Apotropaic Charms, Evil Eye Symbols, and False Protection

Apotropaic Charms, Evil Eye Symbols, and False Protection

Apotropaion: A Biblical Warning About Protective Magic, Charms, and False Spiritual Covering

An apotropaion is an object, symbol, ritual, mark, charm, amulet, gesture, image, or practice believed to “turn away” evil, bad luck, curses, demons, the evil eye, sickness, misfortune, or spiritual attack. The word comes from the Greek idea of averting or turning away harm.

At first glance, apotropaic objects may seem harmless because they are often presented as protection. People may use them on jewelry, doors, homes, clothing, walls, vehicles, children, animals, or sacred spaces. But from a biblical perspective, when a person trusts an object, symbol, ritual, or charm for spiritual protection instead of trusting the Lord Jesus Christ, it becomes a counterfeit covering.

God is our protector. A charm is not.

Who Was the Founder of Apotropaion?

There is no single human founder of apotropaic magic or apotropaic objects. This practice developed across many ancient cultures over thousands of years. It was used in ancient Greece, Rome, Egypt, Mesopotamia, Jewish folk traditions, Islamic folk traditions, European folk magic, pagan societies, and many other cultures.

For your article, you can say:

Apotropaion has no single founder. It came out of ancient fear-based folk religion, paganism, superstition, evil-eye beliefs, charm magic, and protective rituals where people trusted objects, symbols, gods, spirits, or magical acts to turn away evil.

The biblical problem is not the word itself. The problem is the spiritual trust placed in an object or occult practice instead of God.

What Was Their Spirituality?

The spirituality behind apotropaic practices was usually a mixture of fear, superstition, paganism, folk magic, idolatry, ancestor customs, spirit appeasement, and protective ritual.

People believed unseen evil could be deflected by certain objects, marks, symbols, words, sounds, images, or gestures. Instead of seeking the Lord, they sought protection from created things or spiritual powers.

This is dangerous because fear often becomes the doorway. A person may think, “I need this charm to be safe,” “I need this symbol to protect my home,” or “If I remove this object, something bad will happen.”

That is bondage, not faith.

2 Timothy 1:7 KJV says:

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

What Culture Did It Come Out Of?

Apotropaic practices did not come from only one culture. They appeared in many cultures across the ancient world.

In ancient Greece, people used images such as eyes, masks, Gorgon/Medusa heads, phallic symbols, and other protective signs to ward off evil.

In ancient Rome, people used charms, household gods, protective images, and amulets.

In ancient Egypt, people used amulets, protective symbols, eye symbols, scarabs, and images connected to gods and goddesses for protection.

In Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cultures, evil-eye beliefs and protective charms became very common.

In European folk magic, people used witch marks, horseshoes, iron objects, protective carvings, bells, herbs, symbols, and ritual objects to guard homes or people.

So apotropaion came out of many cultures that often had their own pagan religions, folk magic, gods, spirits, and superstition.

What Were Their Beliefs?

The beliefs behind apotropaic practices usually included the idea that evil could be turned away by:

A symbol
A charm
An amulet
A ritual
A carved mark
A painted eye
A sacred word
A magical object
A gesture
A god or goddess
A household spirit
A protective animal image
A metal, stone, herb, or talisman

Some believed the evil eye could bring sickness, infertility, death, loss, or misfortune. Others believed demons, spirits, witches, ghosts, curses, or jealous people could harm them unless they used protective magic.

The problem is that these practices teach people to trust in an object or occult power instead of trusting the Lord.

Psalm 91:2 KJV says:

“I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.”

Who Is Their God or Gods?

Because apotropaic practices appeared in many cultures, there was not one god connected to them. Different cultures connected protective magic to different gods, goddesses, spirits, ancestors, or powers.

Examples may include:

Egyptian gods and goddesses connected to protection, death, fertility, magic, or healing
Greek gods, goddesses, and mythological figures
Roman household gods and protective spirits
Folk spirits or ancestral spirits
Nature spirits
Pagan deities
Demonic powers disguised as protectors
The evil eye as a feared spiritual force
Charms and symbols treated as protective powers

From a Christian perspective, any god, goddess, spirit, charm, amulet, talisman, or symbol trusted for protection becomes a false refuge.

Exodus 20:3 KJV says:

“Thou shalt have no other gods before me.”

Isaiah 42:8 KJV says:

“I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another…”

What Is Apotropaion Used For?

Apotropaic objects and rituals are commonly used for:

Protection from evil
Protection from curses
Protection from the evil eye
Protection from demons or spirits
Protection from bad luck
Protection from sickness
Protection over children
Protection over homes
Protection over livestock or property
Protection during childbirth
Protection during travel
Warding off witchcraft
Removing fear
Keeping away death, disaster, or misfortune
Creating a spiritual barrier

Examples may include evil-eye jewelry, amulets, talismans, charms, protective symbols on doors, witch marks, horseshoes used superstitiously, lucky objects, protective stones, ritual gestures, or objects prayed over by occult practitioners.

Why Is Apotropaion Against God’s Word?

Apotropaion is against God’s Word when it becomes protective magic, idolatry, superstition, charm use, witchcraft, or trust in spiritual objects instead of trust in the Lord.

Deuteronomy 18:10–12 KJV says:

“There shall not be found among you any one that… useth divination… or an enchanter, or a witch, or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits… For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD.”

This is very important because apotropaic objects often function as charms. God specifically warns against charmers, enchantment, witchcraft, and familiar spirits.

Leviticus 19:31 KJV says:

“Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them…”

If a person uses an object for spiritual protection, healing, luck, or warding off evil, the question becomes: what spiritual source is being trusted?

Isaiah 8:19 KJV says:

“Should not a people seek unto their God?”

God’s people should seek God, not charms.

Does Apotropaion Bring Torment?

Yes, it can bring torment when it opens a spiritual door through fear, superstition, idolatry, occult objects, and agreement with false protection.

The object may appear to bring peace at first, but it is a counterfeit peace. A person may begin to feel fear if they do not wear the charm, touch the object, keep the symbol, or perform the ritual. That fear becomes bondage.

