 8:37).

Every trial you overcome becomes a testimony. Every healing you receive is a weapon against future attacks. Every deliverance is a spiritual spoil that strengthens your walk and helps others.

The Spirit of Self Pity - move to wix

Jesus came to mend a broken heart!

What is Self-Pity?

Self-pity is a spirit that will bind you to the hell of your past as if with super glue and not allow you to go on to the future. That is the purpose of self-pity, not to fulfill the calling the Lord has for you.

Accusing spirits will accompany Self-pity and hold you fast - into feeling so sorry for yourself that life no longer works for you. So, it is essential to let go of the past to move into a new future potential of liberty in Christ. Otherwise, you are stuck not able to move forward to the things Christ has preordained you to be.

Demons usually come in groups, not just one at a time, and the one who gains entrance helps the others to come in. When self-pity speaks, it can lead to defeatism coming in, which then leads to the downward spiral of depression and feeling worthless and despairing. Feeling worthless and despairing can also then lead to all sorts of bondage– alcohol, sex, drugs, overeating, anorexia because of feelings of being useless.

Not only that but being sick will not allow you to be well mentally. When your mind is sick, then your body can start to decay—the mind, body, and soul connection. Everything is connected. Every negative thought releases negative chemicals, producing disease.

Self-pity must be surrendered to God for God to miraculously heal you - healing your wounded heart. One of the most effective ways to destroy the habit of feeling sorry for oneself is to focus on God. Look at his creation and praise him. Several ways to surrender self-pity:

It is to choose a favor or scripture of promise of God’s word for you.

Signs of self-pity!

Many times, unforgiveness is the key to holding self-pity in place. That means doing what the word says, letting go, and forgiving those who have hurt you.

Self-pity often leads to unforgiveness, anger and hatred, resentment, rebellion of all sorts, and even a murderous and bitter broken heart.

Self-pity can be broken by taking the time to praise the Lord for the smallest of things and by having a grateful heart.

Self-pity can be a spiritual stronghold of thinking and might need more help, such as deliverance prayers. Jesus came, setting the captives free from generational curses, bondage, demon possession, etc.

A person must learn to overcome self-pity or eliminate self-pity

🧠 Demolishing Strongholds: Breaking Mental Bondage Through God’s Word

🧠 Demolishing Strongholds: Breaking Mental Bondage Through God’s Word

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God...” – 2 Corinthians 10:5

What Are Strongholds?

Strongholds are mental and emotional fortresses built over time through life experiences—often rooted in trauma, fear, lies, or false identity. These strongholds can be demonic in origin, deeply embedded in our thoughts, and designed to resist the truth of God's Word. According to 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, believers have divine power through Christ to tear down these destructive patterns.

They begin subtly—through what we see, hear, feel, taste, or smell. Traumatic experiences—like abuse, rejection, or abandonment—lay the foundation for lies such as “I am worthless,” “God doesn’t love me,” or “I will always be broken.” These lies become emotional strongholds, often protected by spirits of fear, shame, guilt, or self-hatred.

A Real-Life Example of a Mental Stronghold

A young girl molested by someone she trusted—perhaps a father or brother—may begin to believe, “I am dirty, unworthy, or shameful.” These thoughts don't just exist in the mind; they embed themselves into the personality and even affect physical health through the mind-body connection.

When the truth of God’s Word attempts to penetrate these lies, the stronghold reacts. It resists, often reinforced by demonic spirits whispering more lies. The goal? To keep the person from freedom and healing.

The Root System of Strongholds

Imagine a stronghold as a corrupted root in the brain. It feeds twisted thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that oppose God’s truth. The ruling center of this stronghold is demonic, and it uses deception, fear, and false identity to maintain control. The spirit of fear is the master weapon—fear of rejection, failure, abandonment, poverty, or even fear of God’s judgment.

God commands us 365 times to “Fear Not.” Why? Because perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18). Love begins the battle for freedom. It tears down walls of self-deception and empowers the truth of Christ to reign.

Demolishing the Stronghold

Freedom doesn’t come just by casting out demons. Deliverance requires recognizing the lie, taking responsibility, repenting for believing it, and renouncing it. Only then can the stronghold be dismantled. However, if you don’t fill that area of your life with truth, the enemy will return with greater force (Luke 11:24-26).

Steps to Freedom:

  1. Identify the lie you’ve been believing.

  2. Repent and renounce the false belief.

  3. Speak the truth from God’s Word to replace the lie.

  4. Invite the Holy Spirit to renew your mind.

  5. Surround yourself with a body of believers for prayer and support.

  6. Memorize scripture and listen to praise music to cultivate gratitude.

  7. Seek deliverance ministry if necessary to help evict demonic residents.

Defending Against the Counterattack

Even after deliverance, strongholds often try to regain access. Don’t let your guard down! Demons desire to return to the place they once inhabited. But this time, they’ll bring reinforcements (Matthew 12:43-45).

The key to maintaining victory is truth saturation:

  • Read and meditate on Scripture daily.

  • Guard your mind from toxic input.

  • Keep a list of powerful verses for spiritual warfare.

  • Worship with thanksgiving—praise shifts the atmosphere.

  • Stay connected to a faith-filled community who uplifts you.

Walking in Victory

You’ll know a stronghold is broken when your thoughts begin to shift—when truth becomes more natural than lies. Your emotions begin to align with the Word. That’s the power of a renewed mind. Your body may even begin to heal because it’s no longer ruled by spiritual oppression or trauma-driven reactions.