Possible torment may include:

Fear of curses
Fear of the evil eye
Fear of removing the object
Fear of demons or spirits
Nightmares
Spiritual oppression
Mental confusion
Anxiety
Obsessive superstition
Feeling unsafe without the charm
Dependence on rituals
Oppression in the home
Strange disturbances around occult objects
Emotional heaviness
Spiritual bondage

1 John 4:18 KJV says:

“Fear hath torment.”

If a protective object creates fear, dependence, or spiritual bondage, it is not from the Lord.

Why Would Someone Get Involved?

People get involved with apotropaic practices because they want protection. Many are afraid of evil, curses, sickness, witchcraft, jealousy, bad luck, poverty, infertility, nightmares, death, or spiritual attack.

Common reasons include:

Fear
Family tradition
Cultural superstition
Fear of the evil eye
Fear of witchcraft
Fear for children
Fear of sickness
Curiosity
New Age influence
Occult upbringing
Pagan religion
Desire for control
Desire to feel spiritually safe
Lack of biblical understanding
Trust in charms instead of Christ

Many people do not realize they are trusting in counterfeit protection.

How Does It Hurt a Christian Who Dabbles With It?

A Christian who dabbles with apotropaic objects or rituals can enter spiritual mixture. They may say they love Jesus, but still keep an evil-eye bracelet, charm, talisman, amulet, witch mark, crystal, or protective object “just in case.”

That “just in case” reveals fear and divided trust.

1 Corinthians 10:21 KJV says:

“Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils…”

Apotropaic practices can hurt a Christian by:

Opening doors to familiar spirits
Creating fear and superstition
Weakening faith in God’s protection
Bringing spiritual confusion
Making the person dependent on objects
Defiling the home through occult items
Leading into charms, amulets, crystals, talismans, and witchcraft
Creating bondage to rituals
Bringing false peace
Blocking discernment
Creating double-mindedness
Opening generational occult doors
Replacing the blood of Jesus with counterfeit covering

Jesus Christ is enough. His blood is enough. His Word is enough. His authority is enough.

What Curses Can Come on a Christian Through Apotropaic Practices?

From a deliverance perspective, dabbling in apotropaic magic can open doors to curses and spiritual bondage. Possible spiritual consequences may include:

A curse of idolatry — trusting objects, charms, symbols, or rituals instead of God.
A curse of fear — fear of evil, curses, demons, bad luck, or removing the object.
A curse of superstition — bondage to signs, omens, lucky objects, and rituals.
A curse of familiar spirits — spirits imitating protection, peace, warning, or guidance.
A curse of witchcraft — using objects or rituals for spiritual power.
A curse of divination — seeking hidden spiritual protection or signs outside of God.
A curse of torment — nightmares, anxiety, oppression, and spiritual harassment.
A curse of false protection — feeling safe only when the charm or object is present.
A curse of confusion — difficulty discerning God’s voice from counterfeit impressions.
A curse of generational occultism — inherited family use of charms, folk magic, and protective rituals.
A curse of double-mindedness — trying to follow Jesus while trusting occult protection.

The good news is that Jesus Christ breaks every curse.

Galatians 3:13 KJV says:

“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us…”

What Should a Christian Do?

A Christian should repent, renounce apotropaic practices, remove occult objects, and declare trust in Jesus Christ alone.

Renounce:

Apotropaic charms
Evil-eye jewelry
Amulets
Talismans
Protective symbols
Witch marks
Lucky charms
Horseshoes used superstitiously
Crystals used for protection
Protective rituals
Objects prayed over by occult practitioners
Household idols
Pagan protection objects
Fear-based traditions
Familiar spirits
False covering
False protection
Every agreement with fear and superstition

Acts 19:19 KJV says:

“Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men…”

When people came to Christ, they separated from occult practices.

Prayer of Renunciation

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I repent for trusting in apotropaic objects, charms, amulets, talismans, evil-eye symbols, protective rituals, lucky objects, witch marks, occult symbols, or any object used to turn away evil.

I repent for fear, superstition, idolatry, and every agreement I made knowingly or unknowingly with false protection.

I renounce every apotropaic object, evil-eye charm, amulet, talisman, protective symbol, folk magic practice, occult ritual, familiar spirit, and counterfeit covering.

I break every curse connected to fear, superstition, charms, witchcraft, idolatry, familiar spirits, false protection, and generational occultism.

I declare that Jesus Christ is my Lord, my Protector, my Deliverer, my Refuge, and my Fortress. I trust in the blood of Jesus Christ, not an object, charm, symbol, or ritual.

Every spirit of fear, torment, superstition, witchcraft, familiar spirits, confusion, false protection, and idolatry must leave me now in the name of Jesus Christ.

Holy Spirit, cleanse my home, my body, my mind, my family, and my spiritual atmosphere. Restore my faith and teach me to trust the Lord alone.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

Final Word

Apotropaion may look like protection, but when it is rooted in charm magic, superstition, evil-eye beliefs, paganism, or occult objects, it becomes a counterfeit covering. Christians do not need charms to turn away evil.

We have Jesus Christ.

Psalm 121:7 KJV says:

“The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.”

You do not need an apotropaic object. You need the Lord.

The Danger of Cosmic Consciousness and False Enlightenment

The Danger of Cosmic Consciousness and False Enlightenment

The Danger of Cosmic Consciousness and False Enlightenment

Higher Consciousness: A Biblical Warning About New Age Awakening, False Enlightenment, and Spiritual Deception

Higher consciousness is a New Age and occult concept that teaches people can rise into a higher spiritual state, awaken the “divine self,” expand awareness, become enlightened, connect with universal consciousness, or realize that all is one. It is often connected to cosmic consciousness, Christ consciousness, meditation, Eastern mysticism, yoga spirituality, altered states, psychedelics, channeling, energy work, spirit guides, and New Age transformation.

To many people, higher consciousness sounds peaceful, loving, intellectual, and spiritual. But when a person seeks spiritual awakening apart from Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, repentance, and the Word of God, it becomes a counterfeit path to revelation.

Where Did Higher Consciousness Come From?

The idea of higher consciousness does not have one single origin. It comes from a mixture of Eastern religion, Hinduism, Buddhism, Theosophy, New Thought, occult philosophy, mysticism, and later New Age spirituality.

The modern New Age movement spread through occult and metaphysical communities in the 1970s and 1980s and emphasized personal transformation, healing, and spiritual awakening. Britannica says the New Age movement promoted transformation and healing, and also blended older divinatory practices such as astrology, tarot, and the I Ching with modern spiritual ideas.

Theosophy also helped prepare the way for modern New Age thought. Britannica explains that Theosophy promoted “divine wisdom,” drew from occult and mystical traditions, and helped spread Eastern religious thought in the West.

A related phrase is cosmic consciousness, popularized by psychiatrist Richard Maurice Bucke in his 1901 book Cosmic Consciousness: A Study in the Evolution of the Human Mind. Bucke described cosmic consciousness as a higher form of consciousness beyond ordinary self-consciousness.

Who Is the Founder of Higher Consciousness?

There is no single founder of higher consciousness. It is a broad spiritual concept that developed through many religions, mystics, philosophers, occult movements, and New Age teachers.

However, several movements and figures helped popularize similar ideas:

Theosophy helped bring Eastern and occult concepts into Western spirituality.
New Thought promoted metaphysical ideas about mind, healing, and spiritual power. Britannica describes New Thought as a 19th-century American mind-healing movement based on metaphysical beliefs.
Richard Maurice Bucke popularized the phrase “cosmic consciousness” in 1901.
Aldous Huxley later helped promote mystical and altered-consciousness ideas through writings such as The Doors of Perception, which Britannica identifies as a work about his hallucinogen experiences.

For your article, you can say:

Higher consciousness has no single founder. It is a New Age and occult concept shaped by Eastern mysticism, Theosophy, New Thought, cosmic consciousness teachings, altered-state practices, and modern spiritual awakening movements.

What Is Higher Consciousness Used For?

Higher consciousness may be used for:

Spiritual awakening
Self-realization
Meditation
Altered states of consciousness
Contacting spirit guides
Channeling
Energy healing
Opening the third eye
Activating chakras
Manifesting desires
Psychic development
Astral projection
Lucid dreaming
Receiving hidden knowledge
Connecting to universal consciousness
Seeking “Christ consciousness” apart from biblical Jesus
Trying to escape pain, trauma, or fear
Seeking peace without repentance
Developing intuition or psychic sensitivity
Finding identity outside of Christ

Some people use it as a pathway to enlightenment. Others use it for healing, power, hidden knowledge, or spiritual experiences.

Why Is Higher Consciousness Against God’s Word?

Higher consciousness becomes spiritually dangerous because it teaches people to look within themselves, the universe, altered states, or hidden spiritual sources for truth. But the Bible teaches that truth is found in Jesus Christ.

John 14:6 KJV says:

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life…”

New Age higher consciousness often says, “Awaken to your divine self.” But the Bible says we are not God. We need salvation, repentance, cleansing, and new birth through Jesus Christ.

Genesis 3:5 KJV shows the original lie of the serpent:

“Ye shall be as gods…”

Higher consciousness often repeats that same deception: you are divine, you are your own source, you can awaken into godhood, or you can become one with universal consciousness.

Colossians 2:8 KJV warns:

“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men… and not after Christ.”

Deuteronomy 18:10–12 KJV says:

“There shall not be found among you any one that… useth divination… or an enchanter, or a witch… or a consulter with familiar spirits… For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD.”

Higher consciousness practices often lead people into divination, spirit guides, channeling, third-eye opening, energy work, astrology, tarot, and altered states. These are forbidden by God.

1 Timothy 4:1 KJV says:

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits…”

Not every spiritual awakening is from God. Some awakenings are seducing spirits leading people away from Christ.

Why Would Someone Get Involved in Higher Consciousness?

People often get involved because they are searching. They may be hurting, traumatized, confused, spiritually hungry, or disappointed with religion. Others want peace, healing, purpose, supernatural experiences, or hidden knowledge.

Common reasons include:

Desire for peace
Desire for healing
Curiosity about spirituality
Trauma or emotional pain
Desire to feel powerful
Desire to feel special or enlightened
Fear of missing hidden truth
Interest in meditation or yoga
Interest in psychedelics or altered states
Attraction to New Age teachers
Desire for answers outside of church
Wanting spirituality without repentance
Desire to contact guides or angels
Rebellion against biblical authority
Seeking identity outside of Jesus Christ

The danger is that higher consciousness often promises light, but it may lead a person into counterfeit light.

2 Corinthians 11:14 KJV says:

“Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.”

How Does Higher Consciousness Hurt a Christian Who Dabbles With It?

A Christian who dabbles with higher consciousness can become spiritually double-minded. They may begin mixing Jesus with New Age teachings, meditation, chakras, energy work, universal consciousness, or spirit guides.

1 Corinthians 10:21 KJV says:

“Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils…”

Higher consciousness can hurt a Christian by:

Opening doors to familiar spirits
Weakening biblical discernment
Creating spiritual pride
Producing false peace
Replacing repentance with self-awakening
Replacing Jesus with universal consciousness
Leading into altered states and trance practices
Opening doors to psychic sensitivity
Increasing confusion, fear, or torment
Creating obsession with signs, numbers, dreams, and symbols
Leading to yoga spirituality, chakras, tarot, crystals, channeling, or astrology
Causing rebellion against God’s Word
Blocking intimacy with the Holy Spirit
Bringing false identity and deception

A Christian does not need a higher consciousness. A Christian needs a renewed mind.

Romans 12:2 KJV says:

“Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind…”

What Curses Can Come on a Christian Through Higher Consciousness?

From a deliverance perspective, involvement in higher consciousness can open doors to spiritual bondage. Possible spiritual consequences may include:

A curse of false enlightenment — receiving counterfeit revelation apart from Christ.
A curse of spiritual pride — believing one is more awakened, advanced, or divine.
A curse of familiar spirits — spirits imitating wisdom, peace, guides, angels, or revelation.
A curse of divination — seeking hidden knowledge through intuition, signs, symbols, or altered states.
A curse of confusion — difficulty discerning God’s voice from counterfeit spiritual impressions.
A curse of false identity — believing “I am divine” instead of being a redeemed child of God.
A curse of witchcraft — using consciousness, intention, energy, or manifestation to control outcomes.
A curse of deception — accepting New Age lies as spiritual truth.
A curse of altered-state bondage — dependence on meditation, trance, psychedelics, or mystical experiences.
A curse of rebellion — rejecting biblical authority for personal revelation.
A curse of fear and torment — nightmares, oppression, anxiety, or spiritual harassment.
A curse of double-mindedness — mixing Jesus with occult spirituality.