Victory is not just possible—it’s promised through Christ.

“You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” —John 8:32

Renounce Sin

How To Repent For your Sins

'renounce' means to disclaim, disown, reject publicly, and abandon something bad.
Why do we need to repent of our sins?  Two Reasons to Renounce

Reason #1 - To provide personal evidence of miraculous change that encourages others to believe in the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ. And many that believed came, and confessed, and showed their deeds. Many of them also used curious arts, brought their books together and burned them before all men, and they counted the price of them and found fifty thousand pieces of silver. So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed. Acts 19:18-20

As we have received mercy, we faint not; But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 2 Corinthians 4:1-2

Reason #2 - To maintain a godly life free from demonic bondage.

He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whosoever confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. Proverbs 28:13, and "As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come. Proverbs 26:2. The second verse says a curse cannot come on us if we do not have any open doors. The first scripture says that if we do confess our sins, then we have mercy and we are forgiven and it closes the door on the demonic to have any legal right.

We separate ourselves from the Lord when we sin - habitual sin. The enemy knows this and comes to accuse and sends his demons to work against you because it has a legal right. The good news is, Jesus is interceeding for you. He is for you and not against you. He is standing there with his arms open wide for you to make it right.

Works of the Flesh

You see sin is the works of the flesh and that is why it has to be repented and renounced. In Galatians 5:19-21 it says:

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Did you see in verse 21 it says you shall not inherit the kingdom of God when we stay in habitual sin or allow the flesh to control us allowing the enemy to have legal right to torment or take you deeper into other sins.

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. Titus 2:11-14

I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Galatians 5:16-18. Again, if we are not obedient to the word of God and choose to feed our flesh and not look at the consequences, then we cannot enter the kingdom of God.

  • Things That Should Be Renounces
  • Personal & Ancestral Sins that is against the word of God
  • Sins Done Against You
  • Sins you do to another (accusation, gossip, etc.)
  • False Religion
  • Objects Offensive to God - anything we put more important than God.
  • Occult Practices

But every man is tempted when he is drawn away of his own lust and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. James 1:14-15

Personal sins are the offenses that you committed against God. It may be you have prayed and asked the Lord to forgive you of 'all' of your sins, and He has, but you are still tasked with the responsibility of renouncing these sins for the two reasons I listed above. I encourage you to pray and ask the Lord to reveal to you all sins you need to renounce.

The renouncing of your sin to another person can be a simple and informal statement such as, "I used to do that, but the Lord showed me it is wrong. I don't want anything to do with that ever again." This lets the person know that whatever you did was wrong and sinful. It also let's the other person know that the Holy Spirit has trained you to renounce ungodly living.

You may be required to make a more formal renunciation to obtain deliverance from the demons associated with your personal sins. When renouncing these sins, you should say a statement similar to this: "I humble myself before the Lord to confess and renounce the sins of (put in the names of your sins here). In Jesus's name, I expel all evil spirits who gained entrance by these sins."

Ancestral sins (generational curses) are those your ancestors or family members committed. You may have already renounced some of these sins earlier when dealing with your own. If you have not renounced your own personal sins go back up and do that first. Even if you haven't committed the same sins your ancestors or other family members have, you should still renounce their sins, too. The reason this needs done is to separate yourself from the generational curses their sins bring to the family. Your renunciation might inspire your other family members to renounce their sins, too.

You might not be operating in the same sin, but there is a bent to continually tempt you there, so go ahead and renounce the sins of your forefathers.

A formal renunciation of ancestral and family sins might read, "I renounce the ancestral and family sins of (all ancestral and family sins). I subject all curses that come with those sins to Christ's authority. In the name of Jesus, I expel from myself all evil spirits who gained entrance via my family's bloodline."

Below is a list of general sins. None of the lists is exhaustive, so you might consider customizing your own lists that contain your specific sins.

  • Bitterness (unforgiveness, resentfulness, retaliation, anger/wrath, rage, hatred, violence, murder, suicide, etc.) deception (lying, deceit, false accusation, unfairness, belittling, slander)
  • gossip (back-biting, judgmental)
  • Accusation (accusing others, accusing yourself, accusing God,
  • Envy/Jealousy (theft, coveting, envy, rivalry, gossip, accusation, greed, strife, division, etc.)
  • Spirit of Rejection - (self-rejection, abandonment, accusation, false burden bearing, fear, etc.)
  • Unloving Spirit - perversion (immorality, talking vulgar, masochism, sadism, homosexuality, beastiality, rape, lust, fornication, masturbation, sodomy, incest, and molestation, self-rejection, self-bitterness, self-hatred, self-comparision, self-analiation, self-sabotage, gluttony, self-mutiliation, etc. abuse (abusing someone physically, spiritually, emotionally or mentally; violence, drunkenness, instigating arguments, abortion) )
  • Spirit of Fear (doubt and unbelief, worry, etc.)
  • Occult (rebellion, witchcraft, stubbornness, pride, arrogance, vanity, occult, division - fortune telling, hypnotism, idolatry, sorcery, witchcraft, necromancy and wizardry, controlling others, and self, matriarchal, patriarchal, deception, etc.)

These sins are those that other people perpetrate against you. If you were abused, then you need to renounce the sins of your abuser so that you may not become the same kind of perpetrator. It is not uncommon for an abused person to fall into the same sin his or her abuser committed; therefore these sins must be renounced so that may never happen.