The good news is that Jesus Christ breaks every curse.

Galatians 3:13 KJV says:

“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law…”

What Should a Christian Do?

A Christian should repent, renounce higher consciousness teachings, close every occult door, and return to Jesus Christ, the Word of God, and the Holy Spirit.

Renounce:

Higher consciousness
Cosmic consciousness
Christ consciousness not rooted in biblical Jesus
Universal consciousness
Third-eye opening
Chakra activation
Kundalini awakening
Spirit guides
Channeling
New Age meditation
Yoga spirituality
Psychic development
Altered states
Astral projection
Manifestation
Psychedelic spirituality
False enlightenment
Self-divinity
All occult teachers, practices, and agreements

Acts 19:19 KJV says:

“Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men…”

Prayer of Renunciation

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I repent for any involvement with higher consciousness, cosmic consciousness, Christ consciousness, universal consciousness, New Age awakening, third-eye opening, chakras, Kundalini, spirit guides, channeling, altered states, occult meditation, manifestation, psychic development, and false enlightenment.

I renounce every agreement I made knowingly or unknowingly with self-divinity, universal energy, counterfeit light, familiar spirits, divination, witchcraft, spiritual pride, and New Age deception.

I break every curse connected to higher consciousness, false awakening, altered states, occult meditation, spirit guides, chakras, Kundalini, psychic powers, and false revelation.

I declare that Jesus Christ is my Lord, Savior, Healer, Deliverer, and only source of truth. I am not God. I am not my own source. I belong to Jesus Christ.

Every spirit of false enlightenment, familiar spirits, divination, witchcraft, confusion, pride, fear, torment, rebellion, and counterfeit peace must leave me now in the name of Jesus Christ.

Holy Spirit, cleanse my mind, dreams, imagination, spirit, soul, and body. Renew my mind with the Word of God and lead me into all truth. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Final Word

Higher consciousness may sound enlightened, peaceful, and spiritual, but it leads people away from the simplicity and truth of Jesus Christ. Christians are not called to awaken to self-divinity. We are called to be born again, renewed in our minds, filled with the Holy Spirit, and conformed to the image of Christ.

You do not need higher consciousness. You need Jesus Christ.

John 8:36 KJV says:

“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”

Can a Christian Be Affected by Occult Curses?

Can a Christian Be Affected by Occult Curses?

Can a Christian Be Affected by Occult Curses?

What Are “Gypsy Curses”?

“Gypsy curses” are often described in folklore as spoken curses, evil-eye curses, fortune-teller threats, or occult declarations meant to bring fear, misfortune, sickness, poverty, confusion, relationship breakdown, barrenness, torment, or destruction. Basically, all curses, voodoo, witchcraft, and Gypsy and more, are all against God, and are evil curses that can be broken.

Some examples people may fear include:

A curse of sickness
A curse of poverty or financial loss
A curse of barrenness or family breakdown
A curse of wandering, instability, or homelessness
A curse of bad luck or repeated misfortune
A curse of confusion or mental torment
A curse of fear, nightmares, or oppression
A curse spoken over marriage or children
A curse of death or destruction
A curse released through evil-eye beliefs
A curse connected to fortune-telling or palm reading

The belief in the evil eye is ancient and widespread. Britannica describes it as a glance believed to cause injury or death, and says belief in the evil eye has appeared in ancient Greece and Rome, Jewish, Islamic, Buddhist, Hindu, indigenous, peasant, and other folk societies.

Where Did These Curses Come From?

There is no single founder of Gypsy curses. These curses stem from a mix of ancient superstition, folk magic, evil-eye beliefs, fortune-telling, palmistry, divination, fear-based religion, and occult practices across many cultures.

Palmistry, for example, is a form of divination by interpreting the lines of the hand. Britannica says its origins are uncertain, though it may have begun in ancient India and spread from there.

So for your article, you can say:

Gypsy curses do not have one founder. They come from folk magic, evil-eye beliefs, fortune-telling, palmistry, divination, spoken curses, and occult traditions that developed across many cultures over time. The biblical issue is not ethnicity—it is witchcraft, divination, fear, and cursing.

Why Would Someone Put a Curse on Another Person?

People may curse others because of jealousy, revenge, anger, offense, hatred, greed, control, manipulation, or spiritual pride. Some may curse others because they believe it gives them power. Others may use curses to intimidate people into fear, payment, submission, or dependence.

Common reasons may include:

Revenge
Jealousy
Money manipulation
Control
Bitterness
Hatred
Family conflict
Business conflict
Relationship conflict
Envy of someone’s blessing
Retaliation after rejection
Occult pride
Fear-based intimidation
Wanting someone to suffer
Wanting power over another person

From God’s perspective, cursing others is wicked. Christians are commanded to bless, not curse.

Romans 12:14 KJV says:

“Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.”

Why Are These Curses Against God’s Word?

God’s Word condemns witchcraft, divination, familiar spirits, enchantment, and occult practices.

Deuteronomy 18:10–12 KJV says:

“There shall not be found among you any one that… useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch… or a consulter with familiar spirits… For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD.”

A curse released through divination, fortune-telling, palmistry, evil-eye belief, spoken witchcraft, or occult power is forbidden by God.

Leviticus 19:31 KJV says:

“Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them…”

Galatians 5:19–21 KJV lists witchcraft as a work of the flesh:

“Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these… idolatry, witchcraft…”

James 3:10 KJV warns:

“Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.”

God does not want His people using their mouth to release destruction, accusation, hatred, or witchcraft.

What Are Some Manifestations of These Curses?

When someone believes they are under a curse, they may experience fear and torment. From a deliverance perspective, occult curses can also open doors when there is legal ground, agreement, fear, sin, idolatry, occult involvement, unforgiveness, or generational bondage.

Possible manifestations may include:

Sudden fear or dread
Nightmares or night terrors
Mental confusion
Oppression or heaviness
Unusual sickness patterns
Repeated financial loss
Relationship breakdown
Marriage conflict
Barrenness or reproductive attacks
Accidents or repeated misfortune
Panic or anxiety
Depression or hopelessness
Suicidal thoughts
Feeling watched or spiritually harassed
Strange dreams after visiting a psychic or fortune-teller
Fear that “something bad will happen”
Bondage to superstition
Fear of removing occult objects
Torment after palm readings, tarot, curses, or fortune-telling

Not every hardship is a curse. Christians must avoid fear and superstition. But if someone has participated in occult practices or received curses through divination, they should repent, renounce, and break agreement with the enemy.

Can a Christian Walking With the Lord Be Touched by These Curses?

A Christian who is truly walking with the Lord, living in repentance, prayer, obedience, forgiveness, and faith in Jesus Christ should not live in fear of curses.

Proverbs 26:2 KJV says:

“As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.”

A curse needs legal ground. If there is no agreement, no open door, and no right for the enemy to operate, the believer can stand in Christ’s authority.

Luke 10:19 KJV says:

“Behold, I give unto you power… over all the power of the enemy…”

However, Christians can give the enemy access through:

Fear
Occult involvement
Fortune-telling
Palm reading
Tarot
Rebellion
Unforgiveness
Bitterness
Idolatry
Sexual sin
Generational witchcraft
Cursed objects
Agreeing with the curse
Speaking the curse over themselves
Going back to occult practitioners for help

A believer should not fear curses, but they should also not play with occult practices.

Why Would Someone Get Involved With These Practices?

People may get involved because they are afraid, desperate, curious, or searching for answers. Some go to fortune-tellers or occult practitioners to know the future, get help with love, find money answers, break a curse, contact the dead, or receive spiritual protection.

People may get involved because of:

Fear of the future
Curiosity
Family tradition
Superstition
Desperation for answers
Relationship problems
Financial stress
Health concerns
Desire for control
Belief in fortune-tellers
Fear of curses
Desire to curse someone else
Seeking protection outside of God
Lack of biblical knowledge

But seeking help from occult power only opens more doors.

Isaiah 8:19 KJV says:

“Should not a people seek unto their God?”

How Does It Hurt a Christian Who Dabbles With It?

A Christian who dabbles with fortune-telling, palmistry, evil-eye charms, spoken curses, curse removal rituals, occult protection, or Gypsy magic is entering a spiritual mixture.

1 Corinthians 10:21 KJV says:

“Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils…”

It can hurt a Christian by:

Opening doors to familiar spirits
Increasing fear and superstition
Creating dependence on occult workers
Weakening discernment
Inviting spiritual confusion
Creating bondage to curses
Opening doors to witchcraft
Replacing prayer with rituals
Creating torment and nightmares
Opening generational doors
Bringing false peace
Causing double-mindedness
Blocking intimacy with the Holy Spirit

A Christian should not seek an occult worker to remove a curse. That only deepens the bondage. Jesus Christ breaks curses.

What Curses Can Come on a Christian Through Dabbling?

From a deliverance perspective, possible spiritual consequences may include:

A curse of divination — seeking hidden knowledge through fortune-telling, palmistry, or occult methods.
A curse of fear — fear of bad luck, evil eye, curses, or retaliation.
A curse of witchcraft — agreement with occult power and manipulation.
A curse of familiar spirits — spirits that imitate guidance, warning, protection, or insight.
A curse of poverty — financial loss connected to fear-based occult agreements.
A curse of confusion — inability to hear God clearly.
A curse of torment — nightmares, oppression, panic, or spiritual harassment.
A curse of superstition — bondage to signs, objects, rituals, or lucky/unlucky beliefs.
A curse of idolatry — trusting charms, readers, rituals, or objects instead of Jesus.
A curse of double-mindedness — trying to follow Jesus while consulting occult sources.
A curse of generational occultism — inherited family patterns of divination, witchcraft, curses, and fear.
A curse of retaliation — backlash from participating in occult practices.

The good news is that Jesus Christ breaks every curse.

Galatians 3:13 KJV says:

“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us…”

What Should a Christian Do?

A Christian should repent, renounce occult involvement, break agreement with fear, and refuse to live under intimidation.

Renounce:

Fortune-telling
Palmistry
Evil-eye beliefs
Spoken curses
Occult curse removal
Witchcraft
Divination
Familiar spirits
Fear of curses
Superstitions
Amulets or charms used for protection
Tarot or psychic readings
Paying occult workers for help
Generational occultism
Agreement with any curse spoken over your life

Acts 19:19 KJV says:

“Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men…”

Prayer of Renunciation

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I repent for any involvement with fortune-telling, palmistry, evil-eye beliefs, spoken curses, occult protection, curse removal rituals, charms, divination, witchcraft, familiar spirits, superstition, and fear.

I renounce every agreement I made knowingly or unknowingly with occult curses, Gypsy curses, fortune-teller curses, evil-eye curses, spoken witchcraft, fear, intimidation, and familiar spirits.

I break every curse spoken over me, my family, my health, my mind, my marriage, my children, my finances, my destiny, and my walk with God. I declare that Jesus Christ is my Lord, my Savior, my Deliverer, and my Protector.

Every spirit of witchcraft, divination, fear, torment, confusion, superstition, familiar spirits, poverty, sickness, retaliation, and bondage must leave me now in the name of Jesus Christ.

I close every door opened through fear, curiosity, ignorance, rebellion, occult objects, fortune-telling, or agreement with curses. I cover myself and my family with the blood of Jesus Christ.

Holy Spirit, cleanse me, restore my discernment, and fill every place where darkness had access. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Final Word

Christians do not need to fear Gypsy curses, evil-eye curses, fortune-teller curses, or spoken witchcraft. But they must not dabble in occult practices or give the enemy legal ground.

The believer’s protection is not in charms, rituals, or curse removers. Protection is in Jesus Christ.

John 8:36 KJV says:

“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”

Gematria and Geomancy: A Biblical Warning for Christians

Gematria and Geomancy: A Biblical Warning for Christians

Gematria and Geomancy: A Biblical Warning for Christians

Gematria, Geomancy, and Geomantic Figures: A Biblical Warning About Numerology and Earth Divination

Gematria, geomancy, and geomantic figures are occult and divinatory practices used to seek hidden knowledge, spiritual meaning, direction, predictions, or supernatural answers apart from God. These practices may sound intellectual, ancient, mathematical, symbolic, or mystical, but when they are used to interpret destiny, receive guidance, uncover hidden messages, or predict future outcomes, they become divination.

God’s Word warns His people not to seek hidden knowledge through forbidden spiritual systems. Christians are called to seek the Lord, obey His Word, and be led by the Holy Spirit—not numbers, symbols, sand patterns, rocks, soil, or occult figures.

What Is Gematria?

Gematria is the practice of assigning numerical value to letters, names, words, or phrases and then interpreting those numbers for hidden or mystical meaning. Britannica describes gematria as substituting numbers for letters of the Hebrew alphabet, especially as a method used by medieval Kabbalists to seek mystical insights or new interpretations of sacred writings.

Some people use gematria to search for secret codes, hidden meanings, prophecy, names, dates, spiritual messages, or numerical connections. While counting letters or studying language is not automatically sinful, using numbers as a mystical system for revelation, destiny, prophecy, hidden knowledge, or spiritual direction moves into occult numerology.

What Is Geomancy?

Geomancy is a form of divination using marks, dots, lines, figures, or patterns in earth, sand, soil, stones, or markings on the ground. Britannica defines geomancy as “divination by earth” and says it involves making marks in sand or dirt to cast a geomantic chart.

In geomancy, a person may toss sand, rocks, soil, or create random dots and then interpret the resulting patterns. Britannica explains that the practice often includes asking a question, casting points and figures, and interpreting the figures arranged in a chart or tableau.

What Are Geomantic Figures?

Geomantic figures are symbols used in divinatory geomancy. They are made from patterns of single or double dots. Britannica explains that geomancers create dotted lines and use odd or even numbers to form figures; the figures are then placed into a divinatory tableau for interpretation.

Britannica also notes that each of the possible 16 figures may have names and attributes connected to planets, zodiac signs, elements, time, gender, emotions, and orientation.

This shows how geomancy often becomes mixed with astrology, elemental spirituality, symbols, and occult interpretation.

Where Did These Practices Come From?

Gematria developed in Jewish mystical and interpretive traditions, especially among medieval Kabbalists. It became a method of finding hidden meanings in sacred texts through numerical values.

Geomancy has been practiced for centuries in different cultures, especially in the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and Africa. Britannica states that medieval Europe received geomancy from the Middle East and combined it with astrology to create a European form of geomancy.

Geomantic figures came out of the geomantic system itself. They are the symbolic figures produced through the casting or marking process and then interpreted for answers.

Who Is the Founder?

There is no single founder of all gematria, geomancy, or geomantic figures.

Gematria developed over time through Hebrew letter-number systems and mystical interpretation, especially among Kabbalists. Geomancy developed across different cultures as a method of divination by earth, and later spread through Middle Eastern and European occult traditions. Geomantic figures are not tied to one founder; they belong to the broader geomantic divination system.

For your article, you can say:

Gematria, geomancy, and geomantic figures do not have one single founder. They developed through ancient and medieval mystical, occult, Kabbalistic, Middle Eastern, and divinatory traditions where people sought hidden knowledge, spiritual answers, and future guidance outside of God.

What Are They Used For?

These practices may be used for:

Finding hidden meanings
Predicting the future
Seeking spiritual guidance
Interpreting names, words, dates, or phrases
Trying to uncover secret codes
Divination
Occult numerology
Kabbalistic interpretation
Astrological connections
Determining destiny
Making decisions
Finding answers about health, money, love, or business
Seeking signs from the universe
Interpreting earth patterns
Receiving supernatural messages
Practicing ritual magic or occult study

Britannica notes that geomancy questions may involve marriage, children, rulers, health, journeys, finances, and business.

Why Are They Against God’s Word?

These practices are against God’s Word when they are used as divination, occult interpretation, hidden knowledge, spiritual guidance, or supernatural revelation apart from the Lord.

Deuteronomy 18:10–12 KJV says:

“There shall not be found among you any one that… useth divination… or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch… For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD.”

Geomancy is openly a form of divination. Gematria becomes spiritually dangerous when used as occult numerology or hidden revelation. Geomantic figures are tools of divination.

Leviticus 19:31 KJV says:

“Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them…”

When people seek hidden spiritual answers from occult systems, familiar spirits can imitate wisdom, guidance, revelation, and insight.

Isaiah 8:19 KJV says:

“Should not a people seek unto their God?”

God’s people are not called to seek answers from numbers, earth patterns, symbols, or occult charts. They are called to seek God.

Colossians 2:8 KJV warns:

“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men… and not after Christ.”

Gematria, geomancy, and geomantic figures can become vain deceit when they pull people away from the plain truth of Scripture into hidden codes, occult meanings, and symbolic bondage.

1 John 4:1 KJV says:

“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God…”

Not every insight, number pattern, dream, sign, or spiritual impression comes from God.

Why Would Someone Get Involved?

People may get involved because they are curious, spiritually hungry, confused, wounded, or searching for answers. Some are drawn by the idea of secret knowledge. Others like the intellectual or mystical appearance of numbers and symbols.

Common reasons include:

Curiosity
Desire for hidden knowledge
Fear of the future
Desire for control
Interest in numerology
Interest in Kabbalah
Fascination with symbols
Desire to decode names or dates
Wanting supernatural guidance
Confusion about God’s will
Interest in astrology or divination
New Age influence
Occult study
Rebellion against God’s Word
Desire to feel spiritually advanced or special

The enemy often uses “hidden wisdom” to pull people away from simple obedience to Jesus Christ.

How Does It Hurt a Christian Who Dabbles With It?

A Christian who dabbles in gematria, geomancy, or geomantic figures can become spiritually double-minded. Instead of seeking God in prayer and Scripture, they may start looking for signs, numbers, patterns, charts, and secret meanings.

These practices can hurt a Christian by:

Opening doors to divination
Opening doors to familiar spirits
Creating obsession with numbers and symbols
Weakening biblical discernment
Creating confusion and fear
Replacing prayer with occult interpretation
Creating spiritual pride
Leading into Kabbalah, astrology, tarot, ritual magic, and New Age practices
Bringing false revelation
Producing fear-based decisions
Making the person dependent on signs
Distorting Scripture
Creating bondage to hidden meanings
Blocking intimacy with the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit does not need occult number codes, sand patterns, or divination figures to guide the believer.

Romans 8:14 KJV says:

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”

What Curses Can Come on a Christian?

From a deliverance perspective, dabbling in these practices can open spiritual doors. Possible spiritual consequences may include:

A curse of divination — seeking hidden knowledge through forbidden systems.
A curse of familiar spirits — counterfeit guidance, insight, revelation, or wisdom.
A curse of confusion — difficulty discerning God’s voice from deception.
A curse of occult numerology — bondage to numbers, names, dates, and patterns.
A curse of witchcraft — using symbols, charts, and spiritual systems to manipulate outcomes.
A curse of astrology — especially when geomantic figures are connected to planets or zodiac signs.
A curse of spiritual pride — feeling superior because of secret knowledge.
A curse of fear and superstition — fear of certain numbers, patterns, dates, or signs.
A curse of false revelation — believing counterfeit messages as if they came from God.
A curse of double-mindedness — mixing Christianity with occult interpretation.
A curse of spiritual blindness — calling hidden occult knowledge “truth.”
A curse of generational occultism — inherited patterns of divination, numerology, Kabbalah, or fortune-telling.

The good news is that Jesus Christ breaks every curse.

Galatians 3:13 KJV says:

“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us…”

What Should a Christian Do?

A Christian should repent, renounce these practices, remove occult materials, and return to the Word of God.

Renounce:

Gematria used as occult numerology
Geomancy
Geomantic figures
Divination
Kabbalistic occult interpretation
Number magic
Secret codes used for guidance
Earth divination
Astrology-linked geomancy
Familiar spirits
False revelation
Occult symbols and charts
New Age numerology
Spiritually interpreting patterns outside of God

Acts 19:19 KJV says:

“Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men…”

Prayer of Renunciation

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I repent for any involvement with gematria, occult numerology, geomancy, geomantic figures, divination, Kabbalistic occult interpretation, astrology-linked symbols, hidden codes, secret meanings, and familiar spirits.

I renounce every agreement I made knowingly or unknowingly with divination, occult numbers, earth divination, false revelation, spiritual pride, superstition, fear, confusion, and hidden knowledge outside of God.

I break every curse connected to gematria, geomancy, geomantic figures, occult numerology, Kabbalah, divination, astrology, familiar spirits, and generational occultism. I declare that Jesus Christ is my Lord, my Savior, my Deliverer, and my only source of truth.

Every spirit of divination, familiar spirits, false revelation, confusion, fear, superstition, spiritual pride, witchcraft, and occult bondage must leave me now in the name of Jesus Christ.

Holy Spirit, cleanse my mind, imagination, discernment, and spiritual hearing. Teach me to seek God’s Word, not hidden codes. Lead me into all truth. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Final Word

Gematria, geomancy, and geomantic figures may look ancient, symbolic, intellectual, or spiritual, but Christians must discern the source. God does not lead His people through occult numbers, earth divination, or symbolic charts.

You do not need hidden codes. You need Jesus Christ.

John 8:32 KJV says:

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

What Is Enochian and Why Is It Dangerous for Christians?

What Is Enochian and Why Is It Dangerous for Christians?

What Is Enochian and Why Is It Dangerous for Christians?

Enochian: A Biblical Warning About “Angelic” Magic, Occult Language, and Forbidden Spirit Contact

Enochian is an occult system connected to an alleged “angelic language,” spirit communication, scrying, ritual magic, magical tables, invocations, and attempts to gain hidden knowledge from spiritual beings. It is often presented as “angelic,” “high magic,” “sacred language,” or “communication with angels,” but Christians must test the source. The Bible makes it clear that not every spirit is from God.

1 John 4:1 KJV says:

“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God…”

The danger with Enochian is that it claims to communicate with angels, but it was received through occult methods, including scrying and séances. That places it under the biblical warnings against divination, familiar spirits, and occult practices.

Where Did Enochian Come From?

Enochian came from the late 1500s through the work of John Dee and Edward Kelley in England. Dee was a scholar, mathematician, astrologer, and adviser connected to Queen Elizabeth I’s court. Edward Kelley was a scryer or medium who worked with Dee during their spiritual experiments.

Britannica says John Dee sought “divine assistance” by attempting to converse with angels, and that Dee and Kelley held numerous séances in England and on the Continent between 1583 and 1589.

The Enochian language itself is described as an occult constructed language said by Dee and Kelley to have been received from angels, recorded in Dee’s private journals in the late 16th century. It became central to Enochian magic.

Who Is the Founder of Enochian?

The founders of Enochian are commonly identified as John Dee and Edward Kelley. Dee recorded the material, while Kelley served as the scryer who claimed to see and receive messages from spirits or angels.

For your article, you can say:

Enochian was developed through the occult work of John Dee and Edward Kelley in the late 1500s. They claimed the language and magical system were received from angels, but the method involved scrying, séances, spirit communication, and occult ritual practices, which the Bible forbids.

Why Is It Called “Enochian”?

The name comes from the biblical figure Enoch, but this does not make the practice biblical. Dee believed this was an ancient angelic or Adamic language, and later writers called it “Enochian” because of Dee’s claim that the patriarch Enoch had once known the language.

This is important: using a biblical name does not make an occult practice holy. Satan often disguises deception with religious language.

2 Corinthians 11:14 KJV says:

“And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.”

What Is Enochian Used For?

Enochian may be used for:

Ritual magic
Scrying
Calling on spirits
Invoking angels
Opening “gates” or “watchtowers”
Seeking hidden knowledge
Receiving revelation outside of Scripture
Occult initiation
Magical protection
Divination
Astrology-based magic
Ceremonial magic
Spirit communication
Occult language work
Visionary experiences
Attempting to gain supernatural power

Some occult practitioners believe Enochian is a powerful system for accessing spiritual realms, angels, elemental forces, or hidden wisdom. Christians must understand that the Holy Spirit does not lead believers into occult language, spirit communication, magic tables, or ritual invocations.

Why Is Enochian Against God’s Word?

Enochian is against God’s Word because it involves occult communication, divination, spirit contact, magical ritual, and seeking hidden knowledge outside of God.

Deuteronomy 18:10–12 KJV says:

“There shall not be found among you any one that… useth divination… or an enchanter, or a witch, or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits… For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD.”

Enochian involves the same forbidden categories: spirit communication, divination, magical language, and occult ritual.

Leviticus 19:31 KJV says:

“Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them…”

Even if a spirit calls itself an angel, that does not mean it is from God. Familiar spirits can imitate light, wisdom, revelation, and angelic messages.

Colossians 2:18 KJV warns:

“Let no man beguile you of your reward… worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen…”

Enochian is especially dangerous because it centers around alleged angelic contact and hidden spiritual knowledge.

Galatians 1:8 KJV says:

“But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you… let him be accursed.”

Even an “angelic” message must be rejected if it leads away from the truth of Jesus Christ and the Word of God.

Why Would Someone Get Involved in Enochian?

People may become involved in Enochian because it feels powerful, mysterious, intellectual, ancient, angelic, or spiritual. Some are attracted to it through ceremonial magic, occult books, online occult communities, tarot, astrology, witchcraft, Freemasonry-related esoteric studies, Kabbalah, or “angel magic.”

People may get involved because of:

Curiosity
Desire for hidden knowledge
Desire for supernatural power
Fascination with angels
Interest in ceremonial magic
Occult study
Spiritual pride
Rebellion against God’s Word
Desire to contact spirits
Desire for visions or revelations
Attraction to secret languages
Desire to feel chosen or initiated
Trauma and desire for control
New Age or witchcraft influence

The enemy often uses “angelic” language to make forbidden spirit contact seem holy.

How Does Enochian Hurt a Christian Who Dabbles With It?

A Christian who dabbles in Enochian is not simply studying another language. They are entering a system connected to spirit communication, scrying, séances, magical tables, and occult invocations.

1 Corinthians 10:21 KJV says:

“Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils…”

Enochian can hurt a Christian by:

Opening doors to familiar spirits
Bringing false angelic encounters
Increasing nightmares or spiritual torment
Weakening discernment
Creating spiritual pride
Drawing the believer into ritual magic
Replacing prayer with invocation
Creating obsession with hidden knowledge
Leading to deception, confusion, and fear
Opening doors to divination and witchcraft
Producing counterfeit revelation
Blocking intimacy with the Holy Spirit
Creating bondage to occult symbols, tables, and words

The believer does not need Enochian calls, angelic keys, watchtowers, magical squares, or spirit messages. The believer needs the Word of God, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus Christ.

What Curses Can Come on a Christian Through Enochian?

From a deliverance perspective, involvement in Enochian can open doors to curses and spiritual bondage. These may include:

A curse of divination — seeking hidden knowledge through forbidden spiritual sources.
A curse of familiar spirits — spirits imitating angels, guides, wisdom, or revelation.
A curse of witchcraft — using ritual magic, invocations, occult tables, or spiritual manipulation.
A curse of false revelation — receiving counterfeit messages, visions, or “angelic” instruction.
A curse of confusion — difficulty discerning the Holy Spirit from deceiving spirits.
A curse of spiritual pride — feeling superior because of secret knowledge or occult initiation.
A curse of fear and torment — nightmares, oppression, dread, or strange manifestations.
A curse of double-mindedness — trying to follow Jesus while practicing occult magic.
A curse of angel worship — fascination with angels rather than devotion to Christ.
A curse of spiritual blindness — calling occult communication “holy” or “angelic.”
A curse of bondage to symbols and words — dependence on Enochian calls, keys, tables, or scripts.
A curse of generational occultism — inherited patterns of spiritism, magic, divination, or secret societies.

The good news is that Jesus Christ breaks every curse.

Galatians 3:13 KJV says:

“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us…”

What Should a Christian Do?

A Christian should repent, renounce Enochian, reject false angelic communication, and remove occult materials connected to Enochian magic, angel magic, scrying, ritual magic, occult scripts, and spirit contact.

Renounce:

Enochian magic
Enochian calls and keys
Scrying
Séances
Spirit communication
False angelic messages
Angelic magic
Watchtowers
Magical tables
Occult alphabets
Ritual invocations
Divination
Ceremonial magic
Familiar spirits
False revelation
Secret knowledge
Angel worship
Occult books, tools, symbols, and scripts

Acts 19:19 KJV says:

“Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men…”

When believers came out of occult practices, they separated from them completely.

Prayer of Renunciation

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I repent for any involvement with Enochian magic, Enochian calls, angelic keys, scrying, séances, spirit communication, ritual magic, occult alphabets, false angelic contact, watchtowers, magical tables, divination, and familiar spirits.

I renounce every agreement I made knowingly or unknowingly with Enochian, John Dee’s occult system, Edward Kelley’s spirit communication, angel magic, false revelation, secret knowledge, spiritual pride, and counterfeit light.

I break every curse connected to Enochian magic, false angels, familiar spirits, divination, witchcraft, occult language, ceremonial magic, and generational occultism. I declare that Jesus Christ is my Lord, my Savior, my Deliverer, and my only source of truth and revelation.

Every spirit attached to Enochian, false angelic messages, familiar spirits, divination, witchcraft, fear, torment, confusion, spiritual pride, and occult bondage must leave me now in the name of Jesus Christ.

Holy Spirit, cleanse my mind, dreams, imagination, language, discernment, and spiritual hearing. Close every occult door and fill every place where darkness had access. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Final Word

Enochian may be called “angelic,” but Christians must not be deceived by spiritual language. The Bible does not tell believers to use occult alphabets, scrying, séances, magical tables, or angelic invocations to receive revelation.

God has given us His Word, His Spirit, and His Son.

John 14:6 KJV says:

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life…”
